Jutaku's arms were thrown behind him, causing him to loose balance when he turned. Causing him to fall, his jaw hitting the ground setting off the ball in his mouth. A thick black smoke poured from his mouth as he lay on the ground. Looking up once before the smoke engulfed him, Jutaku had a sinister look on his face, as he was covered in the thick black smoke. Without him knowing, Jutaku's shoulder started bleeding again, the injuries caused by Zaine in his training were slowly opening.

Arashi had to admit that he should have seen his attack fail. He knew that such a low level kido would do little to nothing to a 4th seat. When the knives started to fly, he calmly dodged them, noting his fellow squad members cocky and overconfident smile.
Well, he has a reason to be so cocky, he knows he's way out of my league.... but if I can just get his distracted long enough... maybe I'll be able to pull this thing off....
Arashi put his hand on his katana, but only for a second. He had a feeling that if he had charged Maikeru he'd counter with the same thing. After all if it worked the first time, on a higher ranking member, why wouldn't it work on Arashi? But if Maikeru wanted to play with Bakudo.... Arashi was more than willing to ablige.
"Bakudo Number 4: Hainawa!"
And quickly after unleashing the attack, Arashi drew his hand to his blade once more, he had a feeling this would prove equally un-effective.

"Smokebomb? Nice gimick I'll give you, used to use it myself." He continued smiling his joyous little smile waiting for either of them to emerge from the smoke cloud, with the added force of a small breeze it had expanded rather quickly, luckily it likely meant it would begin to dissipate earlier as well. He wasn't really paying attention, so when he heard someone speaking he supposed it a retort of somekind. In a way he was correct, what appeared to be a golden ribbon came spinning and zig-zaging out of the smoke like a drugged snake.
Maikeru's eyes widened in surprise, hadn't been expecting that. Good. Yes, I must say, that one is remarkable smarter than you were. Ohhh do be quiet will you Vin? Her only answer was silence.
The golden Kido was closer now, he shoved copious amounts of reiatsu into his legs and leapt, not forwards, not to the side, but up and back. His body turned end over end, his katana flashing out managing to nick the ribbon of energy several times in its erratic course to his arms, never enough to fully sever it, but it was often pointless to try with Kido anyway. It caught him on his way back down, wrapping his arms tight to his sides, his katana still in a relaxed grip. He landed on the ground, skidding and hopping up slightly more without his arms to correct his balance. He looked down at the pulsing energy around him, his left eyebrow raised, looking back up he could see Arashi's silhouette through the smoke, "Not bad at all. Come on now, this certainly won't hold all day."
Maikeru smiled cheerfully before beginning to whistle a jaunty tune once more, as he was wont to do lately. While his right hand held his sword in a ridiculously low guard position thanks to the Bakudo, his left already had a dagger out and sawing at the Kido. One strand quickly parted.

Jutaku was laying on the ground, the smoke still pouring out of his mouth as he began to roll towards is feet using his back. Using that momentum from the rolling motion, he kicked his legs, causing him to leap into the air and land on his feet. He kept going for a moment but stopped himself quickly. Jutaku used his hearing to tell him where Maikeru was within the smoke due to the noise Maikeru and the other one was making.
Thinking for a second, Jutaku bagan to run around in a large circle, going around both Maikeru and the new kid. He began to make noises as he quietly ran around them. Working to get the hado of as he tried to confuse the both of them.

Arashi started to cough and rub his eyes. The smoke was getting in the way of a battle and it was starting to get on his nerves.
So much for working together then.....
Arashi knew that his bakudo wouldn't last very long, to be honest he was surprised it even worked considering its low level.
His mind was ablaze with all kinds of things, anger at his supposed 'partner' for blinding him, joy to be apart of a new squad with somebody who actually cared to duel, inferiority at his 4th seats power level and even sorrow. For what he didn't know but it was there. His mind was racing everything was confusing and he couldn't think clearly when suddenly that voice he had heard earlier had come back and it rang clear as a bell above all else.
Draw the blade! Use your talent with a sword and face them both! Who cares if you are out matched. You can still win, if not the battle in morals! Never forget who you are!!!
Never forget... who I am? That question confused him more than anything else did in this fight, but he had to admit, the voice was right. His swordsmanship would see him through. His hand went for his katana, but this time instead of holding himself back he drew the blade and did his best to slash through the cloud of smoke.
He could at least see the situation. But he knew that what was going to happen next was the next move of his opponent and not his. He just hoped that his 'partner' didn't blind him again....

((Just so you know what is holding your arms is a Bakudo, not Hado. Hado is attack, Bakudo is everything else. Jst so u know, don't bother to edit or anything lol))
Maikeru's eyebrow lifted once more. Really? Deception against him? He was the best theif in the Rukongai before becoming a Shinigami. He closed his eyes and relaxed, it always worked better this way anyway. His short blade flicked once last time and with a quick releasing of misty reiatsu and a strong flex the last tatters went flying, sparking in the air before dissipating. He sheathed his katana and the knive dissapeared back where it had originated. Two wickedly sharp and heavy daggers, clearly meant to cause damage appeared in his hands, he was damned good at sleight of hand as well, it was useful.
With a flick of his wrists they spun into the air over his head. The vast majority of the remainder of his arsenal spun, flicking out into the air, over twenty knives were in motion within moments. Darts, small metal balls, and even a few sharp edged coins joined them as they winged their way out from him. It was a large spray, in every direction the metal went, scattering itself all over the area. Some went up in an arc before coming back down, some straight to their targets with unerring accuracy thudding into the earth with what would be lethal force. Others, and a good number it was, tumbled end over end, in his opponents direction.
He ended in a low position, ridiculous as he looked with one leg bent beneath and the other extended out, his arms cocked and bent. The two heavy daggers fell seamlessly into his open palms. The left held in a reverse grip the right classically.
"I use knives for a reason ladies and gents." He inhaled and exhaled once more, a bright and slightly feral light coming into his eyes.

((that is why i don't use kido at all. I don't know alot about it.))
Jutaku kept running, using the noise from the knifes and other assorted flying materials to dodge them. His injuries from his last fight he had to gain his shikia were catching up with him, he didn't let his injuries heal too much before this fight. His arms were bleeding, but Jutaku kept going. The bakudo was still in effect, he was almost out of it as he fell, a piece from Maikeru hit him in the leg. Jutaku began to slide on the ground as finally got out of the bakudo.

Arashi should have expected as much, one who throws daggers so carelessly clearly has more in stock. He could only block so many, a few of the stray metal balls hit him all over his body, in the arms, chest and legs. Even a couple grazing his head. But none of it was as bad as the pain of the dagger stabbing him in the foot. For all of his efforts in blocking most of the blades, he hadn't seen that one coming and it stung, bad.

"Lets do this boyos." While Maikeru's ridiculous seeming stance did have its disadvantages, while wielding short blades as he did, the advantages far outweighed them. It mainly allowed extremely explosively powerful and swift strikes. He shuffled forward slightly, resembling a crab in some odd way. As his feet edged past the various objects scattered on the ground his muscles tensed in anticipation. Then he was there. He was about two to three yards away from Arashi, and that was about the striking distance for this. With two powerful thrusts of each leg he was right by Arashi. His right-hand dagger flashed, seeking to score lightly in his thigh. Whether a hit or not he would instantly change direction, spinning about, almost using Arashi as a pivot point, and try and drive the other dagger into Arashi's left shoulder, enough for a small puncture but not hard enough to disable him. Maikeru was testing him, seeing how he would deal with an attacker inside the range of his katana.
As his blades flashed in the air he shouted, "Jutaku! Get over here, we are trying to almost-kill eachother, not play baseball silly boy."

Arashi didn't expect his opponent to close range and attack him but he didn't have an issue with it. He needed his right thigh so he brought his blade downwards to counter it, only to find the blade barely gracing his own and a sharp stabbing pain in his left shoulder.
Should have seen that coming....
Arashi gritted his teeth and fought back the pain, right now the most important thing for him to do was to remove the dagger pinning him to the one spot. He knew that it would be painful but that didn't matter, he had to move, he had to be prepared to fight and to do that he needed to move.
Arashi leveled his blade and slashed horizontally outwards, to get his opponent to back away for only a moment while he removed the dagger from his foot.

Jutaku stayed in the position he was in, face down on the ground. Slowly he used his arms to pick himself up. Moving into a shallow stance, his arms low to the ground, his knees bent. Jutaku was ten yards from the other two as he darted at Maikeru, in a straight line he went full speed. His blade low as he slashed at Maikeru's torso.

Maikeru bent forward at the waist and let his legs fall back as Arashi swept his blade out. With a quick shove on the ground and the knife embedded in his foot he slid backward between Arashi's legs, as he exited he deftly removed the dagger from his foot, slipping his heavy fighting dagger between his teeth simultaneously for safe keeping. His eyes flashed up, still almost laying on the ground he flung the very knife he had just snatched from Arashi's foot at the pursuing Jutaku, a few small droplets fell from it as it left his grip. "Bakudo Number Twenty-One, Sekienton." A white dense misty smoke exploded out from where Maikeru's thrusting hand struck the ground, consequently propelling him upright once more.
His voice came out of the still expanding and dense smoke, his presence hard to detect within its concealing confines as his voice seemed to reverbrate off the mist. "When I had this very same fight it was me and two others against Kasen, we managed to get him to release his Shikai...can you do the same? This should be easy for you...one of you has a Shikai, none of us did." A second later Maikeru's reiatsu exploded outwards, flattening and scattering the cloud of smoke, a small shallow crater forming, and his clothing and hair floating about.
He smirked, damn, but he wished he could use this kind of theatricality all the time!

Arashi thought he was nuts. Then again, the way he acted clearly he had to have been some kind of street preformer before he came to The Sereitei so clearly he had some form of experiance.
"Shikai? What do you mean? I know well of the bakudo arts, even some hadio, but me? A Shikai? Your kidding! I just barely graduated... if you mean that strange voice I keep hearing then please tell me more! Other wise shall we just continue the fight?"
Strange.... his reiatsu just pulsed... what is going on here... could that be the power of shikai that he was talking about

Jutaku smiled as he closed his eyes, concentrating on the voice and his surroundings. "Do you really want to see my shikia that bad?" he said trying to figure out where Maikeru was. Suddenly the smoke disappeared, Jutaku hadn't looked at kido much, he always sucked at it and never used it. It usually required to much time to set up, and always announced his position, not something he liked to do. Jutaku looked for Maikeru, not seeing him, he once again concentrated to try to hear him.

"It's not that I want to see it. It's that I know without it you'll never see mine, and you'll both likely end up in Squad Four." He turned his head slightly to look into Arashi's eyes. "Just remember to listen to that voice, trust it, the sooner you learn to do so the sooner it'll tell you its name. Then you'll get to see what Shikai is like. My little friend here is Vin." He patted the sheathed katana fondly, "She absolutely refuses to let me release her unless I'm in danger, says she doesn't want to spoil me. Odd hunh?" Its for you own good. Your back? Again? You always choose the worst times, you know? I'm trying to be impressive here, and I always get the weirdest look on my face when I talk to you. ... Ohh, shut up! He smiled fondly, his eyes refocusing on the world once more. "Hado Number Eleven, Tsuzuri Raiden." He channeled his reiatsu out of his hands and into the daggers. With a quirk of thought and the words of the incantaion arcs of lightning began dancing along his blades, ready to leap into anything they came in contact with. With another smirk he shot forward, rocketing past Arashi, his blades flashing in an inumerable number of lightning stabs and wickedly curved slashes aimed at Jutaku.
"Come on! Hit me!" He couldn't help it, it was his favorite movie, and also the only movie he'd seen.
