A the beginning of Storm's "speech," Kibo had tapped the 2nd rune marking on his arm, creating a vacuum around Storm's head, not allowing sound to pass through the half-inch area of nothingness.
Kibo: She's just bitter that I took her ship and gave it to someone else, after she betrayed me, fought me, and shot me. In the head.

"Whats happened isn't as important as what may happen thats the problem." Ranu said shuffling to the seat. He fell into it an a flinch of pain passed, "Admiral. I went outside and someone smashed me over the head with this." He showed a candle. Peachy coloured. Used for spells of the flesh. "I was dragged to an alley and he light candles around me. Peach and orange," Orange meant it was to be change. "He light them and chanted. Something blew them out..." He gave a shiver and felt his body flame up. "I think he cursed me. There was something about him that... He mentioned my brother..." Ranu was in shock. It was clear, and blood dripped freely to the table. He closed his eyes and shuddered.

Kibo cocks his head curiously, leaning forward.
Kibo: Well, they changed you from a werewolf. And if you were a human, or a majority of other otherworldly creatures, you'd have bled out by now. That leaves only a few choices. Amorphous blob or Vampire. And you still seem to be human-shaped, so I'm going with Vampire.

Jay stared at Ranu, who was bleeding horribly. "Whew, and when I thought that I was over the whole world of cuses and such, here I go agian" she mumbled under her breath.
She turned to Kibo. "And your offer, Admiral, is much appreciated. I do beleive that one ship would do, if it's not too much to ask, sir." Jay had been taught to act respectful to pirates, but stubborn and smart to "nobles" like Beckett, Norrington, or anybody else associated with them.
Jay turned to Storm, who was still sealed in the vacuum. "Nice touch, there, Admiral," she said, then started to yell as loud as she could for Storm to hear, "Call me 'girly' again and worse things will happen!"

Storm smiled her charming smile and literally waved Kibo's bubble away.
"Why, girlie, doest thou think so highly of thyself that thee thinks that thee could take on little ol' me?"
She shook her head.
"I offer her a ship to fly her own colours, you offer her a place in your fleet. So of course she takes the fleet, ignoring the freedom. Typical little girlie."

Storm had to laugh.
"Naive little girls have no place among pirates, dearie. Accept not the offer if you do not know the strings, or with whom you are dealing with. Mister Botch here offers ships to those who would join his fleet. None other. Storm Targeryen, at your service, good lady. It seemed my manners had taken their leave, and I forgot to introduce myself."
She didn't offer her hand and stood shoulder to...well waist with Hantore on the barbaric custom of offering a hand out to shake upon meeting a new soul. Her reasons for not doing so differed sharply with her friend's. It was just so much harder to hide a weapon in the hand when you had to touch your victim with it.

"Indeed, that was a piece of wisdom," Jay replied. "Nothing like my father or brother could have said, and if ye be offering a ship, Miss Targeryen, I do wish to hear more,"
She turned to the Admiral. "Sir, my humblest apologies, but I have no wish to join a fleet, but instead to start one of my own. It's simply in my blood, you see,"
By Davy Jones' Locker, she thought as she finished the sentance. what am I saying? Why am I not being my usual smart-aleck-y self? Dad taught me to be somewhat respectful to pirates, but if the pirates started it first...

Storm dug out a pair of coins from her neck purse. One silve, one gold. She put the silver in the left hand, gold in the other, then held out the closed fists to Jay.
"Pick a hand and you pick your ships. Simple as that. I am in a giving mood, at the moment, girlie. The silver is a gallais by the name of Crow's Eye. T'other is a schooner, just off the Docks. She doesn't have a name, just yet, but I am leaning towards Sea Spirit. Of course, if you pick her, as captain's rights, you get to name her, no matter my prefernce. What say you? Sail under your own colours, by a free ship, a ship of your own choosing, mind you, or join Botch and his not so great host anymore?"
Her offer seemed to good to be true. Just as she had designed it. She is a wicked little devil, at times. Of course, Jay would never find out, just how wicked she could be. Kibo got a taste of it, 'tis true, but just a little taste.

Jay hesitiated for a moment, thinking whether Storm was really about to offer her a ship. She dug around in her mind for a piece of Captain Teague's advice when it came to gambling...
Many a fortune is won and lost at the gambling tables, my girl, Dad had said. Your goal may be to win, but if you loose, you must be willing to accept the consequences.
Jay discovered that a problem now faced her that if she made a choice, she could make it into two problems. If she chose to pick a coin in Storm's hand, she had a chance of not even obtaining a ship at all, considering Jay's brother's words about how a pirate is not to be easily trusted, friendly or not. Particularly if not. Not even to mention the fact that if she decided to pick a coin, she would have to hope for the best when it came to a ship and pray that they were both in good sailing condition.
However, on the other hand, if she decided to steal a ship of her own, that could be even more complicated, even putting her life on the line.
Hmm, my freedom or my life? Jay thought. Hold for a moment, isn't loosing my freedom almost the same as loosing my life? And even if by some slim chance I do get caught stealing a ship, there's another chance that somebody will free me before I reach the gallows...
"Storm, if I may call you that," Jay said at length. "I do not wish to create a war between you and I, however, I do beleive that I am leaning towards stealing a ship myself. I'm in need of the experiance, you see, and though it may sound dangerous for one as young as myself, but someday I will take a place as a Pirate Lord. My father, the Keeper of the Code taught me everyting he knew, but what better way to learn than direct experiance?" Jay stuttered the last few words, and prayed for her life that Storm wouldn't kill her.

Ranu spat out a blob of blood, staring at it. He felt himself shake and nodded. He'd heard of them before, and few were good. He looked up at the others a moment, then muttered, "Thank you." In a tiny voice. He wiped his nose on his sleeve and twitched as it rubbed the broken bone.
"Kibo is an admiral, Miss." Ranu informed the girl whos name he didn't know. "A schooners more traditional of Pirates, but I cannot speak, since my own ship is a 104-gun ship of the line."
Looking blank, he slid back to the door, limping slightly. "I need more air.." He said in a distressed tone. He looked back at them a moment, then left the tavern.

Storm smiled, cheerfuly, but the simple acted completly hide her emotions.
"Clever little girl. Crow's Eye is adrift somehwere in the Atlantic and the schooner has no armmiments, nor sail, nor tact, nor crew for her. But stealing a ship won't get you the 'experience' as you so quaintly call it, that you would need."

Ah, yes. Thank you, Dad! Jay thought with releif. Outside, she simply smiled back to Storm. She calmly put her hands together and nodded, in the fasion of her brother.
Careful, Jay, not a good idea to let yer guard down just yet... she thought to herself, straightening in her seat.

The whiff of Kibo's rum reached Jay's nostrils, causing a slight gag to reach her throat. She showed no reaction on the outside, aside from the involuntary twitching of her nose.
"My...funeral?" Jay simply raised an eyebrow, a line of a smile wiping across her face.
