 Zane arrived with Kana and looked to this familiar woman. "Kana's mother... You are here for the ritual, no doubt?"

Kana appeared coming from the forest and greeted her mother with a bow. "Mother, I have come. My mate was worried and wished to join us and observe the transformation." Kana's mother nodded and turned starting to walk away amd Kana scurried after her.

Kana mother brought them into a large chamber in the palace. It glow mystical energy and radiated power. She led Kana over to the center on a complicated circle on the floor and Kana got on her knees. Kana's mother then walked over to the wall picking a long slender sword.

Zane cringed. "You're going to stab her?! Kana told me she had to die, but this... Will you be ok, Kana?" Zane looked to her, fear in his eyes.

Kana looked at Zane sweetly a little scared herself, she had never done this before. "I'll be okay sweetie...please don't be frightened...my mother is an expert at this and has been doing it for village females for a very long time, Plus my mother is good with a sword..I won't feel the pain for long..." Kana closed her eyes and looked down preparing for the death blow.

Zane looked to her mother, hoping for more reassurance. "You promise she'll be ok?"

"Of cousre, Kana is my only child and my pride and joy. I would not allow any harm to come to her." Kana's mother said promptly. She then took a quick step and swung the sword so fast it was a blur. A loud crack was then heard and Kana fell limp onto the ground a trail of blood coming from her head, mouth, and nose.

Zane's eyes quickly watered. "Kana!" Zane ran to his departed wife and held her. He looked to her mother. "Well...bring her back!"

Kana's mother raised her hand and Kana's soul was ripped from her body. It hovered and glowled and Kana's mother put it in a glass ball. She then started working on Kana's body. It rose and glowed as it starting changing forms and age. It was completely covered in light. "Here, hold this." Kana's mom tossed the glass ball with Kana's soul in it into the air expecting Zane to catch it.

Zane stumbled and barely caught the important ball. "I almost dropped her! Be more careful!" Zane was rather on edge.

Kana's mother was raiseing and moving her hands, as if formong the body in air, she was actually using her psychic powers to reform Kana's body. "I am almost done, prepare to release the soul into the body..."

Zane nodded, ready to release. "The sooner Kana's back, the better."

Kana's mother let her hands drop to her side and took a deep breath lowering the body still encased in light. "Okay male, I need you to hold the sphere over the body and then break it and quickly run away...sould will try and enter the closest body to them so it is vital that you act fast."

Zane gulped and held the soul orb over her body. "Here we go." He cracked the orb and quickly ran in the other direction. He tripped though as he turned.
