Yawgmoth laughed like a mad man when the explosion took place the explosion of mana being mixed with the shadows created a small feedback loop. Each piece of mana was being broken down by the shadows, Yawgmoth could absorb the shadows and therefore absorb the mana spitting out via the same darkness what didn't want to cooperate with his bodily systems. This small loop kept going until there was no more mana left to be absorbed by Yawgmoth. This, however, put every single system he had into high gear causing him to become incredibly energized in every way. Removing any toll the planeshifting had caused and instantly refilling the matrix from the excess mana, once that was down the energy simply spread to other systems empowered by the darkness he was so immune to. The mana may have been a catalyst but the darkness that covered it acted as a conducting wire transferring the energy safely into Yawgmoth. The emperor gave Skyeheart a grim smile and pointed his finger at him. From the very tip of his finger a glow of white started to form. Slowly it darkened into a purple gleam before turning pitch black. From the small showing of energy came a beam about an inch or two wide of solid dark energy streamlinging for the dragnewt at even more than full power. The energy charge had empowered the small lazer like beam a great deal and any contact with it was sure to prove very damaging if not fatal.

((quick explination to avoid any OOC arguging: Think of unstable mana as electricity, it's random has no control but since its mixed with the darkness think of the darkness like a power line running to a house. Yawgmoth being the house. It turns unstable random energy into power that can be utilized such is the case here. The darkness directed the random energy of mana into Yawgmoth and supercharged him))

Skyeheart was unyeilding though, he could absorb energy too.
After all, there were many different dragonkin and deities. Who's to say they all were born from the light?
Skyeheart was about show Yawgmoth the dark side of dragons, or rather, the parellel side. Each dragonkin had a more powerful double side to them that existed in the world of shadows. He knew that when he met Dark Bahamut in Draconia's netherworld, who was binded by soul to his light side. Praying into the darkness, Skyeheart's spirit reached out into the abyss of shadows and linked with his counterpart.
The blast hit, but was absorbed just like Yawgmoth had done. There no longer stood a red dragonewt knight, but a pitch-black dragonkin in purple armor, Dark Skyeheart. Refreshed by the pure energy of shadows like Yawgmoth had been.
The battle was about to start all over again....

Yawgmoth, however, misunderstood the meaning of the transformation. Dark Skyeheart was a completely different being and soul, not even the body was the same entirely. Born from the shadows itself when the dragonewt knight came to being, Dark Skyeheart was more like Yawgmoth than he thought.
Dark Skyeheart simply closed his eyes without a word, and began to channel his dark energy. Like the flow of the river, it adapted and followed the same path, running parallel to Yawgmoth's. Adjusting the flow and ebb of the cycle as it intensified, Dark Skyeheart's energy synergized with Yawgmoth's, becoming one with his own power. No matter how hard Yawgmoth concentrated, he could not overload Skyeheart's body, because the energy in the dark dragonkin's body had adapted to his flow, and no matter how many times he changed it, it changed with his motion. Finally, the flow became so close he could not tell his energy from Dark Skyeheart's. His power inside Dark Skyeheart had reached it's peak, and Dark Skyeheart could actually contain it!
He had not succeeded in destroying the dark dragonkin, all he had done was bring his power levels equal to his own.
(It's like if you're caught in the river, run fast enough to match it and it will seem like still water.)

But Yawgmoth still did not comprehend the true meaning of Dark Skyeheart's form. He had no lifeforce, he merely existed because Skyeheart did. The darkness would indeed be extracted and the body torn apart, but that was not Skyeheart's true body, it was merely a shell of his parallel darkness, a shell that could easily be replaced along with the energy. The darkness surged out of the body and back into Yawgmoth's as Dark Skyeheart pertified and crumbled. But as the body crumbled once the energy was gone, a glowing body could be seen underneath.
Skyeheart was back, and the dark energy Yawgmoth had implanted into him was now gone, back inside Yawgmoth.
(Think of it this way. When you're faced with a poison someone has to take, what do you do? Use a double body that replacable, Like the soul of Dark Skyeheart. It transformed Skyeheart's body into a hollow shell to harbor it darkness by using it's own body that couldn't exist outside the plane of shadows. When the shell is destroyed, like what you did, Skyeheart's true body comes back, like a doppledanger.)

((If you take the contents of the shell out the being inside still dies. Same principal here. Yawgmoth took the life essence from skye that was tied by the dark energy under his control. That means the 'real skye' got his life essence taken. Not some shell. Yawgmoth took the guts out so to speak. So when the shell 'crumbles' or whatever. There's nothing left inside. No life. meaning skyeheart is dead.))

(Actually, he can, their bodies are separate, his body just reappears in the exact same place.)
