i mainly debate with good friends. i'm super-liberal (sounds like a superhero lol), even socialist in some aspects. a lot of my friends are very conservative. we stay friends because we recognize our differences, talk about them, but respect them also. our debates can get very heated, but never "YOUR RONG OMG!!!11!!!1!"
but yeah, debate is fun. we're trying to start a club, but our school is very hesitant about that. there's a high crime rate here, so they seem to think that people in the club will pull out guns and shoot each other if they disagree :l

Hello, I'm Ermengardie. =) My username I 'borrowed' from Frances Hogdson Burnett's A Little Princess (which I love oh, so much) book, by adding the letter i. I've been on Gaia since '05, but with many hiatuses. I love being an environmental community service leader so much. I can't say I've ever been in a gaia guild before, but I really look foward to being in this one. ^^
