Hi, I'm Disease of the Flesh. Im quite new to steampunk, but I do like it very much. I think this is te place for me to learn more about it. And I just love to draw and write. On music, I mostly listen to early goth music, like Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and other bands in that genre, like The Crüxshadows etc.

Hello everyone heart
I'm fairly new to the Steam community as it is; however, for years I was fascinated by a time and "era" which didn't appear to be (movies, television, anime, books, and other genre media sparked some of my interest). I collected goggles, leather belts, bags and what-not items here and there without realizing many of these things would fall into the Steampunk category. This was every so often, until a friend of mine sent me a link to an item clearly labeled with "SteamPunk." I finally had the sense knocked into me by realizing there was a community to turn to :O I'm excited.
I don't want to make this too long winded, so as for anything else: I'm a 20 year old college student in the US. I'm an amateur photographer and costume designer.
Now I cannot WAIT XD to raid the guild and read up. I'd give an evil cackle right about now but that one usually scares off the kiddies O-o;

I'm Aggatho, and I'm a new member of this guild.
I've been fascinated with Steampunk for years now, especially the fashion... there aren't many of us here in Iceland, so people usually look at me very strangely smile
Anyways... I just wanted to say hello to you all, and I look forward to spending time here.

Hello there! I'm David, new to Gaia. I've been interested in the Victorian-era and industrial revolution in general for a long time - but I was unaware, until recently, that there was a genre of fiction built around it :3 I remeber playing a game called Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick obscura many years ago; I didn't know it at the time, but this was my first encounter with steampunk :3 However, I haven encountered only a handful of other games centred around the steampunk genre. About me. Hmm. Well I'm a university student in the North of England, currently studying a degree in "The manufacture and construction of the electro-mechanical difference engine" (Computer Science) wink

hiya! the name is Sarina and i just recently got into this whole genre of fashion and fell in love with it! i never realized how much of the fashion i actually had just laying around (top hat, cane, bustled skirts, corsets etc...) until i learned the name and the origin of the fashion! all i need now are some old keys/gears/pocket watch and i am set hahaha!
can't wait to start posting my creations and meeting new people!! heart

Hello all.
I am [zen], and I'm quite enamored with the Steampunk scene. I love going antique-shopping, and am hopelessly obsessed with history. I clicked on the steampunk thread and it was like coming home. 4laugh
I'm hoping to see you all around, because I intend on staying for a very long time.

*throws hands up into the air* Huzza! I have been accepted into this most beautiful of guilds! I am so happy!!!
I am Kiryu the Steel Dragon, but you all may call me Kiryu for short. Or John, which is probably easier in some way. I can't say that I'm new to the steampunk world, but I'm not greatly familiar with it. It's hard to explain, but its kind of like when you're a big fan of anime, but the extent of your knowledge about it is that it's a cartoon. You know that it's foreign, but you never knew it was its own classified genre. Does that make sense? No? Eh, never mind.
I just hope that I can make some new friends, become more educated in the steampunk world, and maybe get some inspiration for my steampunk story.

Pleased to meet you all.
My name is Jiang Lan. However it tends to change after a while as my desired name is taken by a dead account, thus until I find a name which I feel is a real "fit" it's subject to change.
Like many of us, I've always had this interest in steampunk without the knowledge of it's subculture. I have a habit of collecting little things which fall into this catagory although it's possible that I just have the "shiny" gene. You know what I'm talking about wink
I spend much of my free time creating alternate worlds in a more artisitc fashion rather than sci-fi. If you ask I may even show you scan of my sketches.
Perhaps the last things to know about me are my love of nature, animals, and reading. I spend most of my time doing something related to these things in some way.

Hello I'm JackLantern2020 and I have been a steampunk fan since the anime,full metal alchemist. I enjoyed stories about the era before electricity or when it was just being discovered. I am so glad I was inducted into this great guild!
