Sonyo took a moment to look through the scroll again to see what the next stage had in store. Once she memorized the moves, she moved back over to the dummy. The next move was kind of a handstand whirl-kick? With a deep breath in, Sonyo moved so that she was in lean back position, as if she was ducking. She then pushed with her legs, propelling herself backwards in to the handstand mentioned in the scroll. She stood in this hand stand position for a few moments before shifting her weight around and spinning, creating the whirling kick she was looking for. This would create a move that would make it hard for anyone to get close without getting kicked in the face.

The next move was devastating to say the least, it created a motion that would tear and render the flesh of anyone that got in the way. Sonyo lowered herself, her knees bent, her arms outstretched; as if she had just dodged downwards out of the way of a blade. The then sprung in to the air, a spin added to her flight. The young female let her arms outstretch as she made a graceful arc, tearing up a dummy in her wake. With a flip at the end of her flight path, Sonyo landed back on her feet and surveyed the dummy. Yeah, yeah that would do it.

It took a few moments for Sonyo to wrap her mind around the next move, as it seemed somewhat complex. After a few moments of studying the descriptions and tips, she placed the scroll back down and moved away from it in order not to damage it. With a slight hop, Sonyo flipped herself over on to her hands. From there she stood for a few moments in a handstand before bringing herself down in to the form needed, her back arched. She then use the chakra she had began to build up in her arms to spin, sending dust everywhere. Sonyo coughed and straightened up, dusting herself off.

Elegance was the name of the next move, and like some of the others in the previous style it required chakra. Sonyo took a deep breath, then exhaled, and as she exhaled she imaged a blanket slowly rolling out on the floor. She felt her chakra reach out, touching the scroll and the dummy and even the walls near her. This was a useful move, and somewhat enjoyable. To make sure that she was truly sensing what was on the other end of her chakra, the woman closed her eyes. The techinque was indeed working, and she could sense everything up to where the chakra ended.

Sonyo got in the proper position for the next move, taking a moment to think through the steps in her mind. She then began moving, sidestepping the dummy and bringing her fan up, causing a whirlwind of air and shredding the side of it. The cuts weren't deep enough, however, for Sonyo's tastes. She began preforming the move over and over, adding a bit of chakra each time to the sidestep in till she got the damage she was looking for. She dusted up the pieces of dummy everywhere before continuing.

Sonyo began to feel a bit drained, and thought there would be nothing better than to go and relax along the trees. Sonyo slipped back on her shoes and cowl before making her way out of the dojo and towards the rainforest.

Ushering in the new marrow Kyomei made her way to the Dojo. She may have been petite in her own respects but the statement small but mighty was one she held dear. Self defense was among the many things she had been taught at her temple and she figured she'd need to use it rather than lose it. Repetition of already practiced moves were commonplace. Those who practiced the Wu-wei rarely sought combat to begin with. Kyomei would wield her Sakujo and plant her feet accordingly as per the tutelage of her father. [Bachibiggrinivine Punishment E 1/1]
Kyomei would then swing her Shakujo in a manner that it would circle over her diminutive head. Each of the rings followed suit with each other following the momentum of the swing. Kyomei would then bring down her Shakujo with a fierce plantation of it's end landing on the hard ground. Each ring would then echo loudly in a cacophony of sudden sound to instigate a sense of dread and terror. It would have been brief but this technique proved incredibly handy when trying to gain some breathing room. [Oharai: Exorcism E 1/1]
These movements alone were enough to tire her out. She'd need to do something to hone her body and skills for the future. It was either this or she was quite simply too lazy to want to practice any more self defence techniques. Honestly, that was undoubtedly the reason why she stopped. Instead she decided to replace these feats of heavy Shakujo swinging by drawing two paper dolls. She'd throw them with such precision they'd embed themselves into the ground as if their edges were actually sharper than blades. [Honshi Art: Pair 1/1]
When that was all said and done the girl then raised her hand and began chanting ominously. Instead of hand signs these techniques seemed to require some mystical equivalent. By these techniques of course it was referring to techniques that Kyomei herself had developed. When the chanting finished both the paper dolls began to quiver wildly. Shortly after a puff of smoke filled where they once were and in their place were two giant sized paper dolls.
The paper dolls at first locked arms to form an archway. If there were two more perhaps they would have been able to form a dome. Kyomei however took towards the archway she had produced and sat under it crossing her legs in the process. Forming a sign with her hands raised with two fingers another puff of smoke and the two paper dolls began to float weightlessly down back and forth. Kyomei would catch the paper doll on their descent and tuck them away with the rest. More or less this was just her making sure she was still capable of performing this feat. Truthfully Kyomei was combating her slowly encroaching boredom. Thinking back she should have just stayed at the academy. As such she stood and clopped back -exit. ►8 Ring Shattering: Rank: X Description: The Keihatsu's rings can separate themselves from the the staff they are attached to, they then grow up to an incredible size. Ranging up to Eight feet in diameter. The rings can be freely controlled by the wielder using the staff as a conduit to direct them. (5-Chakra Per Ring. A Total of 40 Chakra For 8: Rings must be sustained whilst in flight.) The rings are then often intended to place a target in their vacant center and contract immediately to restrict the target. If any of the rings are broken the remains turn into a ball of spiritual light and return to the staff as a normal sized ring and is placed in a temporary recovery period (1 Post). A unfathomably powerful blast that could decimate an entire village if fired downward from the sky shoots forward. However, the beam inflicts no harm to anyone or any structure...unless it is a strange creature, impure of heart, tainted by evil, or wishes to do harm. The technique essentially, even then, does no damage, instead, it places a feeling of tranquility on all evil or violent intentions shutting them away briefly and crossing over any wayward spirits. The option for this technique to cause mass amounts of damage and destruction is possible but is considered Taboo in all accounts and doing so would destroy the weapon and make it's wielder unfit to ever wield another Keihatsu ever again. Even then, such is only achievable by tampering with the chanters rings discreetly carving [Shi] [Death] on each ring. Which no wielder could do themselves as it would make them unfit to wield the Keihatsu. This was only discovered when a former Keihatsu user asking for purity [Shin] to be engraved on the weapon by a blacksmith was accidently replaced with [Shi] the result was labeled in history as [The Black Tragedy]. While it's mark in history was minimal and the small settlement lost wasn't noteworthy the Keihatsu's capability of destruction was discovered that day and only the most heavily versed scholars are aware of it as even many who've unlocked the Keihatsu's abilities are unaware of this. Unfortunately devout historian's because of this are incredibly suspicious of all wielders of the Keihatsu.

Bast wandered into the training grounds and used Gunsei to create a faceless sparring partner. Mononoke showed up not too long thereafter carrying a couple of hefty scrolls. After perusing the first one, Bast put on her as yet unused cestus set, activated Yuishiki, and set up across from her sparring partner. She heeded the scroll's words and struck the moving dummy in a myriad of different ways, quickly growing accustomed to the feedback.
Much to her elation, she found Yuishiki helped her focus on the movements of her body better. Each punch and kick came as easily as learning Ninjutsu, almost as if her mind had been rewired from the ground up for martial arts. Just to test her theory, she planted her feet and swung as instructed in the manual for the Rejection Strike, easily blowing her sparring partner away.

After a short break to read further into the scroll, Bast created another sparring partner to replace her first one and had it take a defensive stance. This next strike was known for its capacity to break defenses and launch foes, so she positioned herself and the training golem such that she would be hitting it away from anything vital to the building. Then, all at once, her fist plowed into its guard then shattered the dummy, the resulting debris bursting out a significant distance from the point of her strike.
The next technique was one that could be used on multiple attackers, or at least one that required them. She created two training golems and had them stand a short distance apart, told one to dodge when she struck at it, then did so. When it dodged as instructed, she quickly spun in place to strike the other one, cracking it.
The next bit of required training would have her hone her Chakra pathways while in combat, but since there likely weren't any willing sparring partners in the village, the training golems would have to do. She instructed them to fight her, then focused on dodging their blows while controlling her Chakra flow. After about a minute of dodging punch after punch, kick after kick, she started to feel the eyes of the dummies on her, empty though they may be; all at once, she ducked under their attacks and turned them back to dust with a punch to the gut each.
Once again, through her own ferocity, Bast found herself wanting for a sparring partner. For the next one, she put a bit of extra effort into it and made it sturdier than the others. Before she gave it any orders, she laid a hand on it and created a mark out of her Chakra.
With her target marked, she ordered it to run from her for a few seconds. This next technique seemed simple enough in principle: it was a position anchoring technique that would keep the user within a certain distance of the marked target. In practice, she had a bit of trouble not tripping over herself, but eventually realized that her thoughts had become muddled and the p***k of pain from Yuishiki had subsided, so she reapplied it and learned Hyouryuu [ Drift ] pretty much immediately thereafter.
The next technique was designed to shatter things at the point of impact, but that would be difficult to judge using golems if they just shattered anyway when she hit them really hard, and she didn't want to mess up her new one just yet. Shooing her training golem away a few feet, she assumed a wide stance and plowed her fist into the ground, which shattered. This whole thing was getting rather predictable, but the woman's mind was sharp and ready to learn, so she didn't care too much.

"Alright, let's get this over with," Bast muttered to herself. She directed the training golem into position and put her dukes up. What followed were three heavy blows to the poor golem's torso, leaving it severely cracked all across its torso.
The next technique required a sparring partner who could knead Chakra, so Bast repaired her golem and had it stand aside while she practiced with a clone. She had the clone first start using a technique, then smacked the Chakra right out of it with a heavy punch. In the moment before the clone dispersed, it looked bewildered.
The next technique was closer to what she was used to doing, but she kept up the Yuishiki regardless. Turning to her sparring golem, she charged up Chakra in her fist and lashed out, sending a wave of energy toward it. The golem buckled over involuntarily at the impact, then picked itself up.
Bast met the golem with a gentle love tap to the side of the head. It didn't seem to respond much. She tried again harder and succeeded in knocking it over, then perused the scroll for the next technique.
Toushi [ Will to Fight ] was different from anything she'd tried before, but the woman understood the principle behind it well. She marked her golem, then used that marking to bolster its movements to match her own. As soon as she was satisfied the technique had worked, she looked into the scroll for the next technique.
Zenmenhitei [ Complete Denial ] was much more her speed. She created a clone and had it create a Chakra Monster armor around itself. With a swift uppercut to the clone's armored jaw, she not only shattered the armor but dispersed its wearer as well.
It was time for the Style's capstone, just as the benefits from Yuishiki were fading. She flooded her body with Chakra, fortifying it down to her bones. The golem faced her with the intent of sparring, but one blow returned it to dust. Now finished with her training in Nigirikobushi no Shintou, Bast sat back, had a swig of tea, and had Mononoke return the scroll to the library.

Post 1/1 for Fuuin no Kagi [ Key to the Seal ]
Having gone through an entire physical style, Bast popped another pill and sat down to draw out the key to Choumei's seal. She knew intimately what would be necessary for it, having herself made the seal, so she summoned a scroll, brush, and ink, and began to scrawl the key. In a few moments she was done, at which point she let the scroll air out to dry and reverse-summoned the brush and ink back to her estate.
As soon as the ink was dry, the woman stood, grabbed it, and started to head out into the Village. In the meantime, Mononoke would return the remaining training scroll to the library to keep things from going missing

«W»hen Saqr left the immobilizing sands outside and stepped into the large dome which consisted of a training grounds and a dojo, he was shocked. A low whistle escaped his lips as he took in the large amounts of sand near the center, and the many trees around the outside edge. And were those trees growing in soil? He bent down on one knee to examine and found that they were. How interesting in an environment super saturated in sand! Standing back up, he scanned the room until he found what he was looking for. A particularly flat spot near the rim where there were trees around, but without roots that jutted from the soft soil. He made his way over, unrolling and reading the scroll as he did so.
It wasn't that complicated and he knew a lot of the basics that were outlined from working with leather gloves his entire life. He was still wearing the pair of spiked gloves, which were exactly what this style prioritized. After deciding that he needed the basics before working on any skills, he pocketed the scroll after rolling it back up and began focusing on formulating a plan. He closed his eyes and stood still to concentrate.

Saqr opened his eyes with a plan in his mind and stepped forward towards the trees. The first step of the operation was to see exactly how much he could take, as well as to find out what he already knew. Almost casually, he raised his right hand and sent it careening into the tree in front of him, forming a fist that finalized at the very lest second. It wasn't a loud sound, but a solid thump echoed through the seemingly empty room. The hand recoiled quickly and Saqr dropped into a more traditional stance before sending out both fists, first the right and then the left, in a one-two motion. They landed solidly on the tree, most of the impact being absorbed by the gloves he wore, but a small shock still rising up his arm from the impact.
"One more," he spoke to himself in his deep and cold voice. He stepped forward once more to be as close as possible and at the same time, drove his right first into the tree. The shock on his arm was immediate and more painful that he had expected. At least he knew where the power limit should be when hitting solid objects. Drawing his hand back, he noticed he had cracked the bark of the tree. Nodding to himself, he took a few steps back and reached into his pocket to remove the scroll.
«T»he scroll came easily from his pocket and he sat on the dirt, beneath the tree with the slight crack in the bark. The scroll in his hands held a treasure trove of knowledge that revolved around the Nigirikobushi no Shintou style. With at least a partial understanding of the basics, Saqr thought it was time to learn his first technique. His eyes scanned the scroll until they fell upon what he was looking for in the sea of knowledge.
"Sokyaku Ouda", he whispered to himself as he reviewed the technique. It was interesting and extremely variable, the results completely relying on the force used to power the strike. He'd just need to get the specifics down before trying to increase the strength. Standing back up, he walked over a few feet to a new tree. These tall, slender, beauties weren't common in Suna and he didn't want to be the cause for the destruction of such natural wonder.

Saqr pulled on the edge of the leather he wore on both hands, securing them tightly over his knuckles. This technique required more than just the physical strength of his arms and chest; it was a full body function with great power. So, after making sure he was fully stretched after the last batch, he let loose a strike that landed hard against the tree. It didn't cause any physical damage, though, which brought on mixed feeling. Happy to have not hurt the tree, but upset that the strike was so useless. Even the earlier strike had caused damage!
He tried again a few more times before stopping, realizing it wasn't working. He stepped back, closed his eyes, and started analyzing the situation at hand. He knew it was a full body motion and he believed he was using the entire strength in his body to strike, but maybe that wasn't it. An idea crossed his mind and he smiled. Opening his eyes, he took a step back with his left foot, leaving him in a right-forward stance.
"Strike!" he bellowed at the top of the his lungs. At the same time, he corkscrewed his body opposite of the strike. When his first came close to the target he reversed the corkscrew and let all the energy he created out through his fist. He was rewarded with a solid thump, the sense of pressure up his arm, and a larger crack in this tree than what he'd done to the earlier one. He smiled, but it was hidden by the cloth that covered his face and head. Just to make sure, he struck the tree twice more, deepening the scar.
So far, the training was going well and he didn't even feel all that tired. He sat back down while removing the scroll once more to take another look at what would come next.

«A»fter looking over the scroll a few more times, Saqr sighed to himself and slipped it back into his pocket for safe keeping. Although he definitely could keep training this style, he didn't want to wear himself out. He felt a rounded structure of learning was the best bet, instead of piling all his eggs into one basket. So, grudglingly, he stood and made his way back towards the Exit and Entrance of the large dome.
He was near the outside so it didn't take long. Before stepping back into the cold sands towards the Library, he made sure to check all of his clothes, ensuring they were in place to keep the sand away. He left on his Clawed Cestus as well. Although their black leather stood out starkly again the all blue of his clothes, they looked like modified work gloves more than anything else. He wasn't worried about being stopped. After confirming his attire was good to go, he stepped into the night and immediately felt the pull of sand against his face; the only visible portion of skin he had remaining.

«S»aqr shook the sand from his shoulders in a useless attempt to stay clean. Stepping onto the dirt and tree ringed outside of the dome that served as the training grounds, he reached into his pocket and removed the first scroll at random. He revealed it and read the inside label.
He nodded and continued unrolling the scroll, raring to get the next level of training for his new Bukijutsu style. It would be hard work and when it came down to it, he really was just conditioning himself and focusing on hard strikes. Saqr rolled the scroll back up and placed it beside a tree. He removed the other three scrolls and set them in a pile to the right. For later.
{ Begin Training Hanchou 1/1}
The next paving stone along the path of Nigirikobushi no Shintou was known as Hanchou. The gist of the technique revolved using all the force polishing techniques learned up to this point to punch a literal hole through the defense of an opponent. Saqr didn't think it would be too difficult and rolled up the sleeves of his robe. He approached the nearest tree and stretched gently before dropping into a striking position. With his spiked gloves still on his hands, he struck out and attempted the breach the tree.
His fists struck twice, but only resulted in the smallest of cracks in the bark. He swiveled to his left ot give himself a new target on the tree and struck again. This time, his left hand shot out alone and punctured the bark of the tree deeper. Leather met bark and depressed, leaving more of a depression instead of the usual cracks. He smiled, before turning once more to a new place on the tree. This last strike should do it.
He brought his right hand back this time and swayed with his entire body. He brought his fist out upside down and, at the last second, brought it around to add a swirling snap. It was just what was needed and when the leather glove connected with the bark of the tree, it shattered inward. Splinters flew and when he removed his hand, a hole was left where his entire fist entered the tree. He felt remorse for the life he had just taken, but appreciated the sacrifice just made for the sake of his training.
Pulling the gloves back into place snugly, Saqr waked back to the pile of scrolls and picked up the one he was just reading from.

«S»weat made it's way down Saqr's face as he rolled out the scroll to reveal the next technique he'd be training for. After his eyes scanned the text and he took in what it was, he laughed. He could see himself now windmilling around with his arms stretched out far, then only a child of five, pretending to be a dist devil tearing across the sand. The memory came fast and hard and left an odd taste in his mouth. Saqr spat onto the ground and shook his head visibly, clearing his thoughts.

"Okay..." he murmured. He wasn't sure how best to address the fact that he needed an assailant. But before he could give it much thought, he laughed again, this time more bitterly. He didn't really need someone to actually dodge his attack, he just needed to miss. So, moving up to the same tree in hopes of causing the least amount of damage, Saqr dropped into a fighting stance.
He made the first punch and purposely sent it off kilter slightly. It grazed the trunk and ultimately went wide. Just as it was passing and coming around, Saqr attempted to spin. The spin worked well but when he struck out with the punch, it felt lackluster and useless. It made contact with the tree, but didn't leave any effects that could be seen with the eyes. He shrugged before resetting and trying again.
This time, he punch went wide and the spin failed. He fell on his rump in the dirt, tripping over a root trailing from a tree to his right. Cursing, he stood back up and threw a punch at almost full strength at the tree. It went wide perfectly and this time, he executed the spin flawlessly. Instead of striking the original zone, he brought his fist around and struck a low point, which would be the groin on most people. The tree cracked loudly and a smile, hidden by the blue around his head, was brought to his face.
He jumped back and surveyed the mark he'd left. It wasn't too much, but a mark at all was better than before. He nodded to himself and walked back over to the pile of scrolls. This time, he drew from the three scrolls set off from the original one he was reading.

«T»he new scroll that Saqr picked up was for his next favorite style, Pai Qua Quan. He took his time reading the history and over the basics, noticing the differences between this new style and the one he was just training. He decided that despite their differences, he could make it work to his advantage. Leaving the gloves on, he moved back out to the tree he'd been beating up. He'd get the poor tree's lunch money here soon if he wasn't careful.
{ Begin Training Seiryu Kasho 1/1 }
The technique required to be standing with your back facing an opponent, which was something that Saqr hoped would never happen. That being said, he knew his own strengths and weaknesses and could see the possibility of someone coming up behind him in the field. So, he set his back to the tree and tried to focus his mind. Still wearing the leather gloves, he spun on one foot while dropping his hands. He tried to bring them around to strike the tree, but stumbled while turning to face the right direction. His hands flapped weakly on the bark, leaving him standing feeling defeated.
He stepped up to the tree, turned his back, and tried again. This time he got his arm caught on the way down and had to restart his position almost instantly. On the third try, it seemed to go well. Until his arms came up and missed the trunk completely. He was so focused on his spin that he hadn't properly picked out the target of his strikes.
He sighed and stood with his back to the tree one more time. He span with all his might and dropped his arms. Rounding from the spin, he brought his arms up and used both of his open palms to strike the tree. He locked his fingers outward at the same time and the spikes at the end of his gloves raked the tree decisively. They left ten marks which would have been dreadful if his opponent wasn't made of thick wood and bark. He blew on the gloves dramatically, as if removing wood shavings, which weren't there. Then he moved back to the pile of scrolls to examine the next technique in the style, feeling satisfied.

«H»aving already read most of the info in the scroll earlier, it didn't take long for Saqr to skim through what was left in the first scroll of the style. The next thing on his list of things to do was Bokuho. It wasn't really an attack, more of a stance. He thought it would be one of the most simple moves yet and went into the training feeling confident.
{Begin Training Bokuho 1/1 }
The images in the scroll had shown a young shinobi standing on one leg with his entire body at the ready. He could remember distinctly the position the hands and legs had stood in, looking fluid and less rigid than he himself had ever been. Saqr tried to copy the position and raised his left leg into the air. It was hard to make himself so relaxed and after holding the form for about fifteen seconds, he dropped it, dissatisfied.
He decided to do a set of jumping jacks to stretch himself out. After getting his muscles and blood going again, he dropped back into the stance and raised his leg. He managed to hold the stance longer than last time, but near the end, realized he'd been holding his hands in fists inside of the leather gloves, instead of the open palms. He was supposed to be loose, and cursed himself dropping his arms and legs back down.
He attempted the stance a few more times, becoming looser and looser in his form as he went. In most cases, this wasn't a good thing. But in this particular technique, the loose but ready muscles allowed a slight increase in speed, which he'd duly need with his average skills. On either his fifth or sixth time of holding the form, he felt it was the closest he'd get to the young ninja in the scroll. He felt even sweatier than before, tired, and ready to move on. Walking back over to the scroll and smoothing his robes, Saqr readied himself for the next paving stone along the path of training.
