Eileen switched back to English at this point. "...ha" another sweatdrop. "This one is easier to explain in this language. Mecha is short for Mechanical" Her voice climbed back to comfortable-to-listen-to-without-straining-yourself-slightly levels.

"But when we talk about it, we mean machine-armor. The normal Gaian way to say it is... giant robot. But that's silly, because it's not a robot." She nodded to herself, and started picking up a little speed in her voice. Obviously this was a topic she liked. "Robots move on their own. Mecha are like fifty foot tall suits of armor that you control from the inside." She detached her jPhone from its side clip, and touched the screen, flitting by lots of different pictures before settling on a picture of a cyan and gold VA-6 Mothra Monster valkyrie fighter in battloid mode. Perched on its shoulder, barely a spec on the screen, was a person waving. She turned the phone vertical, and the image enlarged to fit the new screen dimensions. "Hai. Like this one."

Eileen nodded to herself proudly.

The man's jaw dropped at the sight of the picture, especially when he realized the speck was supposed to be a Person. If that... was it... could it? To scale? Not just some construction model or drawing?

It looked so real.

His hand reached out towards the screen, to run his fingers over the image, as though he could reach through the screen and feel the mecha.

Eileen giggled a little as the image shifted at his touch, flitting along to varying images of various ASDF crewmen, then to more mecha, then to anime screenshots. "The screen responds to touch, so if you move your fingers back the other way, you can see the VA-6 again."

"Such a... curious electric book..." he murmured. It was so small, so tiny. That was nearly impossible in itself. And the clarity, and the color. Even the 'controls'... he quickly tried tapping on it, spinning his fingers around in spirals, just about anything he could think of to see just what images they would bring up. Perhaps even movies?

Eileen's single biggest category on the jPhone was the music section, and the moment Isoroku stumbled across it, FLOW's "Go!!!" began blaring through the DJ headphones wrapped around her neck. Eileen smiled and started bobbing her head just the littlest bit to the music, though she reached down and dialed the volume back after a second. "...ah gomen, you found my music. this one's a little too loud for tea."

Music? It was hardly music. Not even Barbarians listened to such foul noises.

He frowned sharply at the "Music", and looked back down to his tea.

"I can only presume our culture failed," he whispered to himself. Those barbarians must have won. Somehow. Trickery? Betrayal? It was nearly impossible to believe. It would have been, if not for the words of some who predicted as such.

Eileen hurriedly switched the music over to something calmer. This one was marked Last EXILE (Hitomi) - Over The Sky. She kept the volume down, so only the occasional string strumming and the wispy singing could be heard, then she too returned to her tea. That was better. After a little bit, she began fidgeting with the silver bracelet on her arm. It had metal wings sprouting equidistantly from each other, and one small stone suspended from a light chain. Within each wing was a round depression...and within the green depression, what must be Eileen's marble rested, also a green color. It wasn't a perfect fit, but the catches on the side seemed to hold the sphere nicely enough.

She gazed at it a moment, tapped it with her fingernail, then sighed.

"...ano..." she glanced up at the samurai. "please forgive me. i never gave you my name. Patterson Airin-desu." The name was given the way the Japanese would pronounce it. "...ano... i told everyone i was here to help. i think lyendi is here for the same reason....do you want to join together?" She blushed a bit and lowered her head further, and turned it into a bow.

How forward and uncouth. Manners surely were lacking in this strange world, weren't they. Women making requests of men, on top of all the other insanities this place seemed to have bred.

He finally looked back up, frown still on his face. What was the gesture? He nodded, yes, nodded, towards Miss Patterson.

"I will, join..." he swallowed down the word, hardly able to admit it to himself. To become the follower of some barbarian. On a quest for his honor. And he wasn't even leading it.

Eileen nodded back, then sighed. "...hai. Then we should sleep now, so that we're able to fight tomorrow..." It was her officer's tone, one Lyendi might have a chance of knowing as her, "no one else is saying it, so I have to"-voice...though honestly, even this tone was more suggestion than statement or order.

The girl got up, collecting Sentaku and her teacup, then after putting the cup away properly, found a relatively comfortable piece of floor, and curled up there, her face facing the wall. Hugging Sentaku close to her, she worried for Kenosha and Nida. She didn't know if they still lived, and if they did for how long...but there was a terrible threat to Gaia in front of her, and she had no way to get to them at the moment.

((OOC This is pose out whee Gotta get some semblance of sleep xd ))

((Sleep is for the weak. And I hope I didn't team with weak people. wink ))

Ikari frowned, and his first instict was to bark back at this woman who had dared to give him an order. Had he the chance, he would have cracked her right across the face, and taught her her place in the world.

But, sadly, he could see the wisdom of her words. No amount of tea would ready him for combat without at least a little sleep. And if they were to fight evil and the dishonorable, the would need every ounce of strength.

With a gruff grunt, he crossed to the other side of the room, setting himself to be sitting up against the wall, legs brought up close to his chest as he started to doze off.

Eileen, Isoroku, and Lyendi set off from the Headquarters as soon as they received their Marks. Eileen's had found its way into her right pointer finger's tip, and she quietly whined about it and nursed it for a good five minutes. "...it burns us...precioussss..." she mumble-pouted as she sucked on her finger lightly.

-Event after tea and gone to sleep-

This wasn't Lyendi's first time sleeping on the floor but for some reason it sure seemed a whole lot harder than any floor she's slept on. Eileen informed her that Isoroku, the man with the pistol and sword who didn't like Lyendi, had joined them in a team in order to carry out some sort of "mission of justice". It all sounded strange what with the pillar of light, ending up in Durem and this red and white marble in her hand but Lyendi had to accomplish this in order to continue their original mission.

The three then were informed of how these peculiar marbles worked in which Lyendi had to receive a mark and for the marble to be placed in the center. Lyendi's mark was placed on the chest area above her left breast, the slight burning sensation made her shudder.

[Ahead On Our Way]

Team G-Force, named by a particularly elated Eileen ("Hey guys! I came up with a great name for us! We're now the G-Force!") left the headquarters in an easterly direction. It seemed like a good way to go, since Durem was the west-most city in the nation of Gaia.

And so they left for Gaia University

Stepping out the front door of the small, non-descript building, Brody itched at the back of his hand. Not that the mark really itched, and one would think after having so many tattooes, that one more wouldn't be a cause of discomfort, but it was akward. He hadn't ever gone into piercings, as he liked to avoid as many holes as possible, and this seemed just a level below. Looking down at the tattoo circling the blue and white marble, he decided to try ignoring it. Looking around for a short moment, he turned towards the clock tower, no where better to go.

Turning to shout good-bye to whoever might still be in the building, he hit the sidewalk at a good pace, southerly, towards the Clock Tower.
