No, Cora. Its not that. I... I should've given you a choice. I should have found a way to make things better... I.....
*Tavin starts to fade away*
Cora, I am sorry... and please..... Give Alex another chance.
*Tavin disappears*

:::Cora leans into the spot Tavin disappeared from. She propped her arms in the chair and rubbed her head for a moment:::
:::sigh...:::
:::It wasn't long before she got up, found another bottle of wine, as she intended originally, and walked back to her room:::

Tac faded in midstride, his right pantleg blackened slightly, but looking no worse for wear. He seemed to be escorting someone through a building as he spoke, "...PD, and some old. Now I think we have the forces to expand outwards and serve these peo...ple...Well...damn." He glanced about, no longer in the GPD speaking with Fae, "Meh, she'll still be around, might as well think up some punishment for Orcus while I'm here. Cheeky b*****d. Who the hell blows up a desk?" Yup, he was talking to himself again.

:::Cora enters the bar. Her hair is down and her boots are off. Cradled in her arms are a large stack of books, which she appears to be taking back to the library. But that plan haults when she sees someone familiar in the bar. Her breathe sticks to the back of her throat:::

Tac doesn't notice her as yet, rather focused upon the task at hand. Sliding a chair out he plops down and lifts his feet to rest on the table it had been pulled from, facing mostly away from Cora. He fiddles with an orange tinted bracer on his left arm as he thinks, "Hmm...hang him from a flagpole? Nah...toss him to a dog or two? No...I could dunk him in water like every few seconds for the next week..."

:::Cora looks from side to side, the books in her hands becoming a lot heavier than they actually were. She'd never encountered a situation like this...but the feeling was familiar... that nasty hollow feeling in the pit of your stomach.
Should I say something? Well it would be rude to just walk away... but if I turn around, and go back to my room he might never know I was here:::
:::But just then her arm shifted dispite her and she shuffled her feet to rebalance the books. Realizing that she probably made herself obvious, she cleared her throat:::

"..ive him to the ca-" It was then that he caught a sound, confirmed by Cora clearing her throat. His eyes squinted as his face twisted up in confusion, Nah... He wanted to shake it off, but there was someone there, and he knew who it was likely to be. He turned to glance back, his chair tilting back slightly as he turned to catch a glimpse of her, but he cast his eyes back to the table, "Hey...been a while since I last saw you, quite a bit longer since..."I saw you without your arms draped around the b*****d, Alex. He might have wanted to say it, but didn't.

:::She shuffled, not knowing what to do with the damn books... or if she should walk closer or stay there. She was blaming it on her lack of experience with relationships, but really anyone would have felt that way:::
Yes... uhm. I haven't seen you in a while either... I dont think you appear here as often as you once did, but then... who can tell?

He gave a light sigh,"No, not nearly as often, likely...two or three times in the past few months, I'd say. Heh, I remember a time where it might be multiple times in a day." He let out a sigh and slowly let his feet back down to the ground, turning to look at her, eyes hidden behind his shades, "How have you an-" he winced ever so slightly, "how have you been? You...look good, the long hair and all."

I'm... alright.
:::She attempted to look down at her hair:::
You think the hair looks good too? It hasn't been cut since I left Omegatropolis... I have nothing to cut it with.
:::Cora wasn't sure what to say or do still, and already an excruciating one hundred and thirty seconds had passed:::

Tac's lips curled up in what might be called a smile, but it was weighted so by the air that it was hardly there at all. He gave a slight nod, "Good...thats good. Maybe you could get someone to conjure you up some scizors or something? I think it looks better long, but too long might be a problem. Brink would get its own personal Rapunzel, golden tresses and all."

Like the Brothers Grimm say...? I don't think hair actually gets that long... Either way, until Luana finishes building that aquachronometer, well... I've been using it to keep track of how long I've been here...
:::She got frustrated finally and walked towards the bar with all the books:::

His smile might actually have become a smile, "Even if it doesn't grow quite so long, by comparison to most, it would surely be long indeed, given time." He turned back away from her as she made for the bar, thoughts dancing about him, but also a certain fear. It wasn't a fear of anyone or anything particular, but a grouping, mainly what he'd do if Alex showed up and ruined such a tear-free reunion. Though beyond that it was just what Cora might say. He'd been an a**, he knew that much. He had lied and paid the price, but that was in the past, or as close to one as this place could get. Closing his eyes for a moment he slid from his seat and up into a stand, heading towards the bar, but not directly for Cora as yet, "So...what have you been reading?"

Mm... :::she saw that he was also heading towards the bar, and she quickly busied herself with putting down the books and organizing them in any fashion she could come up with:::
Well... I've read a lot of books. You know, the Brink has so many... I've read a lot about religions, and mythology, about all the things people think happen after you die, I was sort of hoping someone would have mentioned a place like the Brink but nothing like it has come up.
:::She picked up a book she'd finished reading in her room, the title read, advanced "Spacetime geometries: featuring quantum entanglement::: And of course some light reading too. But science and math make no mention of the Brink either.

He quirked a brow as he slid up against the bar a few stools down, though not sitting, "You think this place would allow any books that tell us its secrets? Thats too easy, like buying the strategy guide to a game. Yeah, its helpful, but it cuts out the excitement of the journey. Plus, if most people told their friends about this place, they'd likely find themselves in an asylum right quick. Myself...maybe not quite so much. People know I'm...eccentric, among other things."
