Clarinets for us too. I think because there are more..
Our Bass Clarinets used to talk a ton, even there there were only two of them. xD

At our school, its the percussionists. I sit right in front of them and listen to their conversations. they never get caught until they miss their cues.

The whole band really gets in trouble for talking... We're just terrible that way. xp But if I had to pick, definitely the lower brass. XD Flutes talk all the time but we never get caught, and we're right in front of our BD. wink

Percussion. You wouldn't believe, how many times we get yelled at for talking. Especially, during marching season. xp

our precussionists talk a lot, but they don't pay attention or anything in any class and they aren't ever focused on the music. Next would probably be.... clarinets cause there are so many, or trombone/tenor sax. There's only one tenor sax and she sits next to me (1st chair t bone) and there's only 1 other t bone in my band class and we talk all the time, but quietly, and generally we come in on time. lol. sweatdrop But we've never been yelled at for talking. 4laugh

Saxophones. They talk the most, the loudest, and the meanest. Even when our BD is trying to talk to them. Half the trouble we get to is because of them... *cough cough* Jared Jason Taylor *cough cough*

The trumpets talk the most, but a few of the percussionists put on headphones while we're playing and blast music so loudly that my conductor can hear them from the front of the room. o_o;; The clarinets are also infamous for how much they can't shut up...
Otherwise, most of the rest of us are actually quiet. Even if we break into conversation, we'll stop it when we need to work. Shocking, eh?!

Percussion talks most in any band. we have 7 of us, and 2 of us are the only ones not talking. Another band had like...20! Guess how loud they were? Anyway, all the sections talk, but not as much as us since our mouths are free during play. (Ew...I'd hope they are..)

i shoul clear this up...lead players are the ones who talk the most to other people and other sections...drummers just talk to themselves or the other rhythm section people like bass and guitar(im in a jazz band)lead trumpet talks the most...then i say its a tie between lead trombone(me) and lead saxaphone
