Shin Okita ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º× Some old wounds never truly heal, and bleed again at the slightest word. ண Okay, so Yué has the coolest eyes, Koail was the one on guitar, Tori with the green eyes next to him, the one in front of me is Eric, and the girl over there with the pink hair is Ophelia. He thought to himself. This sounded easy enough to remember with their completely differing characteristics.
He laughed at Yué and Tori’s joke about the Ophelia. He didn’t think she was that bad, but of course, he had never heard the term "musical kraken" before. First original insult for a musician he had heard in years. She didn't take it too well and seemed to be glaring right at Shin. He didn't even notice the hand on his arm at the time because he wasn't focused on him. Aww man, I didn't want to make enemies today.
Trying to avoid her dirty looks, Shin decided it was time to figure out what instrument he was going to be playing. After all, the blue-haired angel had played most throughout his lifetime. In the list he was given, he chose something he had never played before. Maybe he would even get to do that cliché thing where one of his teachers helps him place his fingers or something. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
“I want to choose the violin. I’ve learned some of the other ones, but this one seems like the most beautiful and fun to play.” He walked up to both Eric and Yué and offered his hand. “It’s nice to meet you both by the way. I didn’t know there’d be so many serious musicians. I like that in a person.” Especially Yue. He grinned.
This was going to be a fun class.

He would've tried killing me and then Tori would be trying to kill everyone albeit not consciously."

His gaze was watching the movement of those on the stage below him while he'd brush his dirty-blonde hair off to the side every once in a while with the hand he wasn't holding the cigarette with. Wrapping an arm around the girl's shoulders, he just seemed to lead her off the stage and towards the exit, her cellphone still in one hand.
xXxXx"Ignore their conversations. Koail and Viaresu are beyond ancient and you'll get a headache listening to them discuss things. Anyhoo, so you opted for the violin... I believe I have an extra on me... Yep. Here you are," Yué sighed softly before shifting his hand slightly just in time to catch a violin case that appeared out of thin air. Smiling a bit kinder than he'd been giving Ophelia since she came around, he held the violin case out to the blue haired male. "Besides, whether one acknowledges it or not, music was originally a very serious art. It expresses what cannot be spoken with mere words after all."

She then looked up at Eric and blinked. "B-but... I was looking at pictures of my friends back in Hungary!" she protested. "I haven't even had an opportunity to take pictures of you and your brothers. And besides, I can't figure out the camera app thingy."
All initial offense disappeared, however, when he wrapped an arm around her. With a wild blush on her face, she walked alongside him, barely bothering to reach for her phone anymore. "I-I... It was one of those present-day teenager linguistics he still couldn't quite stand, but he'd get over it with this boy. At becoming unhappy and distressed, for lack of a better word to describe the boy's reaction to the violin, his smile faded and he gently set a hand on the other male's arm. "Are you alright, Monsieur?" he asked gently, his manners from being a prince having kicked into effect. He even shifted his freehand ever so slightly so the stool on the stage would shift it's position nearby just in case the other needed to sit down. This action and hint of worry, however, got a snicker from Tori before being followed by a yawn.

“It’s a long story, but I’m willing to tell you some of it if you’d like. It's not really an uplifting one with a happy ending, though.”

Shin Okita ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º× Some old wounds never truly heal, and bleed again at the slightest word. ண ண ண Where to begin?“I guess we could start with a stupid practical joke, humans, and demons.” He breathed deeply again trying to find his next words and sat in the stool Yué had pulled up a few moments ago. “I was a young kid and I had only just learned that humans and demons didn’t necessarily get along. Well, when people don’t get along, you want to play a prank on the two to get them to laugh together. You want them to stop fighting and just be happy like you were. Except, this prank didn’t work out so well. It was just a switched bag and I—“He had to stop for a second and breathe again. When he regained composure he sighed and thought, Forgive me for what I’m about to tell.He began again. “I just took a bag from one person and switched it with another. Easy to just laugh about and say sorry, right? Well, they didn’t. They called their parents over and I knew I had to apologize, so I called mine as well. Except, when they got there, the conversation started to get bad. Like, infuriated insults bad. My parents tried to stop the fight, but only got into it themselves.” He laughed solemnly to himself. “Did you know demons are notorious for using deathly powers if endangered? Because I learned that day. Two families gone and I live. I didn't even apologize. What a joke, huh?”He looked down and noticed he was shaking and that his voice must have been as well. He didn’t know if he even had a right to be scared or sad about this anymore seeing as he was the cause. It never should have happened.

☆ XXєтєяηαℓ ℓιғєXX xXxXxFeeling his eye twitch slightly and his muscles tense ever so slightly at the first words past the blue haired male's lips, the silvery haired phantom could already tell this stories general ending before it was even spoken. This boy was a human, wasn't he? He hadn't bothered playing with his genetic make-up to figure out what his species was as of yet and he wasn't sure why. Shaking off the thought, he listened as Shin continued explaining the story that had obviously taken place in his past. As the story continued and rhetorical questions were asked, Yué's muscles just kept tensing to the point that he was in a rigid crouch in front of the boy.
xXxXxAs the story came to a close, Yué opened his mouth only to be interrupted by a cheerful hum, a snort and a bored monotonous tone stating ever so bluntly, "How stupid. It must've been one of those towns to the northeast of the northern vampire kingdom seeing as it's full of idiotic demons and naive humans." Yué shot Koail, Torithÿn and Viaresu a sharp glare before reaching out to take one of the boy's hands in his own. Unfortunately, his hand froze a few inches away from the other boy's hand. How was he to answer this? There had to be tact to what he said after all or he'd get insulted or hurt... Or something.
xXxXx"Oui to each of your questions even if they are rhetorical. Humans and demons have limits to interacting with each other. Technically speaking, the proverbial monsters to humans were to avoid unnecessary contact with humans altogether. Having a village much less anything bigger than a small town with them constantly interacting is practically suicide. That's like inviting Van Helsing into Dracula's castle or a succubus into a church; frowned upon. It's not that they couldn't try to coincide, but it's more like they refuse to find any pros to coexistence," the silvery haired phantom started softly while still wondering if he should or shouldn't take his hand. As if finally deciding, he gently slid his hand into the other's hand. "People make mistakes whether they're demon, fae, nephilim, vampire, lycan, serpentine, draconic, ghoul, spirit or human. It is just how we are. We then learn from those mistakes. Those who don't learn from them are doomed to repeat them."
xXxXxTaking in a slow breath, he flashed that gentle smile of his while lightly tapping Shintarou on the chin with his friend. "You saw the pros of coexistence and tried sharing it with others who refused to see. What happened was not your fault, but the naivety of human and demon kin. There are many that refuse to see it and they were merely just that. It takes the wise to see the truth and to be honest, it kind of makes me want to give a sarcastic kind of laugh. Humans wouldn't accept the phantoms as they were too far advanced in mind and body plus the longer lifespan they had. The nephilim claimed their abilities to control every little particle around them was demonic; dark. The demons refused them for they had too kind of intentions behind their actions albeit they called them abysmal demons. Other species merely shrugged them off as they honestly cared less. This ended up with a single neutral population of species who tried to maintain peace between other species while using their science to keep plagues far more dangerous than the Black Plague from spreading and wiping out all other living, including the undead, things. Dangerous but kind. All species are dangerous given the chance, but few understand what true kindness is. Welcome to being the proverbial phantom, Shintarou. I'm Yué, a phantom, a demon, an outcast." And with that he gave him a slight shake of the hand. Once Viaresu jumped down from the catwalk, landing as gracefully as a cat on his feet without a sound, the other three males gave a slight wave as if welcoming the blue haired male into some kind of club.

I'll give a wave, sing my metal and hard rock, headbang, dance like an idiot and eat so much people will wonder if I have a tapeworm, but I'm not going to be chummy with any living person until I get everything settled with my genetic make-up. Besides, we all know how antisocial you are." "I'm not teaching him the violin. I nearly broke a guitar when I was teaching Kasumi to play the guitar considering I can't read much less write a lick of sheet music and she kept trying to push me into using it for her. Electropop by Jupiter Rising, Tori. Viaresu, you sing the girl parts considering you still have your tail and wings which means it's easier for you to tap into your incubus half." "Tch. Fine." As the trio stopped speaking lowly to each other, Viaresu's grey t-shirt shifted into a black leather vest with two slits in the back for where his wings were now stretching at, a long thin black tail flicking behind him, and he shooed Koail over to the keyboard while lighting up another cigarette.
xXxXx"Would you shut the f_ck up?! Jackasses... I apologize for snapping like that." "Viaresu, please answer his b_tchiness." "Oui. Dantes_river I must say, those last couple of paragraphs were cracking me up. Also, I changed my photo. I like it better.  Shin Okita ணண ணணணணணணணணணண The higher I fly, the harder I fall. ணண ணணணணணணணணணண Shin felt somewhat relieved that someone wasn’t telling him that his parents and the human family’s deaths were his fault. He inhaled deep feeling like he could breathe easy again.
But he ceased for a few moments when he heard Yué explain who he was. He had told himself a million times to stay away from demons because of what happened that day. As they say, one bad apple spoils the lot. But now that he was in a room full of them, could he forget? Especially with this person in front of him who could offer so much comfort when others never could?
His question was answered so clearly with the joking tones of each of the seemingly related boys in the room.
“It’s completely fine! Angels are used to demons like you being quite snappy.” He chuckled, feeling a real laugh coming on instead of one of those things he made for himself when he needed to fake it. “But, what did—Viaresu, is it—say?”

At what he chuckled, however, his gentle expression became a bit pissier. The question that followed lessened that pissiness though so he just appeared serious instead. Scratching behind his ear for a moment, he tried thinking of a way to avoid the question only to give a soft sigh of surrender a few seconds later.
xXxXx"I'm a phantom, not a demon. Sure, demons gave us a label as one of their kin, but that doesn't make us demonic. We're just more advanced humans. Get it right," he corrected calmly at first before standing up to stretch his legs. "Viaresu said yeah to Tori before continuing on to say they'd be quiet as soon as I stopped being a...pussycat minus the cat. Koail said that crossed boundaries and so Viaresu called him a wuss, which he argues he isn't. Viaresu disagrees, as is his nature, to which Tori stated it was unimportant, asked to continue what they were doing and told me to relax before I started getting pissed at that halfbred incubus and started breaking down the room to the point of being nonexistant to the eye. For once, I'll do as the little bastardi said for I don't feel like trying to tear Viaresu apart before he can kill me... So yeah..."
xXxXx"I would've just put you into a light coma seeing as you've actually detached yourself from Eric's hip for once. It's a major shocker seeing you actually have a soft side too. You hate your younger to death, can't stand the idea of losing the older brother and yet you just meet a guy who has a slight breakdown over something stupid that happened in the past after you gave him a violin and suddenly you're a saint? There's something seriously messed up in that head of yours. And you are a p***ycat. Instead of punching someone in the face much less insulting someone to their face, you throw your 'punches' from a distance. That's cowardly. And you, Koail, are indeed a wuss. One woman from your past controls you like a whipped dog," Viaresu exhaled from where he stood, the smoke from his cigarette leaving from the corner of his mouth. "So sorry I'm better at long-distance fighting than close-quarters. It's not like I have monstrous strength like Tori and have panic attacks that tear anything around me apart when there's an enemy up in my face unlike Eric's cool, calm demeanor. As for my words, people deliberately turn their backs on me when I happen to speak so technically speaking, they put the distance up." "And no she doesn't control me. She just makes things difficult by constantly stalking me and using my medical issue to her advantage. It's pretty easy manipulating her to doing what I ask though." "Bull on both of you. Hm? Well, lookit that. Tori's fallen asleep standing up again. No wonder he wanted to jump into the song. Koail, go lay him down somewhere more comfortable instead of standing. This is why I hate babysitting kids. They think they know something when they don't and when corrected, they deny it until they learn it themselves. Koail, you're older than me and you still refuse to admit things to yourself. It's sad really. And no worries, Blue, I already know I'm meant for Hell. It comes with being half demon, half vampire; damned on both sides. This day seriously sucks some major arse."
xXxXxShaking his head slightly, Yué briefly flicked Viaresu off before shifting his gaze back to Shintarou. "Ignore him. He's a very negative guy overall. Koail and Eric agree that it's because he knows too much and he is actually expressing how much he hates himself," he sighed lightly while giving Shin's hand a gentle squeeze before releasing it. Why was he being so nice to and defensive over this blue haired angelic being? And then there was his nerves making him feel all jittery around him. What was wrong with him?

Ahh, I really need to watch what I say around this guy. He could really tear me to pieces, he thought. Listening to the bickering of the phantoms made Shin giggle the whole way through—even when they did insult his story. The only time he stopped was when Yué squeezed his hand. Shin looked into the eyes of the silver-haired boy—no, man—in front of him. He could really get used to seeing that view. When he noticed he was staring, he decided to say something to save face. “Umm, so would you like to continue the lesson, or would you like to do something else? I mean, we don’t have to do anything if that’s what you want…” He was stumbling over his words and couldn’t breathe again. I guess he really is that cute. He’s got me asking him out while screwing up my words.
