Streamjumper Another thing to keep in mind is (assuming that you aren't already) to keep both your summoned undead and a spell-summoned critter out there if possible. The more stuff you have summoned to tank for you, the better. Then you can sit back and blast the hordes rushing at you. That's what I've been doing, but there's a good chance that if something slaughters anyone else in the party, my summon-zombie (the ghoul from Summon Undead sucks) and familiar bat are probably out too. gonk And even if not.. everything moves too damn fast. I can't get the spells out. So! Where does one purchase a sequencer? surprised

I can't get the spells out. So! Where does one purchase a sequencer? surprised The easiest place is the equipment salesman in the smithy in North Shore. But the sequencer only helps with defensive spells. Have you set your main offensive spells to your hotkeys? This way you let your minions slow the enemy for a few moments while you target and cast your spell. Also keep where you're fighting in mind when you select your spells. Fighting single, large targets? Buff up your minion and unload single target spells like magic missile and the like. If it is something of serious physical strength, open the volley with something like Ray of Enfeeblement to drain its strength. Large groups? Unload with area damage spells like fireball, scintilating sphere, cone of cold, and the other variety of group wreckage spells that mages specialize in. I'd be able to give more advice, but I tend to specialize more in divine spellcasting, which involves doing things that would kill an arcane caster rather quickly. My style involves buffing the hell outta myself and my dire bear, then following him to close range where I unleash a few Hammer of the Gods' to soften up the horde, drop an Invisibility Purge to knock any of those pesky spellcasters outta concealment, and smack em around with my flail... Though any strong undead get a savage railing from my Searing Beam... And I now have Slay Living, so any pesky mages pinging me with damage spells are gonna have to get ready to make a fortitude save.

Once that one gets up a few levels, she should make a fine meatshield.
My bear summon is usually a lot more useful than my cleric. Cleric is just Bear's travel agent and personal assistant. :also-emo:

But in your case the ones you should have on you are Cat's Grace, Fox's Cunning, and Endurance... Your pet should have Endurance, Mage Armor, and Bull's Strength, in that order. The rest of your slots should be all about nuking.

Skizzors NEW GUY. Grug K'thak -- barbarian, ugly as piss, probably Blackguard eventually Nice. Are you going one hand weapon and shield, or working your strength for all it is worth with a two-hander? And how are you liking pure combat? As for me, I made 14th level... fighter1/cleric13... I must say that 7th circle cleric spells are kinda disappointing.

Its a one-hander so you can keep your shieldy goodness and does 1d10 damage with a crit range of 19-20. If you grab Increased Crit for it at level 9, then you'll be doing double damage roughly every fifth hit.

(I've got 2 points for crafting in both weapons and armor, but I don't know how often I'll do it..) When does Cleave show up as a feat?
