Mortal Being ...He'd give it about two, three minutes before he made a clear cut decision on going up or down, but currently, going down was a better choice, he wasn't in the mood to climb the ladder. The alley remained calm. The murmur of traffic could be heard and the sound of people about their business came from the other side of the building where the street was. A far off police siren sounded as a bird came to rest on the wooden fence behind Aaron and began to chirp. In a small gust of wind, some idle papers shuffled about the alley floor. The coast appeared quite clear, almost taunting what had just happened to come reveal itself as something more than just a brief daydream. But it would be hard to disprove poor Puffin's body in the corner of the alley, whose tail would wag no more.

Lily stared at the officer as if he had things growing from him that were quite unnatural. Of course he didn't, but that is how she looked at him. She looked about her and confusion filled her expression. "But...I saw these creatures come out of an open manhole, and they started attacking everyone. I jumped down the manhole with two others and we came back up just over there." She pointed to where Eli, Daniel and herself had come out of the sewers. Her voice was growing a little frantic, for she knew she had not imagined what she had just gone through. Why didn't he believe her? Had he not been around when it happened? She knew the whole thing sounded crazy, yet she also knew it was all quite true.
She looked behind her to where she had left Eli and Daniel, and waved for them to join her. Perhaps if all three of them explained what they had seen, then the officer would have no choice but to believe them.

Finally it seemed Aaron was getting a break, regardless that he was in this situation to begin with, it seemed like everything was blowing over. And the greatest news to him was the siren. Life was going on, and policemen were still out there trying to serve and protect. Currently if anyone needed some protection... well besides puffin who could of used protection, Aaron definitely needed it.
So now that he did not have to concern himself too highly on the thought of another attack from those creatures, he decided to drop himself down onto the ground. "Ah sweet greatness" He was relieved that the ground was so nice to him as to welcome back to reality. Yet, there was a reason he was there. He was going to head to the street. Again, it was his original plan, if those creatures came after him, at least he could scream and holler and gather other people attention to lure the creatures away from him. Sure it was a bad mojo on his shoulders, perhaps why he was screwed over so badly in the first place, but if a mass amount of people started to freak out, then the bulk would be saved as marines and other army people would bound to come to save them, right? Well he hoped that would be the case, although knew well enough from movies and video games that it wasn't always the best bet. Still he had to try it.
He took off towards the streets, hoping to find or see something useful to him. If nothing was out of the ordinary, and the police didn't come by, he'd probably walk back home. Meanwhile keeping his eyes on the streets and ground, oh how paranoid he would look.

Zeyla waited there for a few more seconds before deciding that she was going to have to bring Jamison back to his house where it was safer. Though, she had no idea how they were both going to get out of this gigantic crack in the ground with him unconscious. It was near impossible to get back to the surface, so she decided that she was going to have to wake Jamison up. She hit is right cheek lightly as she whispered his name.
"Jamison...Jamison...please wakeup...Jamison...JAMISON!" she hoped it would work. His eyes started to move from behind his eyelids. She lay her head softly upon his chest listening to his heartbeat. Zeyla grabbed Jamison's right hand, and kept her fingers intertwined with his. All of a sudden she felt him squeeze her hand, Good, she thought there's still hope.

Nicole Laurin ...She looked behind her to where she had left Eli and Daniel, and waved for them to join her. Perhaps if all three of them explained what they had seen, then the officer would have no choice but to believe them. "Creatures?" The officer repeated as Lily looked away. "Ma'am, I have no idea what you are talking about. Someone called the station claiming to be a passenger on the bus. They told us the bus tipped over and traffic was stopped. I'm pretty sure I would have been told either by headquarters or by the several people I've already interviewed of something about creatures." A police officer's job entails interacting with all types of people and this wouldn't have been the first time someone a little loopy would have addressed him. He figured he would simply try to end the conversation in a helpful manner so he could leave. "I tell you what, I've got to get back to the station. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help but I'm going to give you the station's number, if you come up with anything else that might help give that number a call." He scribbled down a number and gave it to Lily and left before Eli and Daniel reached Lily. Once they arrived, Daniel was looking back and forth between Lily and the officer's car which was now driving off. "So, how'd it go?"

Meanwhile keeping his eyes on the streets and ground, oh how paranoid he would look. Once again, Aaron was dared to prove something had just happened. Everything was unfolding normally. Passersby payed little attention to him as they walked on. Across the street were two attractive girls whom Aaron might have remembered sitting on the bench earlier in the escapade with Puffin. They appeared to be talking to themselves and looking over at Aaron. Though perhaps they were simply looking across the street. Blocks away, a grumbling Mr. Snaggybottom paced outside waiting for his dog to return.

HELLANiiCE ...Zeyla grabbed Jamison's right hand, and kept her fingers intertwined with his. All of a sudden she felt him squeeze her hand, Good, she thought there's still hope.Jamison's head pounded as he was brought back to consciousness. The sounds of screaming and sirens mixed strangely in his head and he felt like he might be trapped in a bad dream. Slowly, as though out from a great depth, came the voice of Zeyla. It was mostly incoherent to him but he recognized his own name. He willed himself to become more awake and he struggled. A burst of harsh light and a familiar face. His eyes were opened and he could see around him. They were at the bottom of a craggy pit and there were others with them. Across the way he could make out other people scrambling about, most appeared to be making toward a specific point, perhaps an exit. He could no longer support his head and it fell back. Looking up he saw the sky ringed by the pavement he had only moments previously been standing on. His head gave a particularly intense throb and he shut his eyes. "W-where...happened? What am I?" The questions melted into each other.

Lily crumpled up the paper with the number and jammed it into her pocket, where it would likely stay until she did her laundry. "Yeah, thanks for nothing." She muttered as she turned to look at Eli and Daniel. "Well, that was a waste of my time. I think the only thing that really happened was that I managed to convince a cop that I'm crazy." She sighed heavily and rolled her eyes. She was frustrated, but she was also calming down from her previous outburst. "Whatever, its not like cops are all the useful anyways." She looked down at her watch, then up and down the street, then finally back to Eli and Daniel. "Well, you wanna go get something to eat? I starving." She smiled slightly, no longer caring if she was late for work. She was sure she could talk her way out of trouble, like she always did, and smooth things over with the owner. Besides, she was confident enough with her great bartending abilities, and the way she seemed to simply get along with every one of her coworkers, as well as the customers, that she wouldn't get fired. She would likely get yelled at, but she was so used to it that it didn't even bother her anymore.

How could this have all happened? So much had just gone on and everyone seemed so content? Were they not even alerted by what was going on? Oh, why should they? They were not around watching the horrors, but he knew, he knew all too well. In fact these were the thoughts that swirled within his head as he moved across the streets. In fact he was so caught up in thoughts that he didn't even notice those two ladies. Oh on a better circumstance, on a good day, he would go up to them and try to flirt with them once more, however... today was not your ordinary day, unless you lived in a video game and the person wanted to get a good bang for their buck and kept repeating the horror. But who in their right mind would do that!?... Eh, the first thing he would do when he got home would be putting some of his video games to rest... Yes that seemed like a good first step, but there was a lot more going on then just that, he had to plan, he had to think about things.
Apparently the cops were not coming towards his creatures, did that mean there were others out there? Wait weren't some guys talking about it in the park? It was odd, he tried to recall it but he couldn't... However he knew the threat was still at large, it didn't matter if anyone else knew, it would only cause more drama, more people would freak out and the creatures would relish in the chaos. So he had to be rational, he couldn't tell anyone right now. No, instead he would go home, prepare his soon to be fortress, and round up all the money he could get in order to buy supplies. What weapons could he actually use against these things? He never fired an actual gun in his life, never wielded a sword, besides the occasional lightsaber duels with friends, who doesn't have those? So it would have to be something more simple and easier to handle.
Ah he had tons of time to think about it, for now though, he just wanted to go home, and try to get everything he could. Any normal house hold item could also be used to his advantage. If these creatures were looking for war, they picked the wrong person to mess with. He would be ready, the next time they meet, he will be the one holding down the town and be the reigning hero.... Of course it could just be the years and years and years of video games that got him into this mood... could video games warp the mind this much? Probably, that and the fact that it was somewhat his way of dealing with shock...
Meanwhile as he was walking home, the though of puffin and Mr. Snaggybottom never once crossed his mind. After all, the dog wasn't his, why should he care? Although he knew that after this whole battle was over with there was no turning back to his old job. Nope, this was no average walk in the park, and in fact he never wanted to go for another walk in the park again.

She would likely get yelled at, but she was so used to it that it didn't even bother her anymore. Daniel perked up a little at the mention of food. He was hungry as well and wouldn't mind extra company. The three began walking down the street towards a part of the city that had many places to eat. Eli walked along silently as Daniel chatted. The way Lily and Daniel blew off the officer bothered him. He too was hungry but it didn't stop him from turning it over in his mind. What happened today was real right? How in the world could something like that go unnoticed? And how can they keep going like nothing really happened? Well, at least that's how they seem to be behaving. Maybe they really are just hungry. He thought as he grabbed his rumbling stomach. I dunno, I guess I can't do anything really. Might as well eat. They arrived. Daniel and Eli were torn between two places. Daniel wanted burgers and Eli wanted burritos. Almost comically the two turned to Lily for her decision. The area was home to nearly every type of food that would suit anyone's fancy. After all, they were near the heart of the city and people wouldn't want to travel far to get what they wanted.

Nope, this was no average walk in the park, and in fact he never wanted to go for another walk in the park again. The further he got away from the park, the more and more Aaron would blend in with an ever growing crowd. His home lay close to the bustling sector of the inner city so it would not be uncommon. The home was affordable for someone of his means but it would not have been lavish. As such, the neighborhood attracted less than lavish people. An odd group was standing on the corner of Aaron's street and shouting about something and holding up hastily made signage. The sign's read differently, but all talked of the rumored worm people and some gathering on Main Street this evening. The rambunctions group waved the signs about for any who would pay attention. Aaron's house lay only a few minutes walk away now. Its door waiting for the keys at Aaron's side.

Lily had been listening to Daniel chat away, adding in her own bits here and there. He was such a friendly and talkative man, which was perfect, for she loved people who were so upbeat and chatty. She loved socializing, and it appeared Daniel did as well. And so, time passed quickly as they headed down the street. She had almost completely forgotten her troubles, the events from the day and the issues with her job. She couldn't help but smile and feel happy around these two, though it was more around Daniel then Eli.
When the two of them differed on food choices, they both turned to Lily for the decision. Lily huffed in an exaggerated manner, placing her hands firmly on her hips and leaning slightly more on her left leg. Though her face was set in a slight frown, as though she were upset, her eyes seemed to sparkle with laughter. "Honestly, how did you two ever manage without me?" She asked, now smiling and laughing softly. She crossed one arm over her chest, reating the other against her chest as she tapped a finger on her chin. She honestly had no idea what she wanted to eat, just that she wanted food.
Finally, she came to a rather fitting solution. "Why don't we all get whatever food we want, but get it to go. Then we can take it to the park and eat there. That way, we all end up happy." She smiled triumphantly, happy with her little solution. She still had no clue what she wanted, but she was thinking she was leaning closer to the side of burgers.

"Just great, just freaking great." Aaron muttered to himself. Why did he have to walk down this path and see them all? Why did he even have to look over there, he was so caught up in his world, he probably could of pulled off everything he thought about. He could of built up a defense, could of stored up on food, gathered weapons, and have a wonderful base of defense just for him. Now though, now he was hit with how real this thing had become. Real live people were being threatened, real live people were out and about spreading the news to others. They were the brave souls, they were the ones who if died would of died with a great conscious. He? He would of died in his house going 'what the crap, if only I had more time to prepare.' So it became rational what he would have to do. Sorry keyhole, you'd have to wait a little longer before being fulfilled.
He started to turn towards the crowd, ready to help gather up support and let everyone know about the worm people. Yes, for once he was not going to treat life like some video game, he was going to really take a stand and brazen against any effort that happen. Although part of him couldn't help but sigh thinking about how the prices of ramen would sky rocket from a quarter to a few hundred bucks really soon, he should of grabbed some, but sometimes the price of being good would just have to be paid.
