Skip was in awe, and the feeling of it brought him out of Rage form, and he fell to the floor. It was all very pretty. Skip wished he had a bracelet that could make light and mist and stuff come out of it. Well... maybe not a bracelet. That would be kinda gay. But this whole thing seemed like it would end well. Skip couldn't wait to see Emerald again.

'What the ********? It worked! Wow...' Vixen was pulled out of her temporary reverie when the Esper spoke. Oh, it was so sarcastic that thing. At least it was helpful. Speaking of which, Vixen probably needed to tell the Esper what it is she called it for.
"Mmm, yeah. Hey, you want to open this door? Because I can't and neither can Skip, and it's kinda urgent that we get in that room."
She did not mean for the trifle of eagerness show in her voice, but she was pretty sure it was obvious. Maybe the pain was making her less guarded or something. That did not quite matter right now. She just wanted to get into that room.

Spaz rolled his eyes. He thought they had covered this. He turned to Kali and pointed at himself. "Spaz! Spuh-AAAZ!! Not 'Beirdweerd'. You're so crazy."
Looking to the cookie dude, he scratched his head. "Out? Nope. Only know down, and down's no good unless you like dead stuff."

s**t. Kefka had done more damage than Gena had let on to everyone. He only raised an eyebrow. Couldn't let everything show...
"So...how many people...died? What did they look like?"

Luna's spirit light died away for a second...it seemed to be weighing its options. Relucantly, it answered.
...Okay. Let me try. Listen, I don't really feel like coming out right now, so I'm gonna try channeling my magic through you, okay? Since you have no MP...it may hurt a little bit. We're going to use your HP instead. Are you cool with that, or not? Otherwise, I...well...*yawn* I'm still waking up...and it may be another 20 minutes before I come out...
She could even feel the b***h smirk. She was no different free and fighting than she was in submission. Hmph. Was this their savior?

"If you kill me I swear I will haunt your spirit. It would be rather fun, actually."
Vixen stood up straight. She did not really have a choice. Between Skip going beserk again, Ellisent coming back, and the fact that she might lose control of herself, well, there weren't many options to choose from. She did slightly wish that the thing did kill her, by mistake, of course. The thrills spirits must have haunting! Unless they got screwed over and their spirit is stuck inside some inanimate object. That was the worst toture Vixen could think of.
"Whenever you're ready."

Spaz just shrugged. "Like rotten turnips?" He suggested, trying to be helpful. "In cans." He pointed at the stolen armor he wore, failing to find a better way to convey his thoughts. Plopping down on the floor, Spaz began chewing on his toenails.

The bracelet began instructions.
Okay. I'm going to need you to place both hands on the door. Then, I'm going to want anyone near you to run. Far, far away. At least 100 yards away. This is going to get really loud really quickly. Also, Vixen, I want you to plug your ears. Trust me...us Sirens can pick out frequencies that could kill a normal human. You're about to do the same. Now, when all conditions are right, I'm going to want you to brace yourself and give me the signal. Got it? Good.
The light snapped off. She was charging up her power, most likely. This was it. If this failed, they would have to leave the girl behind. Judging by Skip's attachment...that wouldn't be such a good thing.

"Stop with the talking like I'm two I just forgot okay!" She grumbled, crossing her arms and remembering that he had, in fact, told her that his name was Spaz in that exact same way. "stupid..." she said, and the only audible part was, well...nothing. It sounded like a growl or something. "Wait, did you just say dead people?" she looked slightly freaked out. She looked from Brian to Spaz, and remembered that he HAD said that she could very well die. She looked down at the 'floor', then at Spaz, kind of creeped out by the toe-nail chewing and not following anything that he said besides that there were dead people on the bottom floor. What the hell did that have to do with dead turnips in a can? Except the dead thing...
Wait, did he mean he stole the armour he was wearing from them???
She blinked, and stepped back.
"ew..."

Damn. Soldiers. He had killed soldiers already...they may be too late...on the other hand, he could be inside, trapped, waiting to die. Until he was allowed to open his documents, he couldn't tell where the old man would be. ********. To go inside, or out...which one? His heart raced. He could not blow this now. If only he could open the documents...no. That would be breaking protocol. It would put him in a far worse situation that the current one.
Damnit, what to do? Looking around for some heavenly sign (without losing his cool, of course), his eyes found Kali, looking disgustedly at their new Spaz-tastic friend. Of course! She was a bright girl! She had chosen to follow him, after all. She would know! Oh thank God! Turning to her, first with concern, and then with forced composure, he asked her assistance. He would have asked Skip but...well, he seemed to be occupied at the moment.
"Kali. What do we do, here? I'm, uh...well, this is another test! YES. So tell me. What would you do? Go deeper, or find a way out?"
He did not know which answer to root for. It wasn't really his place. ******** decisions. Why did anyone ever have to make decisions, anyways?

Plug her ears and brace her hands against the door. That would be easy. She tore from the bottom of her shirt enough fabric to stuff into her ears. Would that be enough? Who cared! This was exciting. Destruction and death of a steel door. Power flowing through her once more. Ah, yes, the beauty of insanity. Things were finally getting better. She turned to Skip, the fabric still in her hands.
"Hey. Run away. Far, far away. And plug your ears too, for safety. Can't have you dead."
So much for her temper. She put the fabric in her ears and put both hands on the door. It felt a bit funny with no thumbs to grace the cold surface along with its companions. She waited for Skip to go far, far away. Wait, what was the signal? Hmm...Well, it probably did not matter what the signal was, as long as Luna knew that it meant they were ready.
"Ready Skip?"

"Well..." She sat down and crossed her legs, closed her eyes, crossed her arms as well and began to think.
"Considering that we don't know anything about this place going in further doesn't seem too inviting...However we don't know the way out, so that doesn't seem too optimistic either. And we don't know what's out there...And why are you asking me I don't even know what we're supposed to be doing. Personally, I'd like to know before we do anything else." She looked at him expectantly. "And it'd help me to help you."

By the time Vixen asked if Skip was ready, he was already the farthest away he cloud get from the door, parts of his "cape" stuffed into his ear, and his arms thrown over his head, covering his ears. Not knowing whether or not Vixen was asking anything, (as he couldn't hear anything) he shouted at the top of his lungs, "I'M READY VIXEN!!!!!" He then threw himself to the ground, and waited.

He knew she meant the documents. He knew it. Well, she wouldn't get them. Never. They were classified. He just wanted answers, and she was not going to cheat on this one. It was unorthodox! It was stupid! The-the whole universe could turn inside out if they knew their futures without being debriefed! No. He could not risk it. Completely ignoring her (and being a bit of a douchebag), he turned to the still feasting (kind of) Spaz. Hm. Well. He didn't expect a novel, but the man certainly wasn't dumb. Just a little hyper. Clutching his bag, which contained the precious papers, he asked the clawed enigma,
"Uh, Spaz? Yeah, hey. Um...I was wondering...if you were looking for someone you really needed to find...like, really badly...would you search this place, or go outside? Think about it. You seem like a patient, so I'm going to tell you not to let your being cooped up affect your decision, 'kay? Seriously. What do you think we should do?"
God, he hoped this would work.
