( I don't see where you're getting these accusations of god-modder. Never did I say that it killed any of the enemy soldiers, I just said it was targeting them. It's not my fault you overlooked the possibility of an ariel assault. I never even specifed if it hit anything either, unlike your post where you said a few bullets automatically hit jay. The mana manifestation was supposed to be a scattering tactic so they could pick each soldier off one by one)
And so, Jay watched as his beam was blocked, then looked down at the bar as one of the soldiers readied a gun towards him. Quickly he slowed down the beam and finally shut all mana off in an attempt to get out of the way, but he was unsuccessful as he felt a bullet sink into his side and two sink into each arm. He grunted as he stumbled back from the recoil, then looked down to see his allies charge in.

*Kasumi would rush to the bar, and notice that the soldiers were opening fire on her guild-mates. While in the woods she got turned around and ended up going where the back entrance of Avzar's would have been. She would quickly perform hand gestures and made 10 dopplegangers of herself. She exhaled and then drew her sword, rushing in to join the battle that had already been ensued. Her first target was the woman responsible for the distruction of her household. She'd make sure to get her revenge*

((Jay, I know you, I also read your posts, something which you should have reread before you made such statement as you said that it was not scatter, you were being careful so as not to hit the others. Now my shots hitting you, yes that is logical if you take a moment to even consider how many rounds per min our fired, even a five second burst can send dozens of rounds flying at you, also you where standing still, but you need not worry such as others have taken the chance to shield you, you may want to add that to your post. Also I did consider an ariel assault it's just that usually when people use magic it comes from them, not as though you hold the high ground as in an airship.))
Jaq had watched as Joscelin struck with violence against the man who now floated in air. But then an object, nay ten objects burst forth into the area caught his eye. Swinging the gun back around he checked the ammo feed. Slamming the hammer back he trained it upon the advancing forms. When they had made it to the killzone he let lose a torrent of shells which did so spray up dirt as the struck about the figures which so did charge. A few rounds caught them, sending the bodies to fly haphazardly, but then the weapon jammed for the bullets had run too quickly. Opening up the chamber Jaq had to hurry, pulling the ammo out and ejecting cassings before he could reset it and start the process over again.
All the while Tilian had been covering Ava and Varuk. With the completion of some ritual a demon so did form with strange shape. Tilian open fire upon it, this wasn't the first time they had face such unholy mechinations and he whispered the Lords Prayer as he smote the creature with lead. Varuk who stood nearly beneath it sunk back from it to find it's girth to be immense. Grimmacing at the sight he beheld he did what all faithful must do upon the eventful field of battle. Charge forth with God in heart and life in mind. Striking at the demon he thrust his blades as deep as they could, hoping the blessed oils they had been bathed in would do their work.

*Two Kas's were knocked back by the shells and they soon dissapeared, leaving eight to change direction and aim their assault at that gun. Three exploding shurikens would do the job. One shuriken would bury itself into the part where the bullets shot out from. Another would be thrown into the chamber where the man was ejecting casings from, and the third was thrown right at the man's feet, so he'd have to step away from the gun in order to save his life. The other five covered the three as they did their work. The possibility of an ambush while they were busy taking out the big gun was all to real now. She'd dealt with the trickery of these attackers before and wouldn't fall victim to them again*

Rivven didn't bother moving toward Ava. He just stared at her, quite aware that they now clearly held the upper hand, no more doubt, but also, that on the other side of the covered woman was his wife. Stay well Morgan. Rivven found the thought fondly, worriedly, sincere in each even as it brought up anger and more pain than any of the wounds on his flesh. "Move aside. A last offer. I will bear you no harm if you likewise do us, I will not take your life unless it would save another's. You understand. If you prevent my passing, I will drop you, if I must to protect my wife." The water by his feet stirred.
With the lead pounding it, the carparace cracked and chipped off in places, the flesh parted to admit the small vessels, it slipped into the mist parts and dissappeared as if they were actually there, and the wings found small small tears. No blood fell, and the creature stood still, staring down at them, floating with it's large wings spread floating perhaps two feet off the ground, somewhere between the shape of a man and a beast, a feral imp form, bent forward with elongated forearms and head, domed skull, perhaps seven or eight feet in height, and thin in places while other were covered in thick armor or bulging muscle. It's jaws parted, and from between the needle teeth, all the lead peices which had found themselves buried within its form fell to the ground with a collection of chimes, and the wounds closed up, quickly enough only for the eye to notice the progress. It's tail whipped out and wrapped about the man burrying his knives in it's thick flanks, two of it's three sets of wings folding around him while the others seemingly held it alloft, though nearly still, and bent over, it's maw came down over his shoulder and sunk into the armor and flesh, and the powerful claws went to peel apart his coverings and flesh, until they would find the heart buried within, and the blood which flew from it.
((Gaerdes is neither a demon, nor a holy creature. He is simply a spirit. He requires blood though as it was in old mythologies considered to be the soul, more or less. He needs something considered of great worth for his services after all, something that can feed him the power to continue to serve the purposes, and thus follow his binding laws of service. If your soldiers knew how to summon him, actually wanted to, and got to it before Rivven did, he'd work for them until the blood absorbed in full, they called him off, or they no longer had power to support his continued presence. Of course, they'll think he's a demon, especially as to how he's attacking, so it doesn't matter...))

Alan dropped from the air as Joscelin came at him. The friction applied on him by the ground made it a simple matter to flip the man over his shoulder and send him into a mound of rubble behind. He grabbed the fallen gun and it resumed its prior shape, putting it back into working order. He fired round after round into the pile of dust where he had sent the man. He couldent sustain this power much longer. Even with the shrine on the mountainside helping it was wearing him down.

Nay a shot landed upon the form of Joscelin who held his hand foward in so trivial a jesture that they did stop and fall to the ground. Summoning strength he grabbed what once was his gun. Ripping it from Alan's grasp he batted the man with it tell he threw it away, gripping the man by the back of his head he brought Alan's head down heavy on his knee before slamming him into the ground repeatedly forcing his skull down again and again tell he heard the loudable popping of neck bones and the cracking of bone.
Jaq saw the blades flying at the gun, no time to move it he abandon it seeing how it was going to be destroyed so they couldn't turn it back upon them. Taking out his shotgun he chambered a round and pulled the trigger sending a solid slug rocketing towards Kasumi. He had fallen back to a pillar of the building and knelt, firing as she came.
Varuk saw as the blades sunk into the flanks and did nothing. In the opposite his hands felt as though they were being consumed and it was only too late as the jaws clamped down about his shoulders and the many teeth tore through his body. Not uttering a scream or a sound despite the pain his mind saught desperately a way to break this enchantment. Striking upon an idea his hands twitched and where slow to work as he held his bleeding hands before him. "Devil, I offer my blood onto thee, takest not the lives of my brothers and you may have all of me." It was desperation in all regards and if he had not served the order he did his soul would have gone to hell for it but as he was already condemed he did the most noble of act he ever could.
Tilian stood as the rounds did nothing but continued to fire none the less, he would never stop tell his breath was taken away, he would stand and die fighting as was expecting of him.

((In the defense of the scatter tactic, I didn't think any soldier in their right mind would hold their positions while being zapped with holy mana. Instead you offer me this cop-out where nobody takes damage except my character. If you read my post, the beam arced and hit the tavern. Secondly, you said we were out of range before the charge, and since Jay never moved from his spot the bullets would've been off target.)

Gaerdes clamped the jaws tighter over the man's shoulder, and the claws tore away the breastplate, coming to his skin, and placing the thumb like digits against it, sinking the claws slowly in. The plates of carparace over it's head slid back, revealing four yellow, shimmering eyes, large and focused, brimming with intelligence and feral instinct to draw blood. A voice rang in his head, in his native language, a formal and gentlemanly tone. So has the payment been made, so shalt the service be given. No. Die bravely, valiant one. The claws tore flesh and cracked ribs, and the jaws came down to delicately pluck the heart from his chest, and consume it in a single gulp, licking the two large wounds clean, unfurling his great wings and dropping the corpse as it were revealed. It stared at the second man a moment, and then the plates slid forward over it's eyes again, returning it to it's former enbodiment, and Gaerdes swept down upon the man with the gun, his wounds continueing to heal slowly, bit by bit, as before.
((And his fate is likely to be very similair... unless you decide you have more plan for this one as well.))

Ava smiled at the heretic's pathetic offer of peace and understanding. Like such a thing could happen when before her he had let lose a vial cloud to consume her comrades. Ava then laughed at the idiot for such a stupid offer and then said "Do not pollute the air with your devil's tongue. Hell hold you down where you belong!" And then she drew quickly and shot for his head with one of her massive handguns, a loud band sending a large blessed bullet towards Rivven's head.

No one could dodge bullets; no one human at least. So, it should be understood that dodging a bullet is quite a bit different from what Rivven did. It wasn't about moving out of the way of the lead, it was about not being in its trajectory when the trigger was pulled. Rivven ducked as the arm swung towards him, and the water bore him forward and aside, sweeping around her just beyond the range of her kicks and punches, where she couldn't simply lean or jump at get to him easily. Mobility, he had to keep moving and circling, not stop, being atop the water he could still react quickly, but he'd be harder to hit at least. Concentrating, Rivven put the chakra running through his vains at work else where, condensing thickly in a mass of chakra over his left forearm, keeping the right available. Water some of the water still settled on the ground rose from the side, twisting itself into a thick bar and swinging sideways at and past her on knee and head level, looking to knock her over and or give a solid blow to the head.

*another kas was taken down by the shotgun, which gave the others time to ready their kunai. Quickly she worked, sending all of them flying towards her target, whose back was against the beam. A few of them went to his left and right while three stayed on target and headed for the man's chest*

Ava had moved as soon as he had dodged her shot, quickly leaping above him and to a high standing point out of the ruble. When she jumped she dropped an incendiary grenade, foreseeing a counter attack. As Ava landed on her new perch the grenade exploded sending thermite in all directions from where Ava used to stand.
On the high ground formed by the ruble Ava saw the many Kasumi's. Recognizing the feminine form Ava counted the number of them this time. Seven of them, much more then last time.

Jaq saw another fall but they kept coming and they were reading more blades to throw. Seeing as they pulled back he reached with his right to his thigh and pulled a frag grenade and threw it amongst them before rushing to his left, two catching him in the arm while a third hit upon his armour but did not pierce. Tilian who was not so fortunate left the world in a likewise fasion as his friend and comrade. ((Alan, two cent whore.))
