However, I decided to WATCH some of the Near Arc again (man is it boring. D=), and found out Near is KIND OF cool.

Near is okay. Just don't really like him so much. I only like him a bit.

ok,for the original post,you should now near is like,18...i always thought he was around 7 too,but anywayz.....yeah,hes irritating.ill admit that.but he is trying to catch kira,so you cant hate him that much....he still pisses me off though..he has almost no emotion,its pretty annoying...

I actually have come to like Near a lot... please don't shoot meh. ._.;
He's very intelligent and makes him a great candidate to success L, although nobody could ever be another L, obviously... >.>; On top of that, he's very serious and plays with little toys at the same time. whee
I've come to like him so much as to try to cosplay him, too... although I lack a wig... so... it's not done yet. ._.;

I don't hate him really. I mean yes, he was a little cheater and could have done a better job in being Ls heir. But he was pretty cool and without him we wouldn't have any of the other Wammy's kids. So ye, there is no point in hating something we can't change, and actually need. Cuteness was something he kind of had, I can't say he was the cutest, but he certainly ranked high for me.
