I think you maybe refering to Hebrew. As Jewish is an ethnic group/religion not a language.
Siocled: Russian uses the alphabet but the language is in the Finno-ugraic like Finnish. Erzya is close too same language category as well.

mad D
It's a text about the language in the language. I'd figured out that it was Finno-Ugric from "Финно-угрань," (transliterated to "Finno-ugran'" and the second word in the text seems to give it away; Мордовиять, or Mordovijat', makes it very obvious that it's spoken in Mordovia. The Moksha language is occasionally referred to as Mordvin or Mordovian, is it not?
I'll feel very dumb if I get this wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. Especially since I looked the language up on Wikipedia and it has all the right characters.

from wikipedia: The Mordvinic languages are a subgroup of the Finno-Volgaic languages.
The term Mordvin language is mistakenly used for the Erzya language and Moksha language (both are related, but different languages).
---------------------------
It encompasses both Erzya and Moksha, but you weren't far off ^^

Yes, and I guessed Moksha, which, I believe, is more commonly referred to as Mordvin, because I'm pretty sure it has more speakers and besides, you'd already guessed Erzya. mad D
