*sigh*
I know how hard it is to make a life for yourself these days, especially if you're from another country - specifically countries that might not be as well off as this one (US, that is). Why in the hell would someone who is also from another country want to make it hard for another immigrant? D:
My rant today is not about me - it's about my friend, Hicham. He works at a gas/service station from 1pm until 1am, 7 DAYS A WEEK. Normally, this would not be cause for much alarm, since it's his choice to do it. Hicham gets home at 2 am, tries to sleep, and gets up for class again at 5 or 6 am - most of the time. He's late a lot because of this, and after class, has to go right back to work.
However, I've recently learned that it's because of his boss, not him. His employer has 2, maybe three employees, all working incredibly awful hours. He's got only a few employees to cover the shifts at a 24 hour service station, and he's working these poor men to death. His boss doesn't let him take days off, and if he needs a day off, he has to pay someone to do it out of his own pocket. not only that, he has to find this person HIMSELF! scream
This boss does NOT pay overtime, refuses to hire other employees, and has him doing just about any job that needs to be done, including vehicle inspections and oil changes, and all of this at
$9.50 per hour.
I am disgusted that people will take advantage of others this way, and I am saddened to know that Hicham has very few options left to him. He brings home only about $600 a week or so (which is crazy, considering all he does), and he sends money to Morocco for his parents every month, so he can't just quit, he needs another job.
Why can't people just treat each other nicely?? Why do some people have to be such assholes, especially to people like him! stressed

My moan is something that most people would consider a gift. I consider it really, REALLY sad.
I started watching a movie, and it took me nearly 3 minutes to realise I was watching it in Japanese.
I was like: Damn, I wanted to watch the dub!" ...I taste like blackberries.

He sent a friend request, I clicked "Decide Later" and then sat down, thinking MAYBE he'd want to get to know me. Sat in silence for a good minute 'n a half... watched him wander around the square. Then I got up and left... and he didn't even try to follow me.
I mean, if I wanted to randomly be somebody's friend... I'd try and GET TO KNOW THEM. *sigh*

Yeah, I hate when that happens. I, on the other hand, get a bunch of idiots getting to know me on towns, becoming my friends and never talking to me again.

Kiss me... yup yup, 'tis me again, with yet another complaint... You must be sick of me by now. xD
WHY ARE PEOPLE SUCH BITCHES?!
I ordered something on a shop I'd used before, and the next day I got informed of a change made about 3 seconds after I posted.
So, I apologized and said that to avoid confusion, they should change something...
and then the owner bitched on about how I should read posts properly! I said I HAD read it, THREE TIMES and how I don't see how I should read it EVERY time I come to their bloody shop! (but not in those words). And said that I would read EVERY WORD of a shop's front page EVERY time I went to one from now on.
I'll never go THERE again, but I still think she was a real b***h to go on like that. I've deleted it from my subscribed threads and she can say whatever the ******** she likes about me, I don't give a damn because I won't read it anyway.
I probably wouldn't care about this normally, but I had a long, hard day and I'm TIRED.

Aww.. I know what you mean. If you'd been there before, she should have at least remembered you and been a little kinder to you about the change. Rudeness doesn't get you repeat customers. xP

This one girl was really demanding about her banner(I have a banner shop) and she wanted EXACTLY this, and it had to be EXACTLY this size. I did my best, but it wasn't good enough... and then she asked for a moving banner, which I can't do.
So I told her that if she wanted moving she should take business elsewhere... stupid I know, but I was tired, I'd been trying to do her banner for 3 hours or so, and she was really starting to annoy me...
and I think I'll save my "ARGH I don't know how much more of this I can take before I bash their heads together and hope to knock some sense into her' bitching for another day... heart ...Sakura is stuck playing matchmaker.

It's so hard to say 'no' to people when you have a shop - that's why my shop is closed. I may never re-open it. But that wasn't stupid - she was overly demanding for a little shop on Gaia. It's one thing to change the rules in the middle of someone posting, and then get mad if they haven't followed them. That's rude, especially when you don't take the time to appreciate the circumstance.
It's quite another thing when an extremely demanding customer comes and tries to wreck your mood by being pissy about things. stressed

I feel like s**t. Seriously, it's so hard being a mom. crying
My daughter went to the movies with her friend, and her friend's cousin? sister? whatever... The girl's mom took them. But also with them were three boys. Now, first of all, I'm NOT okay with someone else taking my daughter out on group dates without talking to me about it first. That's not cool.
But besides that, my daughter came home upset because the other two girls were making out the whole time with the two boys they came with, so my daughter was miserable (because my child just don't get down like that) the entire time.
So now I have to decide whether I want her hanging around with that girl, and whether it's okay for her to spend the night over there. They have a big house, with 2 separate living areas, and it's understandably hard for her mother to monitor them all the time. I know her mother is a good person, but she's a lot more lax about teenage behavior, apparently, and I don't imagine us seeing eye to eye on that.
Meanwhile, my daughter is now upset because I told her she couldn't spend the night last night, or tonight. I told her it was a direct result of not only the incident at the theater, but the fact that I wasn't told about it until yesterday. She did, happily mention it to my mother, though, which was a good thing. But I didn't know anything about what happened until 4 days after.
Anyway, I told her she couldn't spend the night last night, because if things like that were going on with the girl's mother there, then I don't feel like she'll be safe, since either the woman was completely clueless, or she just didn't care. So my daughter's upset and whatnot, and that's fine; she's disappointed, and has a right to be. I would be too.
But now what? Is she going to not tell me things now, because she thinks I overreacted? Am I going to have to drag things out of her from now on?
Gah! Parenting is hard enough without my kids being teenagers! 5 more years of this agony! gonk

crying I am so alone. I had this whole ting I wanted to type here, but I can't even think about it long enough to even get it out. I can't even see the monitor through the crying. I just want to go to sleep and not wake up. I hate feeling like this, and I don't even know why I am, or how to make it go away. It's not fair!

I'll be okay, I guess. I feel... weird. Like weird things are happening inside me, and in my head. I don't usually talk about it, because you know, why invite other people along on my descent into utter madness, right? But then sometimes, I have to let it out. D:

anyway, my whine for today:
my throat hurts... last time I ever go to Emmy's house... >.<
I wasn't aware that I would be left in charge (ie: stuck babysitting 7 hyperactive 11-year-olds) when Ash had to leave for work. In fact, I wasn't aware that Ash HAD work on a Sunday. >.< Next year I think I'll be ill on Emmy's birthday.
And I didn't even get PAID. It was hell, I had to tell bed time stories, stay up until 2 in the morning doing so, and they wouldn't even listen to me when I was yelling at them to stop shrieking, stop trying to kill each other, stop annoying the cats, stop putting each other into baskets, tidy up because the house was CLEAN that morning (which is rare), try and avoid spilling their food and breaking their plates, come OUT from under Ash's bed AND FOR GOD'S SAKE SHUT UP BECAUSE I CAN'T HEAR THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF THE TELEPHONE!
AND it took 4 hours on a train either way to get there/back home ...Love isn't love until you give it away.
