Tilly stayed on the bed. She covered her muzzle with her paws. Why couldn't Kuoni see they were there for her?
Kuoni's breath came fast and short. All she could see was that her talking to others was causing more problems and hurt feelings. Only a small part of her realized that resolving the issue was easy, but her scarred mind shoved that knowledge away and blew up the image that she was at fault again for hurting them. She looked between Tilly on the bed and the door Aphrodite had just left through.
"I'm sorry." She said softly. She didn't know what else to say. She yelped when she was suddenly tackled by Tilly, who was crying and babbling something loudly into Kuoni's ear. Tilly was clinging to Kuoni, who, as soon as she realized she wasn't being attacked, clung back fiercly. "I'm sorry." She said again through Tilly's cries. Was this all they wanted to hear? An apology?

Aphrodite stayed where she was against the wall and pulled her knees up. She wrapped her arms around her legs to hold up her skirt so no one could see up it. She also had her head laying on her knees so no one could see the tears coming from her blind eyes. She was quite upset with this whole deal with Kuoni.

Tilly managed to start breathing again and pulled back. "It's not too late." She said, a hint of pleading in her voice. "Just go see them. You'll see. It's not too late."
Kuoni stared for a moment. She knew what she was going to do now. It wouldn't be easy for her, in fact, she figured it was going to suck majorly, but she would have to see her parents. And Timmy and others. But first... She nodded slowly, giving Tilly a lick on the nose, then headed out the door. She spotted Aphrodite a short way down the hall and padded softly over, her head and tail drooped in guilt. "Aphrodite... please look at me." She wanted her friend to know that her coming apology was honest.

Aphrodite shook her head. "I can't see you Kuoni. I'm blind." She whispered trying to keep her emotions out of her voice. She kept her head on her knees closing her eyes. It was pointless to have them open since she couldn't see anything.

Tilly watched Kuoni leave, and a bright smile lit her face. Kuoni was going to talk to her parents. Maybe she would stay. Either way, she wouldn't be able to hide on everyone now. Tilly spun around and started tidying up Kuoni's old bed.
Kuoni shoook her head too. "I know that. But I want to see you. And you can see part of me." She whined softly. "I don't want you to think the only reason I'm doing this to make you feel better. I want you to know... I'm really sorry." She lowered her chin to her chest sadly. "I've been fighting you the whole way, and you've been noghting but kind to me. I'm being selfish and stubborn and mean to you." She looked back up and nosed at Aphrodite's arm. "Can you forgive me?"

Aphrodite shook her head and mumbled about not being able to see anything. She did raise her head however but her eyes remained closed. "Of course I can forgive you Kuoni." She said with a sigh, "You're my friend." She still had her eyes closed and put her head on her knees again.

Kuoni tilted her head. What was that??
She sighed when Aphrodite forgave her. "Thank you." She also noticed that the anthro's eyes had not opened when she looked up. "Aphrodite. Why won't you open your eyes? I'm being honest and I want you to see that." 'She think she'll see a lie?' Kuoni thought sadly to herself.

Aphrodite sighed and shook her head sadly. "Because having them open is pointless." She said her voice filled with sadness, "I didn't want to tell you and have you worry about it. My ability hasn't been working lately and I can't see anything... not even emotions."

Kuoni gasped. She couldn't see emotions anymore? 'It's because she was out in the woods for weeks on end looking for you!' She shook her head roughly. No way! ..but... It might be possible. Who knew.
"Do you know why?" She asked cautiously, placing her paw on Aphrodite's shoulder.

Aphrodite shook her head. "No I don't know why. I can only guess." She said sighing, "It might be from straining it while I searched for you and then the cabin my owner lives in or it could be because my emotions are so messed up right now." She paused for moment and shrugged. "It could be from anything."

Kuoni closed her eyes and pulled her paw back. So it probably was her. "I'm sorry." She wanted to run off and hide again, but remembering what had happened after the last time she tried to hide, she instead curled up next to Aphrodite, waiting to see what would happen.

Aphrodite shook her and patted Kuoni on the head when she curled up next to her. "You keep saying that but no one was blaming you. There's no need to apologize." She said with a faint smile, "It's my fault really. I should have rested and stopped using my ability or have better control of my emotions."

'No one was blaming you.' Could it really be true? Kuoni licked at Aphrodite's hand. "You can rest now." She said. "There's no reason to think it won't come back. Right?"

Aphrodite smiled and nodded. "Right. I think it'll come back once I've had some rest and have better control of my emotions." She said turning her head towards Kuoni.

Kuoni smiled when Aphrodite finally "looked" at her and was smiling. "Would you like to rest in the room...?" A small emotional shiver ran down her back. She needed to finish the sentence. "...while I go find daddy and Fiorenza."
