Layla's head would turn, keeping her eyes on the murkrow at all costs. As the bird dove down at her, she raised her paw, wincing as she positioned it. The sun was in her eyes, and it bounced off of the shiny metallic surface of the bump on her paw. Though, if all went well, it'd also be the Murkrow that'd bump off of it.
She dug her back paws into the ground, making sure she was firm. If she got the other female to hit that spot on her paw, then it would also take a great amount of force to push her off. God forbid this didn't work, though, she'd be taking one right to the chest...

Tsuki would keep walking with one companion on his shoulder and the other next to him. Now to train Bane. They had made it half way with little trouble so far. Maybe things were looking uphill for this group. Hopefully.

The light flashed in her face ....as she would screech loudly ....as her wings would open wide. She would break instead of flying forward into an unknown target. The Murkrow would hover there for a moment as she tries to blink the spots from her eyes.
Her attacked had failed, and the girl would whistle a bit in appreciation of what she had done.
"That is a pretty amazing Riolu, but I bet mine will be better."
She would declares as she looks backwards at the male hanging by his tail as she smiles wickedly.
"Let's take a risk here, Murkrow, use peck again ...counter attack style."
The Murkrow would caw once as she tries to strike out ...her eyes still seeing bits of dots in front of her as she tries lash out at what she thought would be the target in front of her.

It wouldn't be far as he would come upon it ...digging digging in the wall ....as the pokemon held a huge sack next to him. He was digging for the precious, for the thing that had made him rusty and creaky. For the thing that his trainer had left him so many years ago to find ....as he drew his blade deep into the rock and would pry and pull the rocks free.
His blade chipped and cracked so that it was no longer whole ....as he did his work.
Trash ...Trash ...all those pretty gems behind him was Trash.
The Pawniard wasn't even paying them any attention as they came upon him the dimly lit room.

"I only pick the best" Ada adjusted her hat, glad that the brim was wide and gave her some shade. Perfect for birdwatching. "A bit repetitive at this point, but meet that peck with a Quick-Attack!" if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Layla was right on it, running forwards with such speed you could have almost sworn she had disappeared at some point. she would make a slight "humph" sound as she suddenly stopped, her legs going down before she sprung up, as if on a spring. The added force of the speed she had prior, coupled with the fact that she was very light, would be enough to bring her up higher than she normally would have gone. Hopefully high enough to meet the Murkrow halfway, as the small fighting type began bringing her left foot forwards for a kick.

It would happen then as the bird was hit full force ...as it's beak was shoved so hard by the quick attack that it would break and her neck would snap so painfully to the side that the spine would break from the strain. It would fall into a bloody messy heap on the ground, but the girl didn't seem in the least concern as she watches the pokemon's body shift and start to glow.
"I be ....this is the second one."
She would spat the words angrily.
"When you are on a team, certain abilities are unlocked ...as you can see the first one ...is quite simply that a dead pokemon doesn't equal a dead pokemon."
The girl was explaining as she went to pick up the once Murkrow ..now egg, and would place it in the satchet on her back as those it was nothing. She wasn't done yet, not by a long shot as she smiles at the girl.
"Shall we continue?"
She would asks as she open a new pokeball to reveal the next one to fight. This one would be a flush of tails and beautiful blue eyes as she looked at her opponent and smiled.
A Vulpix this time would be the second contender.
"And I think .....I need you a bit closer this time."
She motion to the boy with the Riolu as he moved towards her.
"The other ability didn't unlock last time," and she would look and wink at the girl as something strange happen not only to the Vulpix on the field, but to her own Riolu as well ....as the pokemon would gain it's dream ability.
She would smile only once as her entire body went white hot and the sky would suddenly seem to become clearer ..the sky bluer and the sun more intense as her move came into play.
This would be fun.

Layla looked at the egg, unwavered by the sight. Her only response was to put both her paws together, taking a sagely bow. "> Forgive me <" the only words she had, and she stood upright once more, walking over to Ada's side.
Ada grinned, content that it wasn't the end for the Murkrow. When she saw the Vulpix, though, she couldn't help but smirk. "Hadn't had enough knuckle sandwiches yet, huh?" Carefully, she'd remove the gold pokeball from the hilt of the blade it was in using her mouth and left hand. She's then toss it down to Layla, the riolu understanding that she was unable to open it herself and catching it firmly within both paws. She stared at it before pushing on the center, a bright light shooting out as it took the shape of a growlithe.
"> Alright, bring it! <" the eager mutt looked at the Vulpix, tail wagging enthusiastically. Oh man, it was hot out, it was almost refreshing! The growlithe tipped his head back, letting his hat shift and adjust itself before looking straight at the Vulpix, golden eyes shimmering with excitement. He love performing! He'd show just how spectacular he was!
"mmm...Growlithe and Vulpix. Assumed conuterparts of eachother...fox and hound, cop and robber. This'll be an interesting battle..." the magician mused to herself. She could tell the vulpix was stronger, but she was sure Impromptu would pull through...especially with this interesting ability gain. "Start it off for me then, Bite!"
Impromptu darted forwards, opening his mouth up wide and letting his tongue loll out to the side. The tongue was the least of their troubles, however - it was those pearly white canines that they should all be worried about!

The Vulpix would laugh lightly as she felt her own strength in the face of this male ....even as he came at her with a bite, she wouldn't flinch one muscles as she looks him in the eyes. She would allow her own power to swirl around her ....as she focus on one thing and one thing only ...making him feel sleepy.
(Oh take a chill pill mutt)
She would declares with a slight laugh on the tip of her tongue as she looked to avoid those clamping jaws and teeth. She didn't want her fur to be ruffled in the least by his attack ...as she moved her body and tails in such a way as to give off a type of coy appearance. Though this vixen was anything but.

Vulpix HP: 14Impromptu's determination would pull through, and the Vulpix's overly cocky attitude would land her in a tight spot. Impromptu sank his fangs into her shoulder, biting down hard. Unlike he should have, however, he didn't let go, keeping a firm grip on the Vulpix.
"don't let go! Sink in further!" Ada encouraged. Impromptu had a look of steadfast determination, going along with the counter as he kept using Bite. Now that he had an opening, theres no way that he'd give it up!

It would work as she feel a thread of pain through her as those teeth would close in on her. She would wince, hard ....as she tries to keep herself from shivering at the bite ...it was deep and it seemed that the dog wasn't done as this time she tries to defend. She tries to hunker down and twist and pull as she would attempt to leave his mouth full of fur and her off the hook.
She can't believe she allowed herself to get bitten by a dog ....she shivered despite herself at the thought.

Vulpix HP: 12Her moving wouldn't shake him off, but it did prevent him from sinking in too far, doing little to no damage. Frustrated, he focused all his strength into his jaws, planting his back legs firmly into the ground. He could feel the Vulpix's blood dripping into his mouth, it was hot like a coal spark. It would only serve as fuel for his drive to win, and he refused to let go of her.
Power, he had power, and he'd show it with his Bite. The growlithe tried even harder still to force his teeth in, teeth brushed so carefully and maintained so well only to be stained now. Yes, he'd already dirtied them, might as well let them get even dirtier while he was at it.

(Wow, your rolls are deadly right now)
She felt the fur tear away and take bits of her own flesh with it. Not as deep as she took a few steps backwards as she shook herself all over. Her feet would touch on the ground lightly as her ears went flat against her skull and she flick all of her tails at once as the blood pooled from her flank. She looked downwards at her own pain at her own blood and felt a rage rise up in her ....as she would try to figure out someway to deal with this mess that she had gotten herself into ...that her trainer had gotten her into ....as she growled lowly. She hated this ...she hated every inch of this, she didn't lose ...this wasn't the way things went, and she looked over the calmness of her trainer.
She knew she was just foliage for the last pokemon ...her ace, and her fur frizzled all the way at that thought alone.
"Wow, your pokemon are showing off their strength."
She would tell them with a really big smirk on her face. Her Vulpix would turned to face that Growlithe as he counter-attacked this time ..her entire aura would seemed to curl with the force of her anger as she glowed black ...as she changed her strategy as she though only of payback at that moment.
"Use Hypnosis."
The girl would call snapping her rage in half and making her change her tactics all together. She would shift from a aura of pure hatred to that of calmness in the flick of an eye, and she would try and seem to shy away from the attack even as she tries to make the pokemon fall under her trance.
Oh how she hoped it would work this time.

[[ Ah, right when you said deadly... ]] ( 19 - 1 ) + ( 11 - 11 ) = 18 x 2 (failed counter) = -36
Vulpix HP: -24"They don't hold back if they don't have to..."
Ada trailed off, watching Impromptu dig into the vulpix...literally. Oh no, not...not again. She hadn't wanted it to turn out like this for Impromptu, but she supposed she couldn't shelter him forever. It wasn't the first time it happened to him, of course, but it was certainly the first time he would notice. Now was as good a time as ever.
Impromptu would feel his jaw meet back up, his bottom teeth touching his top as he tumbled back abit before regaining control of himself, halting. He wouldn't realize the full consequence of his actions until he saw it for himself, the first sign being when he realized there was something in his mouth.
It was a clump of fur and flesh torn off from the females shoulder.
His jaw would go slack, the meat falling onto the ground in front of him. Blood decorated his fur and his face, and he dared not look at the body in front of him, choosing to panic instead. He began to back up with haste, turning around and running full speed towards Ada. Once he was at her feet he'd take slow, steady breaths, feeling comforted just by being there.
A white light would surround him, and he'd be sucked into the his ball, Layla still holding it gently within her hands. A small rest, that's all he'd need now, of course. Some time to clear his mind and think.
Ada grit her teeth, horrible. "Gonna throw in the towel yet?" She asked, unsure how much longer she herself could go.
How many lives did she have to give to save a single one?

(Pops on the head lightly ...not a failed counter attack on my end ...it's a counter-attack on your end. She flinched, the last turn, which meant ...that it was her attack turn.The dmg is 18, thus Hp: -7 ...though it was close.)
Though her chest would rise and fall ...she had simply fainted from her wounds as the girl would call her pokemon back and then smirk darkly.
"Well now it's time for the big boy, and I have gotten the chance to see what two you are using." "So, I hope your third one you kept in reserves if a fighter, because, this last one is going to make this fun for us."
She would declares as she recalled her Vulpix back into her pokeball.
The boy would smirk lightly.
"Remember, to keep it to a minimal."
The boy would taunt as the girl would it then. She would release the last of the three, a Sawk.
The pokemon would land with a thud as he threw up his arms and flex his muscles. Yes, this was going to be quite interesting.

(( emotion_kirakira )) Infinem would soon take a liking to the Pawniard. He seemed determined and a fighter. Not in strength butbim endurance. The Mankey would jump off his trainers shoulder and would walk to him. "Hey there. Need some help?" the fighting type asked, keeping a soft tone to not catch him off guard. Luckily only Embitter smelled of death, but she was in her Pokeball, as well as being a ghost. Those went hand in hand.
