Granted! But you are taxed 99,999,999,999 gold on accident for posting in the forums and the money is lost in a cyber plot hole, never to be seen again.
I wish I had all my travel plans to Spain figured out already.

Someone has just donated 1,000,000 gold to you. Unfortionately it was a ploy to hack into your account and now they've stolen back all the gold, all your items, and destroyed your account so you can't even report them. You're welcome.

You figured out how to get your character's memory back. Your book is a best-seller! Unfortunately the person who granted your wish hit you with a car giving you amnesia. The wish granter had a very easy time convincing your publisher that she (the wish granter) wrote your book, and is now a very rich millionaire. She visits you in your hospital every Wednesday with chocolates and flowers.
I wish I was finished editing my book.

You finish editing your book, but all publishers reject it and even your family and close friends can't stand reading it. You realize they're right and trash it.

You hear the doorbell ring late at night. You open the door but there is no one there, except a mysterious, freshly baked pie. You bring it inside and cut yourself a slice. You can't tell what the strange ingredients are, but you take a bite and it tastes delicious. However, moments later, you realise that you are allergic to the pie! As your throat swells up, your angry mother appears and tells you not to eat so late.
I wish my exams were over.

Your exams finally wind down to a close and you are finally read to close up your books until school starts back up again. Unfortunately, you have discovered that in three of your classes, you have skipped one question and screwed up your entire answer sheet, causing the whole exam to be erroneous. Therefore, you fail the course, possibly having to take the class again over the summer. It depends on the school system.
I wish I could stay focused enough to write a novel.

You're focused enough to write a novel, but right when you sit down to write, your brain suddenly freezes. You can think of nothing, all ideas gone in a flash. In frustration, you throw your computer at the wall.
I wish I could live in the same world as my characters.
