they werent really based on him more like on how he is going to die or desmonds new magical powers.

charlie is such a great character, but mostly when i watch him i think of merry (the hobbit he played in Lord of the Rings)

I like Charlie. He's so cute! xd
He's like an innocent guy (except about the drugs thing), but can be dark at times. He's also caring, especially to Claire. They're a match.
I like his accent. It makes him more interesting.

When I saw last night's episode, I started crying-- both when I briefly thought he might die, and when he didn't. There's no way they can kill him off now. He's gonna be around next season... why else would they add a new complication, him being held at gunpoint by a bunch of people in a supposedly evacuated Dharma station? They HAVE to explain it, and they can't do that without Charlie. (I heart him so much!!!!) Oh, and xxspawnerxx, you're not being very nice.

actually Naomi said they became even more famous than what they were because of his believed death. now its more fact because is truly dead.

and i thought of something. charlie had a dream about people telling him to take care of Aaron. his mother is the one who actually said it to him in the dream.

now, in symbolism it is said that if you have a dream or vision of a dead person telling you to take care of someone else it means that you either have to put your life on the line for them or die for them.

charlie died to take care of Aaron and Claire.
