@iOath
yeah, understandable, but my char is based on his training... then again i suppose there's no way of proving that until my character is seen fighting, so yeah, I've gotten that a few times.
Oh well, I'll just wait until someone from crew is able to talk to me, I'll modify what I have to then. =P

Crew check profiles when you apply for a squad, but if you want some help getting it right before you apply, then asking here is fine. :3
As the crew member in charge of the Vizards right now, I'll echo what Oath said. We have a very strict application policy, and if you haven't served as at least a Squad Vice Captain for some time and achieved Bankai, you won't even be considered.
(Rules are gonna have to change for Ryouka, which didn't exist in the guild when I was last around to work closely with stuff, but because Bankai is still very hard to get, that alone should serve as a decent guideline. And joining a squad to get promoted and leave to become a Vizard is generally frowned upon.)

And trust me, it's really hard. I've been here since....'07? And I've tried to become a vizard. My character had around VC level "strength", but he was an 8th seat, so he couldn't even get anywhere near having bankai. But then again, I was in the squad where Bengervasquez was a Vice. And now he's the captain, which just shows how good he is at RPing. So I gave up trying with that character and decided to start anew.
Anyways, set small goals. It'll be easier for you, and before you know it, you'll be at wherever you want to be. You may not even want to be a vizard after a while.

I wanted to be a vizard my first ten minutes here.. Then I actually made a character, who wasn't even a Shinigami. I don't like vizard as much as I did before..

Being a Vizard is boring because there's not a lot of competition... It's no wonder that my character became a death-seeking blood knight. neutral
But yeah, there are a lot of options out there for new characters. Look at everything that catches your eye, and go for what seems right.

Yeahh.. It was the vizard environment too that kinda repelled the thought of ever trying to be one. What do you DO..? How exactly do you RP on equal grounds.. With anyone..!?

iOath Tender Sweets are there any staff members in this thread? If so could someone please look over my pro? Crew usually don't check profiles. If they have a problem with it, they'll tell you though. @Angelo: If I were you, I would just not put anything that seems OP in your profile. Even if you just put it for your character's background, it's better to not put it in now rather than having a crew member talk to you for having it later. so we dont have to get profiles accepted? odd. but swift.

Convenient, no? If you're a shinigami, your captain checks when you apply. Same with the Bount leader if you're a bount and the leader of Las Noches if you're an arrancar. Don't ask about the quincy though. I honestly wouldn't know....
@Smeeko: Yes, but I want to become a vizard partly because my character's 12 AND a human. So I could go to some place and act all weak. And if anyone called me weak, then..."BANKAI!" Then pull down a mask on my face.

No need to feel dumb, Tender Sweets. It's not like that stuff is obvious to new members.
But like I said earlier, if you want a crew member to help give your profile a tune-up, just ask in here. I'd do it myself, but I'm going away for tonight. Bye, kids~

We'll get to it.. Right now, we can focus all our time on breakin' down these Obelisk! maybe if we do it alone, or most of the work, we'll get rewarded.. <-<
Imagine the real Shinigami's expressions when they find there too late.. All the work is done, and the STUPID INEXPERIENCED GRUNTS did it all by themselves. >:l

Even if you just put it for your character's background, it's better to not put it in now rather than having a crew member talk to you for having it later. so we dont have to get profiles accepted? odd. but swift. Well, Captains usually check your profile when they look at your application to join your squad. Everyone does it differently, but I always read the application first. Ah, don't. Wanting to be powerful isn't necessarily a bad motivation, just don't let it take over, we've had that before. Remember that you need to prove your ability - prove you deserve the skills first. A good profile is probably the best starting point, because people will need to read your profile to get a background on your character. I generally expect that when going into a fight or interaction it's a good idea to read the profile and learn about them before you start so that you know what you're up against and how to use this in your writing. Of course, for my character it's what he actually does, but tactical division under him gets characters privileges. Lots of privileges. It's nice being effectively the military commander. Gives Ryan something he's become very familiar in, and it's a bit of natural intellectual ability combined with a sheer drive to do the best at whatever he's doing as well as decades of chess.
