The maid seemed to wince at his words as Hayharu spun round abruptly and simply stared at him through her long lashes. Unfortunately, he had unbeknowingly insulted her through words that were meant to have been received as a compliment, but how was he to know how much she toiled over her appearance every day...only to be told that it was a waste of time.
For a time, she simply stood in silence, her lips parted in an apparent loss for words before she backed away and furrowed her brow through hurt. Still silent, she gave a bow and with not even a word to her maid she disappeared into one of the alleyways to leave the poor child to stand in the presence of Koniryu, a look of discomfort written upon her childish face.
"Forgive Hayaharu-san..." She began as her gaze followed the direction of the young Geisha who had now disappeared from view, "Words that seem nice to one, may indirectly hurt another." She paused and gazed down at one of the tiny white lilies from the geisha's hair before picking it up, "For example, telling somebody that they look better without makeup when they have spent over four hours preparing themselves is not a wise thing to do." She extended her hands with the white lily towards him, her gaze almost knowing.
"But coming to understand them can heal any rift." She finished and pursed her lips.

His lips pressed into a flat line as Hayaharu stared at him and he realized than yet again, he had said the wrong thing. Looking tired himself, he ran a hand over his face as she disappeared and rubbed at his ear. Tiring. Simply damn tiring. This was why he didn't deal with people. He always told Akiya that he always said things that never a: should be said or b: be recieved well. Not looking after where Hayaharu had disappeared to because he was just tired of this for one night, he looked down the road before him for a moment.
"Tis not wise to spend four hours doing something like that anyway." His voice sounded tired and annoyed. It was raining and the wind wasn't exactly a kind thing. He wasn't at home where he wanted to be but instead seemed to be trailing after a rather touchy Geisha. "To me, a natural beauty is more lovely than any amount of make up.. even from a Geisha." He knew that they had to look good to make the most amount of money... but he liked to be honest. He felt that her natural skin tone was better than looking white. "Tis no reason to ask for forgiveness..." He was so tired now.
Catching the maid extending something towards him, he looked over at the flower for a moment, not sure if he should take it or not. Oho, he saw how it was. So he would have to cater to this female and fix her mended pride? How tiresome.. so tiresome. But he knew what Reika and Akiya would say if he didn't apologize, though he doubted she'd forgive him period anyway. Rubbing at his face again, he sighed a bit and took it. "If ye say so..."

"You are not very good with words sir," The maid smiled as the lily was taken from her and placed her hands together, she seemed to care little for the rain battering against her child-like cheeks, "It seems you speak most kindly when you cannot be heard, had you said that to her then perhaps she would have understood you." Her smile grew and she turned her gaze back towards the alleyway the Geisha had hurried down.
"Sometimes it's so hard to express oneself in the right words, but trying again never hurt anybody - Mother always said they brought greater rewards if they did." She lowered her head to watch her feet as she backed away and gave a delicate laugh, one that was almost sad in quality, it was only then that she looked up once more.
"And more understanding, I'm sure that understanding is something you dearly want as well...?" She gave a small bow and fell silent once more, although her eyes remained trained on the lil in his hands.

A self-mocking smile came to his lips as he snickered. "Aye.. tis a skill I find myself sorely lacking upon..." A look of sadness crossed his face before he banished it. "I'm used to only saying things when no one can hear me... old habits are always the worst to break... and the hardest. Perhaps I should have said that.. yet she didn't give me a chance to say that much, now did she..."
Looking down at the child like maid, he nodded. "Yer mother was wise... tis a good thing to follow such sage advise..." He fell silent when she said that understanding was something he wanted.. because it was. To him, he wished there were more people who understood him in the world... "Can ye lead me to where she may have gone? Tis not good to wander about alone in the rain like this..."

"I don't intrude on Hayaharu's business." The maid murmured and bowed her head to hide a wry smile, she was well aware that she had intruded in this instance but it was necessary, "She went towards the trade district closest to the casino if that helps..." She was only assuming this much as the geisha had darted off in this direction but she was well aware that Hayaharu always walked straight so that people could find her if she stormed off - she was thoughtful enough for that.
"I hope that helps." The maid offered and gave another bow before glancing towards another alleyway that evidently led to their new residence, it seemed she wanted to prepare for the return of the geisha and thus she promptly excused herself.
"Goodluck." She added as she glanced round and gave a wave before breaking into a jog towards the alleyway and the appropriate doorway...The only thing Koni could do was take the route she had suggested it seemed.

A brow raised when she said she didn't intrude, since this isntant could be taken as such but he only nodded and smiled faintly at her. "Thank ye for yer assistance... I'll find her and apologize to her properly..." Nodding towards her as she wished him luck and headed off, he carefully slid off Arkli, since he didn't wish to have him going through alleyways and asked him to wait for him as he headed off.
Lets try out this apologizing thing, shall we? Pushing his way through the alleyway, he constantly looked back at the pack to make sure it wasn't banging up against anything. Last thing he wanted to do was frighten Reika and Yue. Once he was positive they were safe, he allowed his eyes to scan ahead of him, hoping he would see the Geisha.

The Geisha wasn't actually that hard to find, in fact her azure blue kimono stood out well in the lights of the street lamps as they battled to stay standing against the rather brutal winds. Nevertheless, she appeared to have halted near one of the corners and was peeking around it towards the area closest to the crumbled Gambino mansion.
So deep was her concentration on whatever she was watching, that she failed to notice any other event that might have transgressed around her, including the appearance of another being...
What she was seeing however, was none other than Aversham with his gaze fixed upon the rather familiar form. The scene that the Geisha watched looked strangely comfortable and peaceful, the apparent rogue and Elysian in deep conversation with the other...however many would have found it hard to discern how this was possible.
This could be said, as the being speaking with Aversham would have been wholely recognisable to most. Her emerald plumed hat and velvet cloak against the green and white bustier were hard to mistake - what was even harder to mistake was the Crest of Ali'ance clasped at the corner of her cloak.
The being was none other than Cordelia Ali'ance...

Seeing her kimono, he realized that she was just ahead and he slowed down his own annoying battle with the wind. Holy, it was strong today! Normally, such a thing never bothered him.. but times have changed. Noticing how she didn't seem to be moving at all, but looking over at something, he looked a bit baffled before he caught up to her and looked around the corner.
The first thing that he took notice of was Aversham. His colors were unmistakable and a slight frown appeared on his face. What was he doing here? Wait.. why did he care? But it appeared that he was spaking to someone and he peered a bit more closely, while making sure he didn't do anything to startle Hayaharu.. though perhaps warning was a good thing, he felt she would not exactly be pleased with his presence.. But he lightly brush his arm against hers to warn her.
His attention was caught by the woman he was talking to. That woman... he had seen her before! At first, it took a bit to recall just where and his brows drew together in a deeper frown. He was so deep in thought, he didn't notice that Reika had managed to poke her head out of her pack til she squeeked and ducked again because the wind nearly knocked her out. That woman was the one who had killed the other one! He wasn't familiar with names and though he had heard them, he didn't retain them since he had never met them face to face. Why on earth was he speaking to her?
Braving the wind again, which was now blocked since Koni had shifted so she didn't get blown away, she saw Aversham and smiled. Oooh there he was! She wanted to talk to him! But the wind was so loud, he wouldn't hear her.. the thought made her pout.

The touch of his arm against her's did startled her, in fact she clapped a hand to her mouth to restrain a squeak as she turned her head to gaze abruptly towards Koni - it only took her a few moments to assess the situation and with an unappreciative hiss she grabbed both ends of his shirt collar and dragged him out of direct view, he seemed to have forgotten that his antlers gave him away a little more than a woman with soggy and waxen hair.
"What are you doing here?" She hissed, her nose dangrously close to his own now that she was entirely distracted from the pair close to the casino doors, "Don't you know it's rude to creep up behind people?" She continued, seeming to forget herself and her manners as she held him in place before she at last released him and puffed out her cheeks in an attempt to control her temper.
It was only upon realisation that both rogue and Elysian had departed that her cheeks puffed out again and she gave a stomp of her feet - another few moments of consideration and she realised that it was really pointless to get angry, she hadn't been able to hear a word they had said anyway!

The squeak caused his ears to swivel in her direction and he then looked at her in bafflement. Well then, that hadn't worked either. He still had startled her. The hiss made him frown but the yank caused his eyes to widen before he was yanked out of the way. Actually, he did tend to forget that his antlers did stick out a bit. It was easy to forget they were there when one carried them around one's entire life.
"What am I doin--? I'm here to apologize to ye! What else do ye think I'd be wandering about in the rain for in a filthy alleyway!?" Keeping his voice down, he hissed back, not about to be cowed by her. "Tis also rude to just stare and walk away from someone before they could finish their thoughts as well!" His eyes narrowed a bit more at her huffiness, looking down pointed at her hands on his shirt collar before she did let go of him and he straightened his outfit. "After some good advise, I realize that.. I should have told ye my thoughts behind my statement.. but ye left before I could do so.. I didn't mean to offend ye if I had.. I just find a natural beauty more attractive on a person.. even on a being like a Geisha.." There, he said it.. he let his air out in a huff. This apologizing business was damn hard.
Seeing that there wasn't anyone there anymore, he frowned before he looked at her. "I'm sorry? Were ye lookin' for them?"

She would have offered him a rather offensive retort in reply but considering what he had just said in relation to her appearance, her demeanor had calmed and she seemed to be considering a much more suitable response to his questions as opposed to being completely and utterly out of order as she had done (though she wouldn't admit it).
It took her a few moments, but after a while she simply shook her head and fixed her gaze on his hand, was he holding one of her hair ornaments? She seemed to blush furiously at this and quickly counted up those within her hand before the realisation hit her that she had lost one - he was touching her hair ornament! Her hair ornament! A breath caught in her chest and after what seemed like a life time she pointed towards the lily in his hand.
"You shouldn't be holding that." She murmured softly, choosing to ignore his previous question...at the moment she didn't want to sound too vain and confessing that she hadn't desired to let the pair near the casino see her would only prove she could be vain!

Glad to see that she was calming down, he relaxed his tense shoulders a bit before he paused to wipe his free hand over his face to try to clear the water from it. Bleh, he was not going to be happy later on about this... Even though he had no idea why she wanted to spy on Aversham and Cordelia whats-her-last-name, cause he was not good with last names either until he had written them down. He was wondering why aversham was talking to the woman anyway, but he still had plans to make him roast chicken for no more reason other than he could.
He didn't realize that it was a hair ornament. He thought it was something that she had dropped and her maid had picked up and gave back to him. He never gave much thought to such things. Probably because he never wore them and he wasn't female. Seeing her blush baffled him but when she spoke, a brow jacked up. Was it going to explode or something?! "Oh.. forgive me then. Yer maid handed it to me and I assumed I was meant to give it back to ye..."

"Oh I bet she did," Hayaharu muttered vaguely as she stood beneath the alcove of a doorway to shelter herself ever so slightly from the bad weather, even with this attempt she still managed to become rather soaked and soon resembled a drowned rat - still, her anger had apparently diminished and she seemed mildly bemused by his naivity in relation to her hair ornament...alas this was neither the time or place to bestow that information upon him.
"You look most uncomfortable Koniryu-san." The Geisha observed as she came forward to take the hair ornament and very gently brushed some of the water away from his cheek, "Perhaps you would like to accompany me to more suitable accomodation, that way you can dry off and enjoy delightful company?" She smiled demurely at this comment and refrained from shaking her head as she awaited the response.

"Pardon?" But he just watched as she tried to shelter herself and he smirked faintly. She looked about as unhappy about being out in the rain like this as much as he was, but least she didn't feel angry anymore. But since he only knew bits and pieces about Geisha, not everything because it wasn't like every custon of these beings were ever plainly written out, he wouldn't know there was anything special abot the ornament other than what it was. An ornament.
"Rain and meself dinnae tend to get along much... wet fur tis nay pleasant..." It made him thankful that his body was covered for the most part and his cloak was thick enough to repel and good portion of the rain from the rest of his body. Or else he'd be more irritated with the weather than he was now. But he nearly took a step back when she touched his cheek like that.. such forward attentions, well he considered them forward, always made him long to get away from it. "I'm sure we can find some place more comfortable then this alleyway... mayhap I can have Arkli show us where yer maid went off to. I think she went to wherever ye were trying to get to..." Delightful? He hoped he wouldn't mess up in his speech and say anything to make her huffy again. But he wouldn't say that. Thankfully.

She would have found his reaction mildly offensive if she had not grown accustomed to his otherwise reclusive nature. Nevertheless, she did find the offer to be a pleasant one and gave a nod of acceptance towards him, it would be nice to reach her residence safely and perhaps this time round she would remember where it was! Her danna had not been particularly good at giving directions to her at all.
"That would be nice, I am sure that Chu has prepared at least some form of welcome." She smiled and with another nod she came ever so slightly closer and waited for him to lead the way - if anything she would now be sufficiently more careful in regards to any action she made towards him from now on - apparently even to give the slightest touch made him flinch!
