I finally got to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in New York City on Tuesday! It was totally awesome! And I was so happy we went this week because they were doing this "Broadway Cares" drive for AIDS and Breast Cancer research. When you give $50, you get a signed poster from the whole company(and for $100, you can get the new not-so-great looking poster signed by the company)! I was excited because I now have a signed poster from Phantom of the Opera!

I was at the library today...

Me: As long as we're here...
Mom: Yes?
Me: I'd like to push my obsession a little...
Mom: No! You already said you were going to get your computer time out of the way!
Me: It's not that!
Mom: What then?
Me: Could I just...get the book?
Mom: Uh...sure.

I GOT THE BOOK! HOORAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!

Made plans with my best friend to take a roadtrip to see the U.S. Tour of Phantom this June. Unfortunately, it won't be on Broadway, but I'm excited enough just to be seeing the show at last. I've been a Phan for nearly 10 years, and am just now able to catch it live.

It's a good one. Make sure that you do read Phantom by Susan Kay. It's really good.

I finally got the Original London Cast Recording yesterday!!! *jumps up and down, and then starts to randomly dance around in circles* And I also found out that my mom loves Michael Crawford's voice! I didn't even know my parents knew who Michael Crawford was! I became very giddy. Anyway, it cost me over 50 bucks, but I finally have it!!! heart mrgreen

Also, I phreaked out a couple of months ago because one of my phiends on phantomoftheopera.com told me that PotO is coming to Toronto next March, and posted the link to the website *dances some more*

And then there were some other great phan-ish days, like when I finally got the Kay book, and when I found the highlights CD of the Original Canadian Cast for only a few dollars.

Lol, that's the sad part...I live just outside of Toronto. But they didn't have it in any of the stores near me, and I couldn't be bothered to order it online (don't have a credit card anyway), so I just figured I'd buy it in the only place I could find it. LOL I already know I got jipped. But to me, the money didn't matter, just the fact that I finally got it. *sits there smiling while everyone else thinks she's crazy for spending $52 on the original cast recording* mrgreen

I know it's ridiculous to spend that amount on it...but I just wanted it sooo bad!

Well that explains it. I was just wondering since normally CDs, even ones like that, never go for so much. But hey, at least you got it.
