As the grenade flew toward the now open-air front window of the Audi, Legart did something almost entirely unexpected. He popped the hood. Now most would wonder at the reasoning behind this, believing that Legart may, in fact, have gone mad. This was not true, for any doubts were instantly expelled when he slammed the stick out of reverse and gunned the engine. The hood flew up just as the grenade was moving over it, slapping the explosive harmlessly high overhead and removing any vestige of control the whistler had over it. It blew up harmlessly in the air as Legart slumped weakly against the steering wheel and their erstwhile opponents made a not-so-quick get away.
Growling, Tien looked accusingly at his tattoo and removed the marble, replacing it with his new one and feeling a sudden burst of renewed strength accompanied by the knowledge of what he'd just done. So be it just so long as he finished this. Reaching back, he grabbed Tokai's dasher marble from its place in his shirt pocket and switched his own out, giving the magnet to Tokai should he desire to use it and hauling Legart out of the drivers position before replacing him. He put on the seatbelt. He was going to need it.
Reaching forward to punch the hood back down into place, he listened for the securing snap and gunned the engine to make chase.

"Yeah..." James said, nodding to everyone on his team (including the dog).
"Transform and roll out! Let's get this show on the road. BLITZKRIEG!"
And they went to the Beachfront Properties.

Well, one down...and only a bit more to go. St. Williams wasn't in a pleasant mood, but things could be worse. The stick was still dragging in the dirt behind her. She looked around, glancing at her watch.
It was almost time.

Ah, there it was. St. Williams hoisted the briefcase over her shoulder and stepped lively. She had places to be after all.

BEACHFRONT >> BEACH
RAIF, the dog, and the hostage whizzed down the boardwalk in a stolen convertible. The people that had gathered around the waterfront to stare at the pillar of green light shooting into the sky over Barton Fountain scattered as the vehicle tore across the waterfront at speeds over 100 miles per hour.
With a screech of the tires indicative of the rubber they were burning, four streaks of black rubber were left on the pavement as the car went into a drift as it turned onto the Ferry.
