Haucon nodded to the others, both anxious to leave and worried about Leila at the same time. She'll be fine. he told himself. We won't be gone long at all and if she's here and asleep, how can you help her anyway? he asked scoffing at himself. "Alright, let's go then." he said opening the door and heading out the door. "Liam...where'd you get that cat from?" he asked once they were on the stairs, now that he wasn't so distracted.

Liam followed as instructed, walking swiftly down the stairs after Haucon, his long legs trying hard not to skip steps. He looked over to Haucon and then back at the oddly warm cat in his arms that made no move to escape. "In an alleyway," he said in his quiet voice. He wasn't even sure how he'd actually found the cat, it was more along the lines of how the cat found Liam.

Haucon felt he needed to make a gesture, for Leila if not for himself. "Does it have a name?" he asked almost as quietly as Liam had answered. "And is he or she hungry? We can stop by a convenience store and pick up some fresh milk if you want, I'm afraid all of mine is a bit er...past..." he said trailing off. They walked down the darkening streets as the street lamps just began to turn on. Haucon pulled another cigarette from his pocket and lit it off the stub of the one in his mouth, before stomping out the butt of the last one. He offered one to Liam. "I assume you don't smoke..." he said to Holly.

Liam looked down at the cat when Haucon offered to go get some milk, and in response the cat looked up at him with hauntingly green eyes, letting out a 'meow'. "It might be hungry.." he said, "And no, it doesn't have a tag or a collar or anything," he said, his voice remaining quiet. He could feel Haucon's need to fill the gap between them, even if it was only because they would be traveling with each other. Liam watched the bright street lamps as they passed them, fading from dark to light to dark again in a matter of yards walked. When Haucon offered him a cigarette, he glanced down at his arms quickly, remembering the scars that he had made from burning himself with similar items. But he accepted one anyway, not wanting to seem rude in any way, even if refusing a cigarette wasn't exactly rude.

Holly smiled at Haucon as she replied, "And you'd be right in that assumption."
Then, she flicked her jade green eyes on Liam and asked curiously, "Are you going to name it? You two seem pretty attached to each other. A bond of support, it almost seems like."

Liam looked into the angel's eyes for a couple seconds before staring down at the slightly dirty black cat, who seemed to be quite comfortable where it was. "I don't know what I would name it," he said, "I don't even know if it's a boy or a girl..."

Holly cocked her head slightly. "Why not check its gender?"
Then she added with a small giggled, "Or you could name it an unisexual name. Like Devin. Or Shannon. Or Ashley."

The heavy scents of take-out reached Haucon's nostrils and he smiled despite himself. He looked up at the sign on the front: Lucky Panda Express Takeout illuminated in neon. He glanced at the others before ducking through the door to the counter with the little water fountain and maneki neko (good luck cat). The same pretty girl was at the counter, but Haucon didn't even notice her this time, as he stood salivating and trying to decide what to get. He stared at the little white beckoning cat on the counter and then at the one in Liam's arms. "Or 'Lucky'" He said to Liam laughing a bit.

Liam made a face when Holly suggested Ashley and Shannon. Those seemed more like girl names to him, he wouldn't wan to offend the cat. Following cautiously behind Haucon into the take-out place, wondering i he would have to wait outside since he had the cat. The girl at the counter was attractive, but Liam had no intent of speaking to her. He'd rather just wait for Haucon to order. Liam tilted his head like a dog at Haucon's suggestion. Lucky.. it sounded like a good name, maybe it would even bring them some luck in the future as well. "Lucky," he repeated, stroking the cat's fur.

Haucon looked up at the board reading it, and thinking to himself. Let's see there's 6 of us, and I know I'm really hungry, and Dream and Leila are trying to regain strength, so they'll need lots of food. he thought, trying to justify himself. He stepped up to the counter. "I think we'll take a quart of vegetable lo mein, a pint each of general tsao's, mixed vegetables, kim chi, spicy beef with broccoli, and steamed dumplings." he announced. The girl's eyes went wide. Haucon turned to Holly and Liam. "You guys think we'll want anything else?" he asked as the young woman punched the numbers into the cash register.

Kihaku walked slowly over to a couch and sat down. Her curosity getting the best of her, she looked over at Dream. "Hey Dream? How did you guys meet eachother? I've never seen such a diverse group of people..."

Holly giggled at the girl's expression, not in the least bit offended that Liam had named the cat Lucky. "Not especially.... I haven't had much experience in asian food outside of instant ramen, rice, and fortune cookies."
She grinned, "Dessert would be very good. There's nothing like a good, sweet dessert to revitalize energy."

Dream went over to the couch as well. He glanced over at Lelia, who appeared to be in the middle of a nightmare. He would have done something, but it wasn't good for him to interfere with her against her will, and besides, he had learned a lot from his nightmares. Perhaps she would too.
He turned back to Kihaku as she spoke to him. He grinned; they were indeed a diverse group of people. "Well, it started out with me, Leila, and Violet. I don't think you know her yet, she's a chaos demon, and she's not with our group anymore, she went back to her own. Anyway, when we met, Violet went after me, sortof. We never really fought, but we were on the planet for completely different reasons. She had to destroy it, I had to save it. Leila ended up coming back after she died, so she came with us about that time too. We went around for a while and we didn't get along too badly. Then Holly came into the mix, and then Haucon and Liam. Leila and Haucon went their own way for a while, then they came back to the rest of the group. Liam used to be possessed by an evil spirit, which made him travel with Violet and another demon - they were already forming their own group by then - but now Liam's free of darkness and we're all here."
He sighed. "So yeah, we've got a big history in a really short time. What about you? I'd like to know how you came to be here."

She nodded and bit her lip. "Yeah, that is a long history." Looking down at her hands, she laced and unlaced her fingers together, a habit. She looked over at Dream again, a small smile on her face. "I don't really know anything about myself. I woke up in a care center after I was attacked by an angel. Before that, I don't really remember anything. Like, I can fight, I know that much and I know I hate thunder...thats about all I know of myself." She reached up and began to toy with her locket, another habit she had.
