I can post something a bit more thoughtful now.
I feel EXTREMELY bad for Sasuke. The brother he used to look up to was a lie, and the only reason he was kept alive was so that his eyes could be plucked out once they were worthy enough.
What a family reunion.
I cosplayed a complete PSYCHO.
I have to admit - I was one of those people who always believed Itachi had a hidden agenda, that he wasn't a real bad guy. And I always KNEW there was something else behind the Uchiha massacre - who didn't? But I never expected it to be anything like THIS.
ITACHI WANTS TO PLUCK SASUKE'S EYES. WHAT THE HELL.
He didn't leave Sasuke alive because he LOVED him - he left him alive for his EYES.
Goodbye, Uchihacest in canon! Unless Itachi x Sasuke's Eyes is appealing.

*rubs forehead* Ugh. I am absolutely INFURIATED at Itachi.
To scheme and pull such an act like that just for a brand new set of eyes? What the hell?
My theory was that Itachi was tired of not having a worthy opponent, so he mindraped Sasuke ( rofl ) so that he could be the one to defeat him. (Which isn't too far from canon, I should think.) That was why I had so much faith in Sasuke's victory--other than Sasuke's new abilities, I thought Itachi hadn't it in him to kill his little brother.
But no. Now that Itachi has something major to gain from winning this fight, I'm fretting.
To fool us all into thinking that he had a bit of a soft spot when it turns out that the whole time he was just using Sasuke?
Kishi...what on Earth have you done?

I admit, I have been neglecting my readings to the manga.. Now I am up-to-date and all I have to say is...
WHAT THE HELL ITACHI?
I never liked you very much for doing that traumatic event to Sasuke, but now you say you were just using him? Jesus. I thought you had a heart. I was wrong. crying
You know, it does kinda make since though. Wanting Sasuke to kill his best friend and all. Trying to puppet him into his web of lies just to get Sasuke's beautiful onyx eyes...
On that one page, Itachi looked really, really scary. D: I feel so sorry for Sasuke though..
I thought it would play out like this: Sasuke pins Itachi down with kunais and Itachi tells him he killed the clan just so Sasuke could break the tradition. But noo. It's the opposite. My inner fangirl died.
I don't like you Itachi. Not at all.
