As the students of Slytherin talked amongst themselves inside their cozy common room, the fire and candles scattered around the common room began to flicker. The students began to look around with worried faces trying to remain calm.
"Don't Worry Everyone.Please remain calm," Rayne announced as the lights finally dimmed out.
Through the darkness, Rayne noticed a snowy eagle headed towards her. As it came closer, she became more and more nervous. After a few moments the snowy eagle dropped a piece of parchment directly on her lap, and looked up at her expectantly. Rayne nodded her head, and through the waning firelight read through the note scrawled in hurried writing. With understanding, Rayne jumped up on her feet and yelled to the surrounding panicked students:
"Attention fellow Slytherin students I have just received a message from Professor Adonis. We are not to leave the common room until he comes."

Ume stumbles around her darkened dorm room and rummages blindly in her trunk. She pulls out the flashlight her adopted mother gave her. "Never thought I'd be needing this..." she says to herself.
Ume turns on the flashlight and goes back to the common room with some parchment and a book.

*Professor Adonis, with the Head Elf followed closely behind him, rushes toward the dungeon wall where the Slytherin Common Room is located. After reaching the wall he pauses, watching the house elves hard at work digging a hole to lead into the common room.*
Slytherin students! Can you hear me?
*After shouting at the top of his lungs, Professor Adonis pauses and hears the faint murmur of replies*
I apologize for leaving you all down here for so long, but I figured it would be hardest to get you out of your common room, since it's located behind a stone wall and underwater. Never fear! I have the house elves of HPGoG hard at work digging a hole to ensure you get out of there soon.
*Professor Adonis pauses again to catch his breath from all the shouting*
I'm not sure how much longer it will be until the house-elves reach you, but I assure you that you're in good hands.
Now there's an elf out here, Fifi (TheRestless), who (once the hole has reached your common room) will guide you safely from the common room and to me. I will lead you to the Great Hall.
((Please note that from this post until the Blackout is over, this common room is locked. Only one person, TheRestless, will be making a post. Once she makes her post, you all will be free to post in the Great Hall of Darkness, located in the Event subforum.))

Fifi looked up at the head master with watery eyes and squeaked, “We’s be getting these students out!” her hand flailing around. She turned back to the group of house elves. “We’s have to move faster’s! Faster’s! the mistress and masters are getting hungry!” her eyes seemed to get a little bigger at the thought of the starving people on the other side of the wall, “Quickleris!” Fifi picked up a shovel as well and begin digging as fast as she could with her “shovel” in actuality the house elves were using spoons to dig the students. The caretaker had put a magic lock on the supply closet that contained the shovels, luckily HPGoG had plenty of spoons in the kitchens.
10 minutes latter…
with little beads of sweat rolling down their green skin the house-elves had finally made the hole big enough in every way for the students to quickly get out of the common room.
“Quicklies masters and mistresses! Bigsys help the littles out first!” she squeaked and then the first set of students started to emerged completely covered in grim and filth. “That’s no good! No good at all’s! we’ll have to be stoppings at a bathroom’s on our ways to the Great Hall!”
after all of the students were safely out of the common room the elves picked up their spoons and all shuddered at how filthy the hall had become. “Oh mies…” Fifi looked around wide eyed, then she remembered how the Headmaster had told her she could not clean the castle till the children were safe inside The Great Hall. Her little body shook a bit, but she was able to hold back.
“Quicklies now! We must get you’s cleaned up!” Fifi took off quickly in the direction to the nearest set of washrooms, “Quickly cleans up!”
another 10 minutes went by…
“Okies! That’s much…” Fifi stopped. All of the students were able to wash their hands and faces but their cloths were still covered. “NOOOO! Stop!” if she allowed them to leave in this condition the whole school would be covered! She turned to a few elves, “Get BIG fluffy towels for the masters and mistress!” she wobbled on her toes as half of the group left running at full speed to get some.
“I’m gratefully sorries” she gave a low bow as her nose touched the ground, “but all of you are justs too dirties to go to the Great Hall!.” She gave a little shudder as she noticed how the sun was moving further and further away, she looked back at the students, “When’s you gets your towel go into the bathrooms and pile your clothes up. Wrap yourself in the towel and come back out here. Myself and the other elves will come back and get your clothes and wash them.” She gave a large toothy grin as the elves returned handing the students towels.
“Quickly! Quickly! Change!” Fifi was on her toes wobbling again.
Soon all of the students were dressed in there fluffy towels in assorted colors and they were all on there way to the Great Hall. The elves walked around the students acting as a protective barrier to anything that might come there way and to their luck nothing crossed their path, but a few dust balls…

Remember that all of you are wearing BIG fluffy towels! Fifi will return your cloths after she has washed them.

Ume peeks into the empty common room. It looks strange after staying in the Great Hall for so long. Her pet Aiko lopes into the room without a second thought, pawing at things.
Ume takes a step inside and sighs. "Finally back"
