Kage showed his teeth ina sweet manner, lowering his rump to the ground for a rest. His shoulder hadn't ripped, the skin closing nicely over the wound. He hadn't really thought about it much until now, but the pain had mostly subsided. He shook his body, giving himself a cleaner feel of air. Looking at Gyani he couldn't help but wonder what all she'd been through, where she had been. He'd keep his mouth shut and not inquire, but he would want to know later on. His tongue met his muzzle again, his jaw opening in a dry spell. Lowering his head a little, he lapped his tongue in the water, sipping it lightly. "Water," he mumbled, smiling an appriciative smile.

Gyani smiled and streched her paws forward, assuming a lying down position. She remembered what he said about his past, and payed attention to hs word 'water'. Was water the element? what was evil in water?

He lifted his head, once again sniffing the air and making sure they weren't being unknowingly tracked or surrounded. Once he was sure, he caught a glimpse of something moving close by. "What was that?" he thought, glancing around. Then he eyes found the object... a furry little squirrel. "That thing should realize if it keeps hanging around our kind, it's going to get eaten," he thought sarcastically. Then lowering his eyes, he mapped the Earth. It was something that caught his eye that he now stared at. A butterfly had landed on his paw, fluttering it's wings lightly. He just looked at it with a curious surprise.

"Yeah.. " Gyani said, then looked at the butterfly that landed on his paws. "Nice.. But, don't sniff it. " Gyani said, in puhood she had tried to sniff one, but it was so frail it had got sucked to her nose, not to meantion the dust from its wings, wich Gyani didn't really know.

"Heh," he released, not really noticing his small laugh. He couldn't help but wiggle his toes and watch the butterfly float into the distant air. His eyes flickered back to Gyani, searching her coat for something unknown. He couldn't think of any words to offer, so he just syaed and continued to look for the unknown.

Gyani looked at the butterfly, whenever she really payed attention to butterfly and birds, it put her in to imagination. The wolf wondered how it was to capture the wind under her paws, run in the air and see all from above... But she forgot about it quickly. "So, now what will we do? "

He looked once again at the water, staring into the glossy and silent stream. "The water is so... different to the other elements," he thought, dipping his muzzle once again into the water. Suddenly, his stomach churned and his head pulsed, his body beginning to wobble quietly. "Uh," he mumbled, then began to moan in pain. The images he occured as a pup, not remembering his horrid sequences until now, flashed before him. Everything spun, his body now being thrown off balance and falling into the water. His body fell limp, making him sink wearily to the bottom.
Suddenly his body began to react from lack of breath, raising his paws and coming partically above the water's surface. Strucken again with the emotional substance, he tried to paddle. This led him farther into the middle of the stream, more and more away from the unwillingly forgotten Gyani. Kage unknowingly yelped, being thrown around and hestitantly crashing into a rock. His body continued downstream, his mind only able to keep him alive for now. He kept going, unaware of time's progressing until he was out of the she-wolf's sight.

When Kage had fell in the water and seemed like he was drowning, Gyani lept in to the water to help him. But she culden't keep up, and ended up going back to shore, only to chase him for a while, before running out of breath. She stumbled to the ground, ending up on her back. She pushed herself to lay normaly, raising her head and letting out a howl. She was worried about Kage, who wulden't be?

Kage ended up on a far off shore, the smell of death and fire in the air. His nose twitched, his eyes opening slowly. In his view was a small girl, about the age of 6 and alone for some reason. "Two-legger," his mind screamed, his legs coming out from under him when trying to raise. "Must get away," he growled to himself, his body still unable to move. His muzzle let out a sigh, his brain screaming at him for his weakness. He laid silent, still, hoping the girl would remove herself. A couple of minutes passed, the girl coming closer to him happily. She laid a hand on his fur, plopping down beside him, oblivious to any danger he would cause her. She let out a drool bubble yawn, laying her head on the silent Kage and receeding to a sleep. "What the..." he fought, scarring his mind with sudden thoughts. "What had happened? Where am I? What the heck is she doing to me?" he questioned, interriogating himself harshly. "GYANI," his heart ached, stomach twisting. He had lost her, and now he was trapped with this human fallen limp on a strange beach.

Back in the free lands, great. Seems at the 'pack' meeting Gaara's arrival had ruined all, and when gaara had looked at them all before leaving, Gyani was feeling so uneasy here, and she wondered what had happened to Kage-- did he survive the river crash? he culd have pulled out.. Right? Of course he wulden't die, he was strong and.. And.. She didn't know what to do, return to her old pack, like that was a possibility, they were all dead, and disliked her, well, maybe with the ecceptions of Phantom and her mother. Now the female just wanderedaimlessly through the freelands, hoping not to see gaara, and hoping to see Kage, or any of the 'nice' wolves she'd met.

[color=steelblue] Kage picked himself off the ground and quickly started off toward the river valley. "What happened to her?" he thought, being one of the quiet types, he did this alot. His travels had taken him from his wonderful time with Gyani, straight to the humans, then to a pack, and now alone again. Much of what happened was a blur, but now he knew what he was looking for; yet he still ddin't know where he was going. His black nose bobbled while he sprinted, sniffing frequently for any familiar, a certain imparticular, scent. The sun was already going down, and his muscles were just now getting loose from the jogging pace. He boredly ran, but with a high stance and hopeful spirits. Finally, his head jerked to the East and his ears streamed forward. "It's her," he whispered happily, changing his lead to go directly toward her. Halfway there he stopped dead in his tracks, "What if she doesn't want to see me again?" His eyes lowered, his ears drooping. Not only but a minute later he was off again, putting all of his faith in destiny. He knew the feeling was mutual, somewhere, even if only a little, and he'd try if it costed him his life, just to see her once more.

The female's nose twiched when a scent was detected. "Kage..? " Was a hopefull mutter escaping her maw, and tGyani rushed west, she hoped she was right, and probably was, as scents didn't lie.. often.

He finally reached the field, then seeing her in the distance. He couldn't help but howl, a joyous and dreaming tone. "Gyani!" his thoughts rang, running at full speed toward her with a smile on his face. Once he reached her, he abruptly stopped, looking at her cautiously. "Gyani," he said, gazing into her golden eyes, "I've missed you so much." He kept from panting, so happy she was there. He would wait before caressing her, making sure she wished him to be there.

Gyani stopped, not saying a word for a while, just staring at him, head low like a tired wolf's wuld be. "... Kage... " The blue female whispered, then jolted forward, nuzzling the cyan and black wolf's neck. "Kage! You're ok-- are you ok? ' She said quite histericaly, padding around the male to see if he was hurt, then standing at his side. "What happened to you..? I was worried! " she 'complained' though her voice wasen't anoyed, it was soft and understanding.

His eyes took on a sparkle, finally with her again. He shook his head, "I'm fine, I'm fine." He rubbed against her, nuzzling her after all this time. "How are you? Have you been doing okay?" he questioned, hoping he hadn't let anything happen to her while she was gone. "I'm just so happy to see you," he whispered under his breath, dancing happily with her.
