[hooray! thanks to your quick thinking, the fortitude dc has decreased from 13 to 11. to finish a bowl takes 3 checks. fail 3 times and you get salt overload.]
"All right then," Andou waved Shippo over and made their order. He had a very small smile on his face as he did so, it was as if he really couldn't wait to try this new exotic noodle dish on offer. Which you know, may actually have been the case. At any rate it would take a while for the food to arrive so Andou decided to do a little more information gathering talking.
"To be honest, i'm a bit surprised you decided to become a shinobi," he said to Shinzu. "What plans do you have?"

"Plans huh?" Shinzu thought to himself for a moment "I'm thinking about maybe becoming an ANBU operative but I'm not sure." He shrugged a little he hadn't really thought about it that much. He knew for a fact he'd become a Chuunin but that was as far as he yhought it out. "I know I want to become a Chuunin for sure but that's as far as I've thought it out."

"But have you thought about what you want to specialise in?" Andou persisted. "For example, ninjutsu, weapons, medical techniques..." Most students usually had grand ideas of glory in an already chosen field starting from the first day of school. Shin Takamura had wanted something to do with weapons. And Uzuki Arashi had geared himself up to become a master of his clan techniques. Andou himself had wanted to become a master swordsman. Well... he was on the way. He offered no other comment on the rest of Shinzu's words, although he did think cynically that Shinzu may have an easier time achieving them comparatively, since Kirigakure was so desperate.

"I've always wanted to spelcialize in weapons and Taijutsu. The way I see it that's how the shinobi arts started and those are the areas that should be focused on because you'll run out of Chakra eventually but you can keep using your body. I want to prove that Taijutsu and weapons aren't dead because of how popular ninjutsus and genjutsus are." Shinzu said. He wasn't exactly the big dreams type he just wanted to live and enjoy his life while it lasted but if big or good things happened to him he's enjoy it.

"Oh, I see," Andou answered him, thinking about the students trying to become genin and the two students, no, three if he included that girl in the shoreline. One was a clear ninjutsu/taijutsu hybrid. One was more taijutsu based. The last... to be honest he didn't even know how Rubbish Boy Masanori fought. For their team's sake, Andou hoped he chose to specialise in something far-ranging, preferably genjutsu actually. And then you had Shinzu, the taijutsu close-ranger fighter. Batosai also seemed to favour taijutsu. Hopefully, a foil would appear soon, or maybe one of these two would develop into the foil out of pure necessity.
"That's a good way to think," Andou acknowledged. "I agree with you, actually. Just don't neglect the other fields too. Don't ever lose sight of the bigger picture."
Just then, both bowls of steaming hot noodles arrived. They weren't too big, probably to the relief of Shinzu; they were about the right size for a small afternoon meal. The chopsticks were balanced neatly on the rim of the bowl and Andou picked them up gracefully. "Well... itadakimasu. Let's eat," he said almost pleasantly to Shinzu.

"Yes I'll remember that Andou Sensei." Shinzu said as the Ramen got there. He gulped before grabbing a set of chop sticks before eating a little of the ramen. The salt hit him like and alvalanche. "Uhhh so salty." He said before quickly taking a drink it may have been really salty but it wasn't a total overload so he decided to keep eating it.

The next bite he took wasn't as bad as the first in fact it actually tasted pretty good despite the salt. "I see why you like this Ramen Andou Sensei it's actually pretty good evn though he must have put a whole salt rock in it." Shinzu thought for a moment again about the specializations then said "I think I also want to specialize in demolitions with explosize tags,sir."
10 - 2 = 8 Fail
While he awaited Andou's reply Shinzu took another bite. This time however he must have hit a salt heavy part of the Ramen because his throat began to dry. It dried so much Shinzu coughed several times "Ugh not the best bite I've taken so far ugh."

Andou raised an eyebrow as the boy in front of him started coughing. He'd had the Shio Ramen a couple of times before and it had never given him this much trouble. Although he vaguely remembered balking at it once when he was a boy... when he'd actually tried it after a few years as a hard core ninja, it proved to just be what he needed. "Yes, I quite like the intensity of the flavour," he replied Shinzu and tried to ignore the boy's spasms... for Shinzu's sake.
"Explosive tags can be very deadly if used right," Andou added. "And it's a tactic that can be used without needing to be in the actual area. It's good to broaden your abilities." But enough of talking. Andou was eager to try his noodles and he dug in.

Shinzu took one last bite expecting this one to not be that bad but when he took it his throat instantly went dry as a desert. His hands went to his drink as he gasped for water and some air. He drank the entire cup of water but his mouth still didn't moisterize. His head landed on the table with a loud thunk where he passed out for a moment because of the salt overload.

Andou was so busy eating his noodles and enjoying the exotic flavour of the coconut milk that was in the spicy soup that he didn't notice Shinzu suffering. He heard a thunk, but merely assumed that it was some kitchen sound. Like, maybe chopping pork. Or mincing meat to make meatballs. It was only when he realised that his student was oddly silent that he decided to look in his direction, and discovered that he was passed out!!! Although he felt slightly bemused, and maybe just a bit guilty, he leapt into action. Shinzu was beginning to wake up, so Andou took out his own flagon of water and forced some liquid down Shinzu's throat. He also called for a bottle of water on the spot!
Hmm... well, perhaps Hikromi Zitso was a bit too "extreme" for someone so new to shinobi life... Andou would have to keep that in mind.

Shinzu woke up as Andou was poring the water down his throat, which help.... a little. "N-never again Sensei you can keep your exotic ramen to yourself I'm sticking to the normal stuff from now on!" He said he would be yelling if he could talk better but the slightly heightened tone should have been enough to get his point across. As the other bottle of water came over he chugged it down his throat finally starting to remoisterize. "If I'm going to be a taijutsu fighter I'm going to have better dexterity, huh?" he said slightly laughing at himself.

[i'm sorry for always taking forever to post gideon t_t it shall stop now!!]
Andou felt a little bit indignant as shinzu criticised his ramen of choice. "Well, it does get better as you have more. It's an acquired taste," he answered, a bit petulantly. Well, as petulantly as this man with a stone face and steel voice could allow his voice to waver anyway. Well as he changed the subject Andou knew that he was just fine.
"Yes, of course," Andou affirmed. "Base dexterity helps you dodge. It's great if you have good senses, so that you can detect the enemy coming. But if your body isn't quick enough to react, all the hearing in the world will be useless for you in avoiding attacks." He finished his noodles with one last slurp (it was etiquette!) and fixed Shinzu with a stare. "So, ready to continue training?"
[remind me to do your exp tomorrow if i haven't done it already.]
