Koiichi took in the leg for a moment, his eyes thoughtful as they rested on the injured limb.. he wasnt entirely sure that he could do anything to help this obviously younger individual... but it seemed inately wrong to leave him here to fend for himself. Nature... some would say. BUt Dragons themselves were above most forms of nature, and it seemed to him that despite the fact that the fittest should survive. It seemed cruel to simply abandon somone to his fate... He was snapped out of his thoughts however as the other male spoke again. It took him a few moments to work out what he was talking about.. to work out what might or might not be heavy.. Finally he follwed the others gaze past his arm and to his wings, one of which he shifted slightly, looking thoughtful. "I suppose they might be." He stated in the same quiet, low tone as before. "But I think I am probably so used to them by now that I hardly notice them any more.." He smiled a very small smile. "As I suppose you are used to your own tail..?" He didnt mind the others inquisitive gaze... he rather supposed there were not too many dragons around here to be seen.

The equine tilted his head ever so slightly, curiously, flicking his tail absently, "That' very true I suppose.. Silly question.." He mumbled a little, carefully resting his foot once again as he relaxed a little more in he presence of the dragon. He took a deep breath, "I live with a dragon in a way.. I've alway been curious but he's so grumpy I've never plucked up the courage to try and talk to him let alone ask him anything.. It's good to see that not all dragons are like him.. Or maybe you're the exception to some sort of rule..?" He wondered aloud, peeking at him curiously again.

Koiichi shook his head slowly in responce to the equines final question, "No, I am no exception, as with everything there are many variations among dragons, some are big, some small, some nice, some mean.. some that waver in between.. its the way of nature to be diverse.." he looked over his shoudler at the lake for a moment longer. He did like the lake. "This dragon that live with you is probably simply a bad soul, you shoud stay away from him I feel, as bad dragons have the tendency to be very very bad.." he nodded slowly again before his eyes wandered back down to Briar's leg. "I dont honestly think a walk was such a good idea with your leg in this condition.." he said somberly. "How do you plan to get home..? And Do you live far?" It was strange to find himself asking so many questions, he usually tended towards the quiet side of things, especially around people he didnt know. But he wasnt mean spirited, and he had the distict feeling that a prolonged silence would upset the little equine that he now found himself keeping companny with.

Briar nodded slowly, his eyes widening slightly, "Really really bad?" He was worried, was Maurus a danger to them all really? "He is pretty nasty, but the head of the house tends to keep him in check physically sometimes.. But sometimes the dragon comes off best.. What do you think we should do..?" He leant forward a little, his tail high in worry his fingernails curling intot he thick fabric of his strappy trousers. "And.. Oh.." He paused again, smiling. He was quite happy to have silence.. He liked it really so long as it wasn't one of those long awkward ones. He didn't mind talking either so long as people didn't want him to raise his voice, "My friend carried me out here so I could get some fresh air from our house, "He gestured to a well worn track leading into the woods, "It's along that way.. But I think he forgot about me.." He ghosted a sigh, dipping his head briefly, "But then he does get easily distracted, so I'm not that surprised.."

Koiichi swayed his long lizard like tail back and forth once, his wings lifting and then dropping again almost absently. "Well, I dont know him.. So I cant honestly say what he's like. Most of us, regardless of how black our souls may have become will only attack when provoked, so as long as you leave his possessions be he should be of little danger to you.. no dragon is safe if you anger him.. even the smallest younger can breath a hot flame.." he smiled slightly "Many of us just maintain a longer fuse than others." he stepped closer to the equine again, lifting a hand to push some of his own dark grey hair back from his face as he did so. "You look fairly light.. perhapse.." he paused, as if almost having second thoughts "Perhaps I could help you home? It wouldnt seem right to leave you standing here, no matter how fine the weather.."

The equine nodded, a thoughtful expression on his features as he listened carefully to his words, "True.. He only get outwardly angry at people who try and touch him.." He smiled, "That's why we never do it!" he gently rubbed his own nose, feeling a little tickle starting there before he tensed ever so slightly at the dragon aproached him that little bit more. He laughed a little nervously, "Here I go again.. You seem like such a nice person, but I can't help getting all worried already.. It's so silly!" He took a few deep breaths as he made light of his situation, his eyes resting on Koiichi's tail for a long lingering moment.. Were those scales warm..? "Under any other circumstances I wouldn't let you carry me anywhere.. But I really do have no other means of getting home short of dragging myself there.. My friends tease me about my weight.. I don't think I'm very heavy." He shifted a little on the rock, teasing himself almost, "I wouldn't ask you to strain yourself over me of course.."

Koiichi straightened again, still looking dfown at Briar. "Well, in all honesty i wouldnt usually offer.." he stated, "And dont fret, your behaviour is only natural, though you may be a long way up the food chain you would still be a meal to somone who wanted one badly enough.." he shrugegd slightly, "So dont worry so much." he let his hands rest by his side, his tail falling to drape on the floor limply behind him. "I dont think you'll be too cumbersome, I'm strong enough.." he stated with a small nod. he wasnt arrogent, he was just confident. That was how he was at the end of the day.

Brair continued to gaze up at the dragon, the thoughtful little expression remaining on his features a while longer. "I'd.. I'd like to take you up on that offer then.. Well, so long as it doesn't inconvenience you too much.." He nodded the smile that started to ghost over his features stopping suddenly at the mention of meals.. He tensed and shuddered, remembering with horrible vividness the moment that the panda had caught him.. He stilled quite suddenly, his arms still outstretched for the time being as he fought the natural urge to tuck himself up and become as small as possible.. The dargon surely wouldn't eat him, would he..? "I'm too trusting.." Again a mumble.

"I wont hurt you." Koiichi said quietly, moving to life the small equine from the floor and settling his carefully in his arms. "I rarely eat, and when I do I prefer food that I dont have to kill myself, I've grown rather lazy in my old age I suppose.." he smiled again. "So you can rest easy for now.." he shifted Briar a little. "I am Koiichi, by the way.. I dont believe we exchanged names yet.. rather rude of me I must say.. but.." he shrugged slightly, before remembering he probably shouldnt jostle his passenger. He was usually quiet around people, he didnt like sudden movements himself, so it only seemed right to treat other people with the same respect. "It was that way, no..?" he queried, gesturing at the path Briar had pointed out earlier, "And dont woryr, you're hardly any weight at all, carrying you will be no problem, I have very little else to be doing with my time anyway.."

The equine remained still while the dragon scooped him up and settled him comfortably in his arms, he couldn't help wondering just how strong the dragon really was. "I trust you not to.." Briar managed at last with a soft smile as he hesitently reached up to curl one arm around the dragons neck and the other comfortably over his shoulder, shifting just a little closer to the dragons chest. "Koiichi.." He murmured, flicking his tail a little, hoping that it wasn't going to get in the way, or that the dragon had tucked the long hair up as well when he had lifted him. "My name is Briar.." He didn't think he really needed to give his second name, what use would it be, afterall? He nodded his head in answer to Koiichi's question about the whereabouts of his home, "Yes that way.." He nuzzled gently against him, marvelling at the warmth the dragon exuded, and with an excited little squirm he shifted just a little further up the strong chest the reach down to stroke his fingertips over the curve of those strong scaled wings, giving a little gasp of wonderment.

Koiichi grunted slightly as the equine moved in his arms, but seemd content enough to let the smaller male climb over him a little to reach his wings, which he carefully lifted up for him, just to make it a little easier. The dragon seemed content just to walk towards the small equines home after that, but couldnt help a small smile at the little gasp that came form his aquaintance. "You're a curious little thing.. arent you..?" he said with a smile. "Would you like me to set you down so you can look at them properly..? I dont really mind.." He carried on walking for now though, still slightly amazed by how light the little equine was. "I Can see also why it was no effort for your friend to carry you out here." he shifted the equine a little more once again, just to try and make him more comfortable to hold. He was generally rather warm it had to be said but he had enjoyed some basking this morning.

The equine did appreciate being moved up, and he twisted himself just a little, always mindful of his injuries so that he could run his fingers over the dragons wings once again. They really were fascinating, Maurus would never let him touch his own and he was just as curious now to see if his were like Koiichi's, he really couldn't contain the little noises of wonder he kept making. He blushed just a little when Koiichi commented about his curiosity, and was thankful that he could easily hide against the dragons warm broad shoulder, where he nuzzled briefly before resting his chin atop the shoulder instead. "It's okay thank you.." The soft spoken goth started again, "I'd probably stub my toe or something silly. I'm so used to wearing big thick boots.. And besides," He leant his head against the side of Koiichis neck and face, "I've got the best, most interesting view from up here! And you're so nice and warm as well.." He did appreciate the dragons warmth, the clothes he chose to wear weren't all that good at keeping in the heat.

"I dont really wear shoes all the time.." he stated, looking down at his feet, they were covered inteh same dark scaling as his arms were, they looked like normal feet by the toes had claws.. slightly strange, but it never really occured to him to think of it that way. "I have to cut the claws right back if I have to.." he smiled slightly. "And Dragn claws are a lot tougher then you would think.." He nodded slightly, a little bemused by the equines snuggling again him, but he decided not to think about it too much. He didnt really understand people, he figured that this was probably normal. He was far more used to the times when people had a great deal more personal space. It didnt bother him personally though. Briar was a lot less offencive to him than a large number of other people he had met. He was in no hurry realy now to off load the little Equine back at his house, and he partly wondered if there anywhere esle the other male would like to go. "Do you wish to go straight home..?" He asked inexplicably, because obviously his thought process had been private. "I wouldnt mind taking you somewhere else if you would like to.." It was strange for him to enjoy spending his time with somone, but Briar really didnt worry him at all..

Briar giggled just a little at that, his tail swishing a little in amusement, opening his eyes again after a very small snuggle against the dragons neck, warming his nose. "Yes, I can imagone you would have to! Otherwise you'd make holes in your socks.. Or your boots wouldn't fit.. Or if your claws are as strong as I'd assume they are.. Make holes in.. Your boots..?" He looked up at the dragons face through his eyelashes and hair, a very little smile still playing over his pale features. He still hand a hand resting now near the base of one of the strong black scaled wings protruding from the dragons back, and he let himself become slightly distracted by the scales again while the dragon fell quiet once more. He couldn't help marvelling at the feel of those scales, smooth and rough, they looked cool to the touch but felt as warm as they could naturally be. He was truely fascinated by him, and he was so unlike the only other dragin he had met. "Home..?" He looked just a little confused for a moment when the dragon spoke up again, assuming he had drifted off into his own little world while he had been thinking, "I'm sorry, Koiichi.." He looked down a little, apologeticly, "I didn't catch what you were saying.." his fingers twitched a little, "I can't really think of anywhere I'd like to go though, I haven't lived here for very long yet."

Koiichi, for the first time in his long years of life, had to admit that he had actually found somthing slightly adoreable.. or rather very adoreable.. more to the point. He'd not expected to think that the equine was rather cute.. but the little look he had shot at him, up from under those amazingly long dark lashes.. they made his eyes look rather gentle he thought... he had to shake his head.. he didnt need thoughts like that. He was supposed to be aloof from silly little whims such as that. But those eyes were very dark... and the way his lips curved. No. Bad Dragon. "Oh.. Dont worry yourself.." He said with a small smile, "I was just wondering if you needed to go anywhere.. you know.." he shook his head, "I cant really suggest anywhere myself.."
