Ulrich looked at Donovan and shrugged one shoulder. "He didn't much like what I told him," he replied nonchalantly. "I told him what you said, and added my own bit ... don't worry, he knows that the bit that annoyed him wasn't from you."
He chuckled lightly.
Daeron laughed softly as Kara patted his head, and even more at Skye's attempt to say his name.
"Just like when I was little," he giggled. "She can't say it either."

Wings fluttered nervously as Miyu turned her head to see Ulrich, laughter was good, and he seemed amused. She kept clinging to Donovan for dear life though.
Kara giggled a bit, as she looked at Skye, nodding, "Daeron," she confirmed.

"Should I even ask what you added?" Donovan was curious, partly because he was sure Ulrich meant it in all fun like the way he did when he was teasing Donovan about Kara.

Skye smiled and looked up at Daeron again, her wings fluttering excitedly. So that was why he looked different - he wasn't Celebor!
She giggled and put her hand to his throat, then with her other hand pointed at his lips (in fact she put her finger halfway in his mouth).
"Talk!" she instructed, wanting very much to feel his vibrations.

Ulrich shrugged, not seeming to care one way or the other. "No matter. I just reminded him that he's no closer to the throne than I am - despite the fact that his daughter's the heir apparent. And as such there was no way I was going to let him be rude to our guests - you."
He paused. "I think it was the not being allowed to be rude to you that got to him," he said slowly. "Since of course he knows that his and my position are equal."
Even though it was Ruel's grandmother who was on the throne.
Daeron stared down at Skye, perplexed by her actions.
"Um ... what am I supposed to say?" he asked, confused.

Kara giggled as she petted Skye, "Skye likes people to talk, I think she likes to feel their throat as they do," she murmured, "That's as far as I can tell."
Miyu wiggled out of Donovan's grasp to hide under his coat on his lap. She liked it better like that.

Donovan raised a brow at that, well that was news to him, he hadn't really thought about the government system, but somehow it made a bit of sense.
"Luthien had another kid?" it was a retorical question.

Skye giggled as she held her hand against Daeron's throat - it tickled her palm, and she liked that.
She felt vibrations coming from her grandmother, and she looked up at her, beaming. "Gamma pet Skye!" she announced, as if she were telling the others something they hadn't already known. She reached up and poked Kara's arm, giggling.

Daeron grinned happily. "She's cute," he told Kara, looking up at her with excited eyes. "She's Nara-thel's daughter? Nako'll like that!" He laughed.
Ulrich nodded to Donovan, a slow smile creeping across his face. "Tinuviel," he affirmed. "Five and a half years old, spitting image of Luthien ... and thankfully more like her than her father."
He rolled his eyes, then chuckled slightly.

Kara giggled slightly, it was like listening to Salty only Skye had more luck in talking, she poked Skye back gently, "Yes, she is," Kara replied proudly.
So cute, then again all the little children where Kara thought to herself.
Miyu looked over her shoulder to see what Ulrich was laughing about, she didn't really see anything funny at all. Then again she didn't know what he meant, though she understood the speech... like many Seconds.

"That's good to know," Donovan muttered, "Otherwise I'd worry a bit."
It also meant that Elnara could be herself, which was even better, besides he had a feeling one would have to drag Elnara back here.

Skye fidgeted her way out of Daeron's lap and onto the floor, where she headed for the door she'd been heading for in the first place. She'd caught sight of someone inside that looked like it might have been Mommy ...

"And I wouldn't blame you," Ulrich nodded in agreement. "And really ... I'm actually sort of amazed that Ruel brought Daeron out here at all, considering how vehemently he despises his mother and sister."
Daeron watched Skye wander off, still grinning, but he turned his attention over to the other conversation and ran over to sit beside Ulrich.
In the kitchen, Ulani had just gotten the tray of food ready and was about to pick it up when she heard the tap-tap-tap of approaching footsteps. She glanced down to see Skye wandering into the kitchen, and she squealed slightly.
"So cuuuute!" she exclaimed, swooping down to pick her up and swing her around a bit. "And who might you be?"
She held Skye in one arm and with the other hand picked up the tray and headed for the livingroom.

Kara kept a close eye on Skye, but had to laugh a bit at Ulani's reaction. It was kind of funny, she seemed to adore little children.
"Ulani, do you need help since you're holding Skye?" she asked.

Donovan rolled his eyes at that, "His Mom too huh? Weirdo," Donovan grumbled, "I would understand if she was a bad mother, but she's doing the hardest thing yet, and it's staying away for their well being," he mused how strange it was for him.
