Yumi's head snapped up, tears streaming down her face, and she turned to see Jesper standing at the top of the bank. She quickly scrammbled to her feet and ran clumsily towards him, knowing instantly something was on, and still feeling terrified of the storm. She climbed up the dune and wrapped her arms around his middle, collapsing to her knees. She sobbed loudly, tugging on his shirt. All she wanted was to feel safe, but she wanted to protect him too.

Satoshi ruffled up Violet's hair. "Yeah, 'course you weren't worried." He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "He turned to Richard. "Well, me and my old man jus' got back from our holiday, so yeah, I decided to come back." He said, smirking as he looked up at the dark clouds in the sky.

"Ah. Seems like you had a good holiday then." Richard peered up at the dark sky as the rain began to fall. "We should get going. We can talk in the car on the way to Violet's place...unless you want to be dropped home, Satoshi?" He guided Violet by the shoulders towards the car so that she wouldn't get wet any further.

Violet walked round the car with Richard, half in and half out of her seat she leaned out of the car door adding,
"Your welcome to hang out at my place for a bit? Pizza and a movie or something?" she grinned then moved back into her seat. As she sat waiting she shook her hair out of her hood. It was longer then when she had left, now ending near the small of her back.

"Ooo that sounds tempting." Satoshi smirked. "I'm sure ya both want to be left alone though." He said, winking at Richard. "Anyway, i think I'll go for a walk or somethin' to clear my head." He said, looking out into the ocean as he sighed.

Violet looked at Satoshi, a slender eyebrow raised,
"A walk in the rain?" she questioned, getting out of the car again. Standing by Richard she frowned for a moment at his head, as if daring any bruises to appear. Looking back around she smiled,
"Well its your choice i guess, me and Angel here will eat pizza watch moives on our own then," she replied, sticking out her tounge childishly.

"You mean you never like to go frolicking in the rain?" Satoshi joked. "Heh, you're missin' out!" He said, smirking as he reached out and put his hand on the roof of Richards car, leaning on it.

An eyebrow raised in question of Satoshi's suggestion. "You sure you want to be walking around when there's a storm coming? It can't be safe." He glanced at Violet, ignoring what she might think of what Satoshi had said. "Talk some sense into him, please."

She grinned at Richard, shrugging her shoulders she said,
"Well, we could always tackle him and force him in the car, you know like that movie," she suggested. She knew Satoshi was just playing around, but she still thought of a way to get even with him. Shaking her head she turned to Satoshi.
"Walking in the rain is great yeah, but this is going to turn much worse, so get your big butt in the car!" she ordered, yelling a little to be heard over the falling rain. She wasn't being too serious when she yelled but she was getting worried again, you could tell because her grey eyes seemed wider then usual.

Richard opened the car door and grabbed Satoshi by the waist, opening the back door with his free hand. "The princess commands and I must do her bidding," he declared with a broad smile. He tossed the boy into the backseat and slammed the backdoor. Too bad for Satoshi the backdoors could never open from the inside. Richard grinned widely at Violet as he climbed back in and retsarted the car. "Where shall we take our hostage m'lady? To the castle? Our steed seems to be in proper order now and waits for your next command." It took he had not to chuckle openly as he rolled up his window and switched the wipers on.

Violet tried to stifle her own giggles and did a half bow in her seat.
"Indeed good sir, the castle awaits..not to mention the fact that if i'm not home in the next twenty minutes the guy who pays the castles bill's is going to have a fit," still shaking in silent laughter she strapped on her seat belt.

"Onwards!" and with that, he stepped on the gas pedal, causing the car to lurch forward to their destination. "Twenty minutes, you say? Give me ten!" He pressed down on the pedal a bit harder and the car skated through the roads. "Your father you won't mind me staying for the night, will he? I mean, he's not going to run me out with slipper in hand, is he?"

Violet shook her head, smiling at the image of her father chasing Richard out of the house.
"I'm sure he'll be fine with it, though your going to have to put up with some annoying questions." she replied. As she spoke to him her eyes strayed to the speed dial. She wished they hadn't. Violets slender fingers were soon gripping the seat.

"I think I can deal with those." He spun the steering wheel suddenly, skidding around a corner in the empty streets. So much everything seemed like it changed in this town...yet some element of it was still familiar. He passed by a house that had been boarded since he could remember...he would sneak in there sometimes and found a stray dog with a litter of puppies. He wondered if they had lived to adulthood, probably wondering the streets now. He would probably look at the house tomorrow....
Seeing Violet's house, he slowed down a bit and pulled up to the front, the passenger door closer to the building so that she would be less wet.
"Your abode, m'lady." He went around and opened the door for her before opening the door for their 'prision', Satoshi. Richard smirked at him, knowing he had no choice now but to come inside, unless he really planned on walking all the way back to the beach.

Violet pulled up her hood before she stepped out of the car. Leaping out she grinned,
"Thanks Angel, come o you two, quicker we get inside the better," she called then ran to open the door to the house. It was locked. Sighing She reached under the mat where a spare key was kept and opened the door. On the table by the door was a note
'Gone to visit Frank and see his new t.v, apparently great for sports channels. be back late, love Dad'
Smiling softly Violet turned to the others, waving them inside.
"Dads gone out, so its just gonna be us for a while" she explained.
