hmm..most embarassing mand moment....My junior year our first game was an away game...I actually put in charge of packing the equipment after this...we get to the game and after unloading we discover that SOMEBODY forgot to load on their xylophone...which was used during our drum break. (a very modified version of wipe out...I know I know..too easy...but the crowd LOVES it). SO..as the band president...I was stuck with the job of going over to the other band and asking them if we could borrow their xylophone for our halftime show....thank the good lord above that bands are full of kind people. I tore the poor boy who forgot them completely apart but i was very embarassing.

My most embarrasing moment...
I was putting my flute away one day when the latches snapped my finger. I yelled s**t and got into a lot of trouble stressed
Then at our concert, I was sitting at the edge of the stange and my foot joint fell off and onto the floor. I had to wait until the end of the piece before I could get up, go around the band, go outside, through the side door, and in front of everyone to get my foot piece. It was awful.

Well, i was in a concert where we played 4 really longs broadway songs, and before the concert i came late sweatdrop so i didnt have time to empty my spit valve or any of that stuff. so about the 3rd song through, i start getting that raspy sound eek so i know there's a lot of spit somewhere. so in the middle of the stage, i empty my spit valve and at least 1/3 of a cup of spit come pouring out crying ...then we start the 4th song and i still hear that raspy sound, so i wait until i have like a 20 measure rest (us baritones never play long crying ) then (still on stage) i pull out each slide and at least another 2/3 cup of spit comes out of them all. i came back in fine, and its wasnt raspy anymore biggrin , but there was a puddle of spit running across the stage sweatdrop . since we were the last group, after us everyone (parents and all) comes on stage to congratulate their kids and they dont see all the spit and start trailing it all over the stage... its was sooooo disgusting. redface

Oh god, well something happened to me recently that I find embarassing.
Yesterday morning during Prime Time we were practicing for our concert for next week. During one of the songs there's a trumpet solo that me and Douglas (another trumpet player who is one chair lower than me) play as a duet. Well, the 1st chair trumpet player (who actually sucks and I have no idea how she got a higher chair than me) wasn't there. So Mr. Campbell called out to Douglas and told him "Ok, now I only want Melinda to play the trumpet solos in this song alone." My mouth gaped and I stared at him like, You could've warned me earlier!! Well, of course everyone turned around to look at me and giggle as I tried to play my solos without laughing from their retarded looks. Even Nathan, the 1st chair french horn player, looked at me, tried not to smile, and shook his head. My hands were shaking because this was my first time playing a solo without Douglas as my sympathy player. After a while I called down, held my trumpet high with proud and played wonderful. Everyone looked at me for a while.

This happened on Friday...
We have two 6th grade band periods. Third and second period. Well, third period got to practise with second because our concert is coming up. I was sitting next to my friend, and she was wearing purfume. It made me sneeze right into my flute >.< The BD started laughing at me and couldn't stop. I will never live that down stressed

Well, I haven't had too many, but I do recall this one time.... we were playing this slow song in rehearsal, and we were getting to this really gorgeous part where I had a soli with another section. In the middle of it, I let out a large beautiful long squeak. The entire band started laughing, and we had to stop the song entirely. I was red for the rest of the day.

I think it was my freshman year, i had/have these REALLY worn jeans than have no knees in them and are almost shorts. Well one day i wore these to school and as i was walking into the band room my band director (who is scary) started staring at me. I was a little creeped out so i stopped (the entire band was there) he looked at em and said "Ashley, if i give you two dollars will you go buy the rest of those pants?" i just turned red and said "maybe" That was two years ago and i still have people who remeber that. Though now every time i ware those jeans i think of that day.

We have a concert comming up, so now we're in the auditorium practicing. Well, for some reason this makes me totally nervous, and I forget to make sure all of my keys are working and everything (I play the sax, and my d sharp and g sharp keys like to stick) So we're playing this really melodic song (As summer was just begining, if anyone's heard of it) and there's this part where alto 2 really needs to play out, and the other one wasn't there, so I'm going fine until.. whoops! G sharp isn't playing. It made the MOST god-awful sound ever... there goes my future in solos.

My most embaressing band moment?
===This isn't me but it happened to one of my best friednds so...you get it===
I was walking with my tuba and talking to my friend at fesival when a trumpet player stopped walking. My friend didn't see him so his tuba hit him right the leg. The guy tripped and fell on my other friend (the most awsomest trumpet player ever)and ............kissed him redface not on the lips but still everyone that saw was like eek eek eek This included judges and people from another band. I was mortified and aperently so was my friend, both of them. xp

Symphonic band at my school played that song for our spring concert(back in March)I only got to play for 12/72 measures. Piccolo is so unrecognized in that song crying Mm, my embarassing moment happened today. Well, everyday during band, if we haven't started playing songs or anything, I just let the stand stay low as possible because I have all the warm ups memorized. Well, we're right about to play the music, and as usual, I pull my stand up. The thing flies up in the air and tilts to the right, almost pulling me with it. I just kinda sat there for a second and then hurriedly tried to reattach it to the rest of the stand. It almost fell off a second time but I managed to fix it.
