You may try and strike me if you wish. I fear you will find your way blocked, and not just by my companion in the tree. I am not foolish enough to take my pacifism to my grave. You will simply not be given the chance to strike. I do not wish to fight you, and I dont even particularly wish to defend against you for the next few weeks until you've had enough. Please simply cease this profitless chase now. Or does your employer hold something over you that means we shall HAVE to meet in combat?
*Rune stood calmly by his spear, making no move to touch the weapon. His hands formed a loose circle in front of his chest, a small cirlce of light shining brighty around the embedded tip of the spear before it faded and Rune's hands once more dropped unthreateningly t his sides.*

nai mearly smiled down at kenki and waved slightly as rune mentioned her. her staff lay resting on her lap with both hands on top of it. a relaxed position, but one that she could easily pick up her staff and cast a quick spell to slow him down and follow up with a stronger spell.

For a minute, Kenki just stared at Rune, before lowering his right hand, and straightening his posture.
"Fine. I cant take the life of such a pacifist."
With that he turned, though only took a step before stopping again.
"And no one holds anything over me. There is no collateral for me."
He then swiftly bounded off and entered the village.

nai watches him run off and she slips off the treebranch, slowly floating down a little, coming to rest next to the tree, her feet just a little higher then rune's head
"okay, now it may just be me, but that just seemed way, WAY too easy"

*Rune breathed out slowly and gently picked up his spear, running his fingers over the markings on the shaft*
When neither party has personal gain, a fight is usually avoidable. If, as he says, he is not beholden to his employer, I do not think he will persue us with ill intent any further. However I do not believe we have seen the last of him either. Maybe one day we shall become friends and I will learn the truth behind the matter. Until then, will you accompany me to go and get some supplies? The easiest way back out into the wilderness will require sme amount of climbing and rope always makes that easier.

"yeah, we'll probibly see him again. hopefuly he's not one of those 'i'll never miss a target as long as i live' assassins. if so, then we might have problems down the road"
nai slowly decended so she was only a foot off the ground and held her hand out for rune to take. she shrugs slightly
"your call, but with me around you probibly wont need it. common, i know a shortcut"

*Rune nodded and gripped his spear tighty in his tail, then took Nairikas hand*

*Meanwhile, in town, Yoh led Sadia to a cool spot under a tree and sat eating his ice cream with her. After a few minutes Yang came zipping back and Yoh visibly relaxed*

Sadia had been licking up the ice cream little by little, unlike normal children would, Sadia was intelegent, she always turned the cone around and licked up the side that was about to tip over and fall onto the ground. Sadia had licked it up until it was at the cone, which felt like a cookie, so Sadia started to chizzle off the side of the cone with some bits of ice cream to that as well until she had finally eaten everything till she was literally licking the ice cream off of her fingers.

nai gripped rune's hand and closed her eyes. the shadows below them began to swirl unnaturaly until the formed a large swirling mass of blackness below them. the shadows seemed to curl up their legs and pull them in, eleloping them in blackness before pulling them all the way in and the shadows disappearing behind them
behind the village a similer portal of blackness formed and they rose from the blackness, dripping black ooze from their bodys
"here we are"

:: Lamia scanned the area ever so slowly with her golden eyes, her wings flapped silently, not making an iota of sound. She began lowering herself, as the power spikes became stronger, She didnt want to be seen, not yet. She could hear noises and curiously she began searching more, it was hard to pinpoint the exact place. ::
"Where the hell is it coming from..."
:: She dropped to the ground and withdrew her katana. The cold steel weilding to her hand quickly. She placed the sword towards the ground and walked without a sound through the forest. She came to a small clearing and then buildings, row after row of them. A small village..? She then heard voices and dashed behind a nearby building, her heart was heavy with anticipation. She wanted to dash out and just possibly crash the party. No. She had to be smart. Had to keep control of her urges. ::
:: She then heard a voice, a voice so familiar to her. Her eyes teared up and she rubbed them away quickly. She couldnt get emotional. Not now. She stepped out to see Nairika. If her heart were alive, it would have beat heavily on her ribcage::

nai had been concintrating too much on rune and transporting herself, and rune to the villiage. she didnt even realize there was a familliar aura coming toward her. she tapped her staff to the ground as the ooze disappeared back into the shadows on the ground
she looked around for a moment and thought she saw a familiar face. she thought she was mistaken, but took another look and realized that in fact, she wasnt mistaken. lamia stood before her now, staring at her.
nai was stunned, staring at the woman that made her what she was to that day. her eyes traveled down and she saw the sword in her hand. her eyes snapped back up as she put it together in her head. lamia wasnt searching for her, she was hunting her.
nai took a couple steps back and took a tight grip on her staff, pulling it into a defencive ready positon
"s...stay away....dont come near me!"

Sadia kept sat down under the tree for a good bit of time, lifting her feet up and dropping them as a way of amusing herself as they waited. After she got plentiful bored with that, she looked around at the sky, then she looked around at Yoh, and she asked him,
"Where's Rune?"

:: Lamia glanced down, following Nai's gaze. She was slightly surprised that her very own blood would react to her like this. She looked up, her eyes misting with tears and slowly drew the sword up, to put it away. Sheathing the sword, she shook her head. ::
"Nai,...I want you back.. please.. come back to me."
:: She could feel her dead heart aching. She needed her. She didnt want her, she NEEDED her. She stepped slowly, inching forward so as not to startle Nai into running. ::
"Please... come home with me Nai.. we have much to discuss...I am your creator.."
:: She put her hands up in the air, as if saying Im not here to hurt you, or to fight. she hoped beyond hope that Nai could feel the aching that Lamia felt at that very moment. Her comrade... she missed that.::

nai shook her head quickly, inching back every bit lamia came forward.
"come back?...w..why? you need me for something....dont you?....all you cared about was yourself...you never wanted me around....never wanted me to help.....you didnt want me by your side...you wanted me far behind and away...."
she closed her eyes, tears stinging her eyes again. she tightened her grip on her staff, but then remembered the man's words about her coming back to kill lamia and she loosened her grip. she could feel her own dead muscle in her chest aching, but not from lamia's pain, but the pain of feeling betrayed all her life. she couldnt feel lamia at all like she could before, and lamia couldnt feel nai

*Rune looked at Nairika in worried confusion, peering at the new woman Nai apparently knew*
Nairika? Whats going on?
*Seeing Nai's defensive position, Rune took his spear into his hands, though he made no move to use it*
Who is this 'woman'?
*At the same time on the edge of the village, Yoh's pointy ears pricked up*
I dont know Sadia, but I think we should go and find him
