I always love your work Lucifer. I think the line drawing is always spot on. Hmm haven't done many superheroes in a while... I should get off my butt and draw some more. I suck at computer colouring, but I do try.

It depends. For fine lines I've been using nibs, but they tear up the paper too easily and clog, so I'm starting to eye those snazzy tech pens. Some of them have quite a nice smooth line to them. Otherwise I tend to stick with a Windsor Newten series 7 brush 5, or an Escota 6. They're good brushes, last quite a while if you treat them with respect. Then I'll use non-acrylic inks. I do have a few acrylic based inks, but only the cheapy brushes get to touch them. Which is fine, I only use them for wide swaths of color anyway, and you can't water the stuff down at all without degrading the color. It's a shame though, because the mosst beatiful super saturated colors come out of those inks.

I've just started using nibs myself and I haven't had trouble with tearing, but that's probably because I use heavy paper. Goddamn your crisp lines, BTW.

I've been using everything for 2 to 4 ply bristol board and the occasional illustration board (although for that I use almost exclusively brush). It's not so terrible on the smooth plate, but I prefer a rougher paper to get the depth of texture I like. The hawk quills make beautiful lines but they're so sharp that just touching one is like pricking yourself with a pin.
