While all this chaos was going on, Delta sat calmly from a distance and observed. It wasn't that she was bitter about the attention being diverted from her (amazingly), but rather she wasn't going to risk life and limb just to go ga-ga over another gryphon. She was much too sophisticated for that sort of thing. People would move soon enough anyway, and then she'd see what the fuss was about. This also gave her time to survey the Aerandir she had not yet met. The only one she recognized was Tsukai. The orange-black-creamy-whitish kid looked familar, but she couldn't quite place it.

Syrenrei took this time to sneak off to the food table by herself. She liked people, but didn't much like crowds... and if she stepped on someone's toe trying to see the new gryphon, she could never forgive herself.

Nehanda yawned again, and climbed down from Foenix's arms. There was that pretty blue gryphon again. She hadn't had much chance to talk to her. She approached Delta again, but became nervous as she came closer to the stranger. Sticking a finger in her mouth, she tugged absently upon the corner of her dish-towel-turned-cape. "Hi, 'gain. I wike youwr bwue feathews. Dey're weally pwetty."

Delta blinked a few times. Well, the girl didn't have her schooling in etiquette, but then again, no one she had met really seemed to. And the girl gave her compliments *plus* wore that really cool clothes-thing. That cancelled out any envy that Delta might have at Nehanda for being a child while she was still a lowly gryphon. Motioning to the crowd she looked up at the girl.

"Keeee-aaa?" Maybe Nehanda had seen what all the ruckus was about.

((Bah. Sorry about vanishing. I've had in-laws in and out all day, and we had dinner guests, so I had to cook dinner. Plus, I just adopted two kittens, and one was sick all day . . .))

Nehanda reached out tentatively. "Can I pet you? Youwr feathews wook weally soft." She waited for the gryphon's response, because Foenix had taught her never to touch anything -or anyone!- without express permission.

She looked over her shoulder at the gathering of humans. "I tink anoder gwyphon just got out of its jawr. Dat's weally excitin'. I wike having oder gwyphons awound, 'specially when dey'r nice, and dey wike to pway. Do you wike to pway?"

She wanted to ask the gryphon's name, but knew that she couldn't possibly understand the answer. Maybe Foenix knew?

Phwar... there was a lot of commotion. Pueblo had glanced up to it - but then noticed there were quite a few people there already. She put a hand on her head to make sure Tsukai was still there before running back to Kiro and pulling on his wrist insistantly. "Keeo...! Wassat...?!"

Kiro smiled, glancing across. "I think there's just been a gryphon formed." He turned to Pueblo. "I bet you were like that once too, huh?"

"Uhh..." She paused, looking a tad confused. Maybe she had been... who knew? Mommy would know!! When mommy came back, she'd ask her.

"We'll not bother her right now," Kiro decided, mostly musing to himself. He didn't think he had any reason to rush in and take point, he didn't even know the girl's name. And, above all else, it'd be rude. He turned back to Pueblo. "Weren't you looking for those coins?"

"Oh yeah!!" Grinning again, the little girl renewed her hunt. It was then that Kiro thought he saw something sparkle, half hidden in the grass. The same instant Kiro saw it, Tsukai also set into motion, his wings fluttering as he kamikaze dived from Pueblo's head, coming to land right next to the shiney thing, and began digging at it, his little paws swiping back little sprays of dirt in the short grass. Pueblo quickly noticed the smaller Aerandir had spotted something and rushed over to help, scooping up Tsukai, the shiney thing (that turned out to be a coin) and a large handful of grass and loose dirt as she did so.

"I gots one!! I gots one!!"

Kiro grinned a little as he crouched down to Pueblo's level and she held her hands out gleefully. "Wow, you guys are good at this aren't you?" He held out a hand for Tsukai to hop onto, and the little creature scuttled up his arm and sat again on the boy's shoulder. Kiro took the coin, letting Pueblo shake the dirt from her hands. "Want me to look after it?" He smiled as she nodded and Tsu peeped agreeably, slipping it into his pocket.

These two were really something...

((bah, sorry about vanishing. I was swept off to camp for the day @.@))

With a twitch of her tail at the bable of kunkunese Sanar blinked her dark eyes open. Pinning Progolo and Yaraif with a curious look before ruffling her wings and making a pleased yet slightly surprised noise when she concluded that the large beings were still here along with a new, smaller being that was making interesting noises.

Chao smiled and chuckled, how does one explain where an Aerandir come from? "Er, well, San here just came from a jar containing two artifacts," she said, givng the newly awake again gryphon a fond smile, "she was just born, thus her lack of energy."

Delta nodded at Nehanda's first question. Of course she could enjoy the soft feel of her beautiful feathers. It was practically a form of worship... not that she really needed any more flattery. XD At Nehanda's second question she just tilted her head. Play? Was that what she did with Lucius? She doubted it, but she considered obliging the girl anyway. As long as it didn't make her fretfully dirty. Delta patiently eyed the girl waiting for more of an explanation of what "play" meant.

((Sorry for the delay, Absinthium.))

This time Anthony wasn't present at the "birth". Being on the other side of the camp he hadn't head the tinkling of glass or even the exited gasps of the crowd. The little ball within the glass wriggled about, seeming to dodge towards nearby gryphons and children and back as if seeking company. It finally slowed, becoming a vaguely quadrapedal shape. From the "head" portion down it became a solid creature.

Colours blazed and wriggled forming a brightly patterned gryphon.

((Oh, how cute!))

Upon receiving permission, Nehanda burried her fingers in the feathers on Delta's neck. The gryphon's was much like her own had been, so she instinctively knew all of the best places to pet, rub, stroke, and scratch. And yes, Delta's plumage was just as soft and pleasant as she had imagined.

She looked around her. She hadn't brought any of her toys with her, so that took a lot of her favorite games out of the picture. "Um . . . we could pway chase, or hide an' seek, I guess. Does you have any games you wike? You could show me, and I wearn pwetty well. Fweenix says I do."

((It's so cute! biggrin ))

Jizzy head truned from Sanar back to where she believed the glowing orb to be, but saw only the new gryphon. She bounced slightly in place due to exitement.

"It's adorable!"

She exclaimed, not able to contain herself.

"Born...?" Progolo began faintly, as another calamity broke out a short distance away. His attention snapped in that direction, just in time to see a vibrant glow transform into a vultu--no, some kind of spotted dog--no...

..Both?

He stared. Yaraif, for once, was at a loss for words as well.

"Um...is that what you meant by 'born'?" Progolo questioned, motioning in the general direction of the commotion.

Chao cranned her head around, trying to get a better look at the newest gryphon without actually moving.

"Wow! I wonder if that's False?" she mused aloud, mind struggling to recall the contents of the jars that she knew of.

Sanar finally twitched from her sitting posistion, craning her long neck to see, hoofed feet digging gently into Chao's lap. With a click of frustration she sprung up into a standing posistion then up and, with a slight nudge from Chao, managed to get up onto the teen's shoulder. From that new vantage point she was just able to see what the people were clamoring about and clicked excitedly.

A new creature! Like her, but not.

"Mhm, yes, more or less that's what I meant," Chao said with a grin, turning back to Progolo and Yaraif, making a mental note to go and congratulate the duo later.

"False, honey?" Abbey, maternal instincts taking over, cradled False. A stunned expression remained on her face, but she seemed to be recovering relatively well.

The very first thing False did was sneeze, and Abbey blinked. However, the creature chose to remain curled in Abbey's arms. Apparently, being born was a rather tiring experience. Apart from that, the gryphon seemed very much intact. Abbey paused for a moment, assuring herself of her charge's health before looking over at Keilin (and where was Chao?), desperate to get out of the spotlight, "So, last time I checked, we were going to get some food?"

Jizzy gazed amazingly at False. Already a second birth, it was amazing.. SHe pushed up her shades in the glare of the sun to allow her to get a better look and sifted positions slightly. At the shift of position she heard a small clink of glass and she gasped. She tore her bag open to reveal the blue floating orb among the remains of the jar.

Progolo flinched ever so slightly as the creature in Chao's lap began to wriggle around. He didn't like sudden movements. Of course, with Yaraif around, one would have thought he'd be used to it.

"Mhm, yes, more or less that's what I meant,"

"Interesting," Progolo said simply, carefully storing this information away for later use. He was examining Sanar again, admiring her silky fur and feathers.

Yaraif was not one for just watching. She fluttered a little closer, intrigued, and held out a tiny bluish hand.

"Yariaf..." Progolo began warningly, but Yaraif had already began stroking the little Gryphon's ear, cooing lovingly to her.
