Haldia watched as they passed the container from one to the next, and when Toshiro looked as though he was getting tired, she pointed to herself and said, "Help?"
She looked at Miyu anxiously. She wanted to help out rather than just watch everyone all the time.

Miyu motioned for Toshiro to hand it to her so she could make it cold some more. Once she had done that she handed the container to Haldia.
"Here, I think maybe a few more minutes and it'll be done, it'll be yummy."
Well as done as it could be she would have to freeze it still.

Haldia blinked with surprise as she took the container from Miyu. How could something be so cold in such a warm season? But it was interesting to her.
She held the container firmly in both hands and began to shake it as hard as she could.

Miyu hummed a bit as Haldia did so, "Ice cream soon!"
"I still say you're the only person I know who'd use ice magic to make ice cream," Toshiro sighed, "You said you'd stay with Ruque to help him with his magic, why couldn't you wait until winter to make ice cream?"
"But ice cream is always good on a summer day!"

Haldia giggled, listening to the two. Exactly how much she understood of what they were saying was questionable, but she got the basic gist of it.
She kept shaking the container, hoping that she was shaking it hard enough.

Toshiro sighed and shook his head as he heard another voice ask, "What are you three up to?"
He turned his head to see Lin standing there with Miyuki who was playing with a rattle, well playing was probably a nice term. It looked like she was swatting an unseen foe with it.
"Making ice cream," Miyu grinned with her hands behind her back.

"Ice cream?" Earendil, never far behind Lin, asked curiously.
Haldia grinned. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't understand. Lin, do you think you could explain for us? In my language so that I can understand it? Miyu and Toshiro sort of explained, but it didn't make any sense to me."
All the while she kept shaking the container.

"Miyu, there's no freezer here or ice how are you making..."
She blinked and looked at Miyu and looked at the container and it finally clicked in.
"Right... ice magic, of course."
Kind of stupid to ask how when she had someone right in front of her that could make it freeze over.
"Ice cream is a frozen treat consisting of some sort of flavouring, sugar, natural or adding sugar it depends on what you're making and milk. Oh yes... and ice would be needed, or in Miyu's case a very, very cold metal container that stays cold."

"So we would have to eat it right away so that it wouldn't get warm?" Earendil asked to be sure. "What does it do if it gets warm? Melt back into milk?"
Haldia wasn't sure how that was going to turn out, but it sounded interesting enough.

"Unless Miyu can find a way to keep it cold it would melt completely over time, not right away..."
Lin paused and switched back into English for a moment.
"I take it you're going to freeze it fully first right?"
Miyu gigged, it amused how easily Lin could do that now. She nodded, "Yes, well not make it into ice, but it'll be very cold once I'm done."
"As for what it turns into... it doesn't turned back into milk perse the shaking is like churning milk into butter, only it won't be melted butter either, it'll have some sort of thick consistency that I really don't know how to explain."

"How much more shaking does it need?" Haldia asked with a sheepish smile. Her arms were starting to ache from the repeated strain of shaking the container to hard for so long.

Lin paused and asked Miyu just because she didn't know. Ice cream wasn't one of those things she had often. Probably because she found it to be a sweet that she couldn't carry around with her.
"Just a bit longer, I think it should be almost done," Miyu replied.
It had been quite a while since the began doing this and Miyu still thought a small (tiny) whirlwind in the container would have been easier.

Haldia nodded. She could handle that. She continued to shake the container, shifting positions to make it more comfortable again.
"How long have you been shaking it?" Earendil asked Haldia, his expression concerned.
Haldia smiled reassuringly at him. "Not very long, I can finish it," she assured him.
"You're sure?" Earendil asked. "I could take over if you like ..."
Haldia smiled and shook her head. "I can finish it," she repeated patiently.

Lin giggled, Earendil worried too much she thought. She blinked and watched the two for a moment and wondered.
Granted he was always a bit... over protective.
It didn't stop her from wondering.

After a few more minutes, Haldia looked over at Miyu. "En..ough?" she asked hesitantly, though she still kept shaking it. To be fair though, her shaking was getting slower and weaker now.
