Kiba sighed in his mind, wishing that would have turned the other off from dancing. He looked at Shikamaru and relized he really did have to look up to look at te other. That insulted him slightly.

Shikamaru frowned as he looked down at 'Kita'. "Are you okay? You seem to be...upset about something." Did I do something and not realize it? He dropped his hands from 'her' waist, unsure of what the problem was.

Kiba looked up again and shook his head. "Ah! No! You didn't do anything Kumo. I just didn't reliaze that you were taller then me until now." He looked down, flustered. "I was just...a little annoyed at myself, that's all."

Shikamaru gave a sigh of relief and put his hands back on Kitas waist. "I thought it was something more...serious for a moment." He gave her a smiled and pulled her a bit closer. "You know you shouldn't worry about such silly things as that. You can't change what you were born with, but you can make the best of it."

Disturbing Tale Teller Haku gave another short nod and followed obediantly. Upon arrival, he looked around, blinking at the room. It seemed different with people in it, as he'd explored the area, before. Or... that could be the still-lightheadedness he had even after sitting for a bit and taking a drink of water. His head turned and he looked over to the bunny-boy once more, a slight smirk appearing on his lips. He wasn't contious of it, however, as he'd forgotten that the current mask he was wearing showed his lips to the world.

Kiba nodded and looked down again, this time his eyes focusing on 'Kumo's' hands. He half wondered how long it would take him to figure out that he didn't really have a girl's hips. Hopefully not til after he kisses me...wait! What?! Kiba's eyes grew wide and his face flushed slightly. What the hell is that about, Kiba?! One it's a guy! Two that was such a girly thing to say! And three you don't even know who it is! Get that thought out of your head this minute! Even as he thought this the shorter boy looked up through his mask to the taller's lips and what he could see of his face. He does look like he would be a good kisser though... Kiba reliazed he thought this half longingly.

((I was just getting around to that whee ))
As Shikamaru danced with Kita, he began to realize something. This girl has muscle...like mine. Then again, I've met strong women before, like Temari and Tsunade-sama. He looked at the part of her face he could see and her arms. I wonder if....never mind, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that I'm actually enjoying myself. When a faster song came on he took a step back but kept his hands on Kitas waist. "I need some air, care to join me outside for a moment?"
I wonder what that kid is smiling about? Zaku thought as he looked over at Haku. He must still be feeling the effects of the alcohol I put in the punch. He looked back at Hinata, a bit surprised she still seemed unaffected. "Sorry if my dancing is bad, I've only done it a few times before."
"Oh, you're fine, um Ryu-kun." Hinata said with a smile. "I would not be doing so well if my sister hadn't been making me practice. She's actually the reason why I'm here. She said that since she couldn't go that I had to come and have fun for her." she giggled and leaned on Zaku a little more, acting very unlike herself. "I think I need to take a bit of a break and get another drink." Zaku nodded and led her out of the ballroom and into the dining room.

Kiba nodded and lead the other to the door outside. When he opened the door and stepped outside a wave of cool air wased over him and made him feel slightly better. The doors led out to a graden that had little posts that held up some kind of light. Maybe candles of some kind? Kiba wasn't sure. He also wasn't sure why he was acting so unlike himself. He had never been this quiet.

Shikamaru took a deep breath of the fresh air and let it out with a sigh. "Beautiful night, huh?" He asked as he stared up at the stars. "I know a place where there's a great view of Konoha. Maybe I can show it to you sometime?"

Kiba grinned. "Sounds great. But you might not see me again after tonight. At least not as this person. This person is gonna go away after tonight." He leaned on a railing and looked out at a pond and at the moonlight reflecting it it.

"I think it will be that way for a lot of people." Shikamaru said after he realized what she meant. He moved a bit closer to her, a little nervous as he's never really had much interest in someone. "Maybe I'll make it so you don't disappear after this, so we can see each other again." Shikamaru reached his hand out and tilted 'Kitas' face up and kissed her.

Kiba kissed him back and was slightly suprised that he had been right. Kumo was a good kisser. When the kiss ended Kiba looked away."But, Kita really will be going away after tonight..." He said firmly.

He nodded. "I can understand that. I'd hate to have to wear a dress all the time too." I don't think it will matter if he knows that I know he's not a woman. Shikamaru thought and smiled. I'm rather surprised I don't even care that I kissed a guy. Oh well, more options for me.

Which is why I'm never wearing one again." Kiba huffed. "I told sis it wouldn't work! I can't act like a ******** girl! And I don't have the same type of body!" Kiba had stopped using his girl vice but forgotten to change it to some other. "I am going to kill her when I get home."

Shikamaru put his hands on him again and leaned closer. "It's still a nice body though." Heh, I have a feeling I know who this is now. I thought it a bit odd that Kiba would miss a party. I'm pretty sure he hasn't figured out who I am yet, though. "Family is there to annoy and bother us. Even when not at home, they find a way to do it."
