"Red is just fine. It is what you would prefer also, I believe." she said with a bright smile, relaxing where she sat and yet feeling quite nervous. "You are certain I may not provide anything?"

"No no, Just sit tight. We've got it covered." he called back to her pouring two tall wine glasses full of crimson red wine. If he were a lesser man he thought, he could've slipped something in her drink and had his way with her right here right now. Ahah, he laughed at the thought. Despite his evil ways he was at least a man of honor. And a dishonest victory like that wasn't a victory now was it? Shaking those thoughts from his head he cracked his neck and carried out the tray, setting everything neatly before her. Moving to the other side of the table and sitting everything down for him. Sliding the large tray off to the side. "You know, it's funny. We hear when most creatures go on these date things they talk about themselves, their pasts and get to know each other. This really can't happen between us since there probably isn't much one doesn't know about the other. So we're at a loss for what to discuss" he said chuckling slightly taking a sip of his drink. Looking down at the salad he frowned for a moment, not so perfect. Dammit.

She smiled brightly, completely impressed by what he presented her with. "This salad looks delightful!" she said cheerfully, politely waiting for he to seat himself so they could truly dine together, taking a drink after he did. "Well, honestly, I have not truly shed light on my past. Though I would imagine you know this is because I do not enjoy speaking of myself. I feel shy to do so and very rarely have I found anyone who was truly interested in knowing about me. That and most of my life is rather depressing, I would not enjoy subjecting anyone to my memories." she said softly, trying to sound cheerful about this, her cheeks blushing deeply again. After a moment, she took a bite of the salad, completely pleased by the assembly of it, the blend was perfect. "Wonderful, thank you." she said cheerfully, though she took note that he had not taken a bite, worried she was being rude. "You are not hungry?"

Yawgmoth snickered for a moment fiddling around with the salad dancing his fork over it. "Us? hmm oh." he paused "It's...it's nothing. We have a weird compulsion with food, it's nothing honestly." he said taking a large bite, bracing himself for disgust. He found it rather pleasing which was evidenced by his lightened mood after he started to eat. He definitely thought to himself that this was because there was no actual cooking involved. The real meal would be a disaster. He'd have to let her know his nervous tick about his own cooking so she wouldn't think it was her. "Now now" he said between bites "We find no one more interesting than you. We were just talking about this the other day were we not? There's really not a lot to us either, that you haven't already seen or that we can actually remember. When you've been around the so called block as many times as we have, memories of younger days tend to fade. That and after the accident we really don't remember much of before it. Only that we were abandoned as a baby and adopted by two thran women. We never had a father figure." he said shrugging his shoulders. "That's about it for us, so please. Go on. Tell us more about you"

She took a few big bites as he spoke, nodding her head slightly. Drinking a bit more before speaking, she began. "My mother left me on the porch of Fathers house. When Father and Sister arrived, though we did not know we were family, they were surprised to see me. In their first minutes, they decided that I should be taken to another family to live with them. But my scent was familiar to them despite being different and I too was confused, knowing my sister looked familiar from seeing my mother though as I was so young, just two days old, I was confused and later on, began to forget.
They decided, instead, they would take me in. At first, it was very lovely. They helped me to better learn the ancient language and English, they taught me how to properly clean and dress myself. There was much confusion as they believed me to be several years old, though that was far from the truth. However, we were all very happy." she said softly, looking very fond of this, pausing to relish in this memory, taking another bite and sip before moving on.
"I believe I may have spoken this next story to you before .. when I first arrived, it had been Fathers birthday the week before, Sisters was the week after I arrived. With knowing the following year that their birthdays were so close together, when both passed, I became curious to know when my own was. We know now that mine is exactly one week separating from theirs! Which I still find to be very exciting and interesting - such coincidence!" she said with a bright giggle. "We decided that my birthday was earlier in the year, in the sign of water, due to my blue hair and eyes. Ohh, I was so excited at the idea of celebrating my birth when next it came. Though they both decided that waiting the nine months longer for the date we chose was too long, they surprised me greatly with a late celebration! The thought of such a wonderful treat never crossed my mind, I was so surprised I was moved to tears, and even to this day, the feeling of that moment brings a great deal of emotion to my heart." she said softly, again pausing in her speaking, deciding to give him room to speak before going on.

Yawgmoth nodded along listening to her give her life story, things he hadn't heard before. Once she paused he quirked his eyebrow and drank down the rest of his glass to wash down the large bite of salad before speaking. "We have just one simple question for you." he said "What about your mother? Sure you had fantastic youth with your father and your sister, but after your mother left you on the porch what became of her? Do you know?" he inquired. She sounded like she had a very happy childhood. Quite the opposite of himself. Heh, he held up his hand "Ahh one more thing before you start" he said lowering his hand. "We know it's rude to ask a woman her age, however this talk of your birthday makes us curious. Just how old are you? We have a guess. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. Just curious."

"She does not approve of me. I am weak, dragon blood is not strong in me, is what she said. When I tried to explain that I have more than one form, she did not wish to hear it, shut me from her mind. I did not force the issue. Sister went to her, wanting to insist she hear us out, yet she still refused. With that, I left her with saying that whenever she was ready to listen, I would be willing to speak. Neither Father nor Grandfather were able to convince her to listen either." she said softly, pausing for a moment, looking to him with an expression that foreshadowed that she was about to reveal something a bit sensitive. "If I have not explained .. My Father and Sister are Dragon and Rider. My Grandfather and Mother are Dragon and Rider also." she said softly, lowering her gaze a moment after, prodding the remains of her salad for a moment before giving up, her appetite for the moment was lost. She did, however, take another, much deeper drink of her wine, setting the glass down again with a soft sigh.

Yawgmoth finished another bite and gave a solemn nod. "We're sorry to hear that." he replied gently. "At least you have the solace in knowing both of your parents. Though, we often wonder whether it is worse to never know and long for them, or know and lose them like you have. We don't know really." he responded thinking for a moment about which was worse. He guessed in a way they both had their bads and their goods. Shrugging slightly at his own thoughts he returned to her to see if she had more to say.

"You know I am accustomed to rejection. I believe life was preparing me for that moment. Though I had hope of things being different with her, I had a stronger expectation and belief to be cast aside as so many before her had for essentially the same reason .. I am different, I do not meet the unwritten criteria of what is acceptable for those people." she said softly, a small smile still on her face, out of nerves, more than anything else. "I have my Father and Sister for family. I have my friends here in the Syndicate. I am content. Oh! I am approximately twenty three years old." she finished a bit more cheerful sounding, smiling brightly again towards him.

"Twenty-three huh?" he replied finishing the bite of his salad leaving an empty plate and empty glass. "You know, we really aren't so different. Allow us a moment to give you some insight to our life that you might not have seen during moments of connection and omnipotence hmm?" he requested. She had seen and shared many memories with him but there were still things she wasn't aware of. How he grew up, how it was ironic that those people rejected her for being different. And his adoptive race did the same to him after the accident.

"Certainly." she said softly, smiling brightly. She looked almost a little too eager to hear what he would have to say, moving on the edge of her seat in anticipation.

"You see, you were shunned from those people because you weren't the same. Because you were different." he began "Much the same came to be for us. You see, after the Old God left here because of Aliator's stupidity we met him again. He revealed all to us. Everything we were. Our parents, Old Gods that were hunted down by the new order of Gods and killed hid us away on the most developed planet at the time with a race of humanoids called Thran. We were raised by two Thran women. Did well in school and basically buried ourselves in books. Kind of like you hmm?" he chuckled.
"Our mothers were so proud of us. Top of our class, our best friend at the time Glacian, was second. The two of us went on to work for the thran government. We were put on a project to solve their energy crisis. We found the solution in rocks called Powerstones. Stones that actually give off and absorb the magical energy known to most as 'mana'. Our machine of course, backfired and the resulting explosion caught us. Glacian was spared behind glass and machines but we took the full brunt. This triggered the Old God that was locked up inside of us to breach his cage and spread his influence." he said with a sort of saddened tone.
"His influence allowed our genetic heritage to flourish. Basically unlocking the abilities of our Titan race to us. This changed us to the form you see today. However our abilities came at a great price. They were seen as evil and black magic. Forbidden spells and things we shouldn't have been able to do. Our mothers turned their back to us. The Thran society cast us out. We were filled with hatred. The only life we ever knew had betrayed us. So they wanted a villain, they saw a villain in us and we gave them one. We let our powers grow and it washed away all of our Thran self. We renamed ourself Yawgmoth. In a language we created, Phyrexian. Meaning "God". Since that's what we were to those insects. We crushed them. Wiped them out. Created the first phyrexians from their corpses and discovered our gift. The gift of life. Ironic, that we discover the ability to grant life by taking it away. So you see, instead of feeling regret over the deaths we caused, we embraced what we thought to be our purpose in the universe. This of course drove us to be what we are today." he finished explaining taking a long breath and sort of looking away. Basically admitting he had chosen to be evil and turn his feelings of remorse and regret in unnecessary bothersome emotions that he ignored, admitting he had shed a conscience that told him to do the right thing in favor of the wrong.

She watched him silently listening, her eyes filling with emotion as he went on. When he finished and looked away, she understood, she knew that look. Silently she rose from her seat, it would likely look like she were going to leave and abandon him. Instead, she wandered behind him, running each of her hands gently, gracefully over his shoulders, meeting for a moment before crossing over his chest, hugging him, her head resting on the shoulder opposite of the direction he was looking in.
"I had such thoughts at one time of doing the same. Father and Sister were there for me to help me through those hard times in my youth, I was very fortunate. And yet, I would be so much less the coward I may seem to be these days if I had not had them. Though, is it truly cowardice? I ask myself this question often. I could then and could now in many ways crush nearly everyone who had caused me pain in my youth. I choose not to. The fear I have, one which you have gone through with, is what would happen if I did crush them? Eventually, I knew I would likely crush everyone on this planet. I did not want that. I find life to be very beautiful, despite the pain it has caused to me.
Again, these experiences we both have, the memories they have created, the life we each lead .. we are much the two sides of one coin, so to speak. Though you are one side and I am another. For every possibility, you take one path and I take the opposite. You also have so much more experience, so many more memories than I. I wonder how different things will be when I have aged more." she said softly, giving him a stronger squeeze as she finished speaking.

Yawgmoth gently placed his hand on hers. "That is the difference in our situations. And it is key." he said in a quiet sounding voice. "You had your father, your sister there to help you through. We had no one. Everyone rejected us. We were alone. And in solitude, nothing is there to stop the thoughts from coming into your mind. The hatred, will always consume the conscience." he replied. "We are, indeed polar opposites with very similar experiences. Two sides of one coin is exactly how we would put it. What does this mean though? Are we never to be on good terms with you for long before our path crosses yours in a manner of evil and treachery? " he asked turning his face towards her own. His eyes were soft, solemn, instead of the usual hard glare or firm confidant glow.

Moving quietly around to his side, she cupped his hand in her own, looking to him with a gentile expression, much like his own. "The answer, I do not know. Though I can say truthfully that I treasure the peace and happiness we have shared. Times like now." she said with a sweet smile. It was the truth, she loved being with him when he was actually being polite and civil and not focusing on doing or saying hateful things. She hoped this would be received as a compliment and not an insult.
