Heh. You know what I like to do with noobs who refuse to listen in a Naruto rp? Use Haruhi Kisei or Aden Kurai to beat the snot out of them and show them how good rping can get the win without having to have all-powerful flashy moves.

Haruhi Kisei = Good Cheapness that falls within every rps rules.

Aden Kurai = A loveable character with an ability that is overlooked as weak by pure noobs but is actually very, very dangerous.

My favorite Naruto RPC has to be the Genjutsu specialist who knows the puppetry technique. I made one guy think his sword was actually a bird, and made it fly around using puppetry technique, XP Then I killed him with it, XP

I'm not pissed, it's just annoying to see people go all OoC in a roleplay thread. I mean, we have an OoC thread for a reason. =/

edit::

And honestly, there should be no reason to post OoC in the Roleplay thread anyway. -_-

my normal rule is no OOC without Rp, and ya it looks like im just gonna put us in cage and fight. Remember im in bankai which meens my riatsu is at 200% power so it aint nothing to be toyed with, as I guarantee you that im on level with Yata at his shikai and then some.

There shouldn't be, but from past experiences I've had, not every person I fight reads the OOC discussion threads. So that's why I post an OOC in my fights if I feel it does pertain to the battle. I won't OOC for something stupid.

Duct: Haruhi's ability lets her slip into any place unnoticed and then she slowly creeps onto her target and kills them. She's not a fun opponent to fight against. I do love it when people try to give her a challenge though, but I hate when people godmod against her.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:00 pm

Isn't if she remains unnoticed all the time during the attack god-modding anyway? =/

And I don't like positing OoC at all because then if you add it in a post, then that usually means the next person is going to post OoC as well. And thus, the chain recycles. I say just take it to PM. You shouldn't need to clutter the roleplay thread with any OoC in my opinion.

Well...yes and know. It takes a person with superb perception to see her. It's a clever character/clan I created that is fairly close to godmodding, all the techniques have a time limit, and it drains energy to use, which if the parasite runs out of energy, then it starts draining energy from the user. The goal is to do hit and runs. The ability is specifically for infiltration, espionage, and assassinations meaning that they're not exactly great at long drawn out battles. That is not to say that they can't though.

Some members could be very exceptional and fight long battles with enough energy. I also like to refrain from using this ability is often as possible. It's like my nuke launch pad I keep hidden in backyard with the launch button next to me at all times. She's a "Just in case" of lots of others godmodding. I find that a good rper should usually have a "Just in case" character if you find yourself in such situations. It could backfire and create more people trying to beat you by godmodding, but as I strongly dislike it, I rarely use Haruhi.

The Naruto rp I was in was getting exceptionally bad with godmodders. We had our little group of good rpers, but it wouldn't be enough. I mainly kept Haruhi and Kioshi (another cheap bag of tricks, but not to the extent that Haruhi is. Kioshi is cool, and isn't a godmodding character, just a very strong character) on their own paths of trying to kill eachother.

Two lefts don't make a right though. I doubt that is a very productive way to prevent god-modding since if two do it, then it's just too much of a "Oh if he does it, then I can do it too!" excuse. Honestly, I don't find that any better that just plain god-moding period.

After all, it's okay to have like super-duper powers, but you have to be responsible about them. Flinging them around whenever another does it, isn't.

You can just talk to a Mod about it, talk to them about it, or simply just not roleplay with them. If even if they persist or just fight back with stupid statements then just find a way to escape them, and they just not roleplay them again. I have my fair share of god-modders, and it's easy to handle them if you deliberately avoid them.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:30 pm

Oh no, please don't misunderstand me. I actually don't really set out to hunt godmodders. I haven't ever actually done anything with Haruhi. I know this sounds like I'm going back on my word, but the Kisei ability is not godmodding at all.

I went to mods about it first, but the rp I was in, the mods were playing favorites. So I decided to go make these characters within the legal parameters, fight within the legal parameters, and win within the legal parameters while all the while the godmodders couldn't do anything without actually having to go Super Saiyan or something like that, which then could not be ignored by all the mods.

This is the Kisei clan. It is within most legal parameters.

Kekkei Genkai Ability:
It's not really a Kekkei Genkai. The clan is in possession of a Queen Parasite that gives birth to a new parasite whenever a new child is born into the clan. The new parasite bonds with the newborn and takes away one of the child's senses (sight is common to be lost through this process) in exchange for giving the newborn its powers to use in the future. The host and the parasite are capable of communicating with each other through thought.

The parasite is as black as darkness and can manipulate its body into doing a lot of things. Such as becoming extremely thin, stretching out to certain lengths depending on the age of the parasite and its host, growing temporary body parts, and hardening its skin to withstand a blade. This does not mean that the parasite is all powerful. It can only act on these actions by using chakra much like its host, and if it begins to grow low on its own chakra reserves it will start using its host's chakra to continue acting.

The parasite can sustain its own form outside of the hosts body for a limited amount of time. It can sustain its own form for about two to three minutes before it has to return back inside its host to survive.

The parasite is also capable of cloaking the host with itself to grant them other ways of using its power. Some techniques can only be used in these forms. (I'll go into detail about these forms in the technique list.) One of these abilities that should be noted is the ability for the parasite to become thin. As long as the host remains covered by the parasite, the host can too as well become extremely thin. These forms are also limited to a time limit as well though.

Should the host be killed by an attack that does not kill the parasite as well (like being stabbed in the heart), the parasite can continue living by either using the dead body like a puppet or finding a new suitable host. These parasites are capable of controlling a host if they are weaker than the parasite or if the host is rendered unconscious. The parasite's strength is in relation to that of the strength of the original host (an A rank host makes the parasite A rank which is why the begin the bonding process at a young age, to ensure that both are at equal level so one cannot be more dominant than the other).

As manner to put off any ideas some people might be having, the parasite does not give the host nor does the parasite have the ability to manipulate shadows or darkness. I stress this. The titles of the techniques are called such because the parasite's body is black as darkness and its body is used in all the techniques, not darkness or shadows themselves. Understood?

The techniques if one notices, revolve around two themes: espionage and quick assassinations. Members of this clan excel in those areas and prefer to avoid long and drawn-out battles as they do not excel in such areas.

Clan Techniques:
Mousetsu Akkon no Jutsu - False Impression - C - The parasite wraps itself around the host creating a disguise that looks, feels, and smells like the real deal. They can only change their appearance to that of another person (even if the person is fake). This technique however does have its flaws. It doesn't change the voice and has a time limit. This technique can only be used for ten minutes at a time with a one minute delay before being able to use the technique again.

Amimono no Mayakashi - Web of Decpetion - C - A trap that can be set by the parasite. The trap activates when another person besides the host steps on it. The trap has a radius of five feet. During the day in a well-lit area the trap can be spotted easily due to its black appearance. If a victim activates it, the trap will immediately spring into action ensnaring them. They remain ensnared for only two minuted before the trap dissolves, returning to the parasite. If the trap is not activated within a time frame of seven minutes, it will return to the parasite automatically.

Kireme za Heki - Break the Law - C - This is where the host is wrapped by the parasite and allows the host to share in the parasite's ability of becoming extremely thin. The host can change their shape into a small shadow-looking circle at the least with a two foot radius. Large enough to be spotted by the trained eye, but can secretly sneak by the untrained eye quite easily. There is also a time limit on this technique. The host can only remain this way for five minutes before having to return to their normal form. They would then have to wait two minutes before being able to use the technique again.

Sasou Jigoku - Invite Hell - C - The parasite detaches parts of its body to go outwards along the ground to try and sneak underneath the target and then sprout out from underneath them in the form of a black drill. Once the sprout out, and finish their attack, they quickly return back to the parasite. There is a delay between each use of this attack, the amount of time it takes for the parasite's body to reach up to the target, and the amount of time to return so the technique can be used more often.

Nominuke Meian - Drunkard Shade - C - The parasite forms a small shield in front of the user that is capable of bouncing small attacks back at the attacker. The timing most be perfect however. Too early and the attack will pierce through, too late, and well the host will already have been hit if they cast this technique too late. This technique can only bounce up to C-rank attacks and small thrown weapons back at the attackers.

Bachiatari Shikon - Damned Fang - C - The parasite wraps its body around a victim ensnaring them in a dark sphere. The parasite forms a temporary bond with the victim in order to sustain the form surrounding them. The victim is trapped inside incapable of getting out, but so long as the technique remains in effect, the host is incapable of moving around freely due to having to keep one of their hands within the sphere at all times. The parasite can start draining the chakra from the trapped victim if it so chooses. This technique requires the victim to be within short range as well. This technique is also incapable of killing the victim.

Ga-goiru Katachi - Gargoyle Form - C - The parasite wraps around the host creating a new form for them. The parasite grows a pair of wings, claws, and a beak. This enables the host and parasite the ability to fly and perform techniques that they couldn't in their normal form. This technique only lasts for ten minutes, and for every minute the host remains in this form, they must wait five minutes to be able to use this technique again.

(Taijutsu) Kumori Sajiki - Shadow Gallery - C - The user must be in Ga-goiru Katachi to use this technique. The user dives into the ground seemingly (intoa quick Kireme za Heki actually) and sprouts from the ground underneath the opponent knocking them into the air where the user delivers another blow to them midair knocking them away from the user. This either grants them a chance to try and escape, or a chance to continue into another attack.

Amorufasu - Amorphous - B - The parasite musters itself into a large head that explodes upwards in front of the host knocking any targets airborne and away from the host. This technique can also be used defensively to block any attack of equal rank or lower. Once finished, the parasite returns to its normal state.

Yajuu Katachi - Beast Form - A - The parasite wraps itself around the host making them larger and granting them some other features. The would appear as a monstrous beast with fangs, claws, spines, horns, and a tail striker. This form can only be sustained for five minutes, and for each minute the user remains in this form, they must wait ten minutes before being able to access this form again.

Kumori Ansatsu - Shadow Assassination - A - The parasite sends itself outwards to try and catch a target within itself. The Parasite will wrap around the target until it makes movement impossible and will start to squeeze the life out of them much in the same way pythons and other large non-poisonous snakes do. The target still has opportunities to release themselves from the fate that is wished upon them by the parasite. the parasite can be cut through by any sharp object, can be pushed away by a large chakra release or some other type of burst, or if the target becomes to large to wrap around or summons something too large to wrap around.

Kumori Meiro - Shadow Maze - S - This technique requires the host to be in Ga-goiru Katachi. The parasite casts itself into creating a maze trapping everyone within the area in it. The user remains unmoved in the middle protected surrounded by walls. They cannot move from that position in order to keep the technique working. They also can only rely on one type of sense in targeting the people within the maze (for example, hearing. This sense must be determined in the creation of your character however, not in the rp).

If anyone in the maze makes any response that will allow the caster to use the chosen sense to detect them, the caster and parasite will send out a relentless assault of vine-like projectiles at the detected people to try and ensnare them. If caught, they will be at the mercy of the caster who will either keep them caught until the jutsu ends, or kill them (for example with the hearing, if anyone where to make a noticeable sound within the maze, the caster and parasite would react accordingly towards the sound of the noise. If the person making the sounds dodges the vines without making a sound, they will slip off the caster's radar entirely). The technique can only last as long as the user remains in the Gargoyle form.

Kumori Zetsumei - Shadow Death - S - This technique requires the user to be in Yajuu Katachi. The parasite surrounds an area roughly the size of a very large room with itself. It then strikes out in multiple spikes at random to try and skewer any victims caught inside. Once the spikes have been shot out inside the technique, it returns to the parasite regardless of whether it actually hit anyone or not. It usually skewers its targets usually due to most of them panicking before their eminent death. There is a pause before the spikes shoot out to create an air of uneasiness and fear.

Why be in roleplays which the mods play favorites? That's probably my first question. -_-;

Granted, I'm pretty sure that there are mods here that do the same. I have no evidence, but I'm sure there are, and one day, there's going to be an incident with it.

But still, that shouldn't justify why you need to god-mod here if this isn't even the same guild. Regardless if you're hunting them or just using it as a trump card because someone else god-mods.

Stop talking about "God-modding" Okay..

look like I am using my bankai against Hidate.

It's not really arguing, Hollow. I'm just discussing the concept of it. I'm not arguing at all. At least not myself.
