After a few paused moments, Ayame sighed. It was a futile thought, wasn't it? She wondered if Rae could be thinking the same too, how they were all eventually doomed. But no! These weren't the thoughts to be thought. ZHer voice became soft again, as she replied again Rae's statement. "Truly though, i hate to admit. I am scared." Her voice was softer than before, "It can't really be helped, can it?" She sighed. She was thankful for the calm breeze running through her silver hair, otherwise, she would have felt quite stressed. "I fear for Houka. For everyone." She looked away then back at Rae, forcing a smile, "Oh, i'm not making too much sense anymore, am i? Just, ignore all that." She forced a laugh as well.

Tairon said to Tolly, "I have no price, nor should I ever ask one of you for matters such as these. However, I agree with the other two, while it is most definately my fault, you must calm down. You are the leader of this resistance, and if you are going personal vendettas, the war will most definately be lost. Many have already died, you know that. I will do what I can to find your family, however, if I cannot find anything at all, then that's what I'll tell you. If I die, then you'll get nothing at all. When I return, you may do whatever you wish with me." He turned, and left the church. He had carried all he brought into the town with him, and he left with all he had as well. His sister would be fine, and he would find Lord Toleranth's Family.
((Can I make a thread for this? It'd keep from the action being diverted every time I posted as Tai.))

(well it would be pointless for Tairon to go, since Alhana has made it quite clear the Wyverns have rescused Tolly's children. So he would be leaving for nothing. So it would be best if he stuck around.)
"I'm through discussing it Alhana, but let me make one last thing clear. If my people ever got into a war on their own, then the gods better show favor to the innocent as the heavens fall down upon my enemies. Now without any further interuption i half to get back soon, and we still must stop to pick up Tairon's sister. As to my children, they can be dropped off at the castle of Inthe, from there I can bring them to the base, and if those wyverns are without cover to return tot he whole I'll arrange quarters for them as well."

A glimmering distuarbanc began to swirl and fluctuate, tearing open to reveal a tall woman in a white gown that was offset by her inky black hair.
At the moment she was peering over her shoulder, speaking to someone standing out of the frame. "Don't you think this is just a bit ostentatious Órelindë? I mean..." erm... Your majesty....?
The startled woman whirled around rather sheepishly. "Forgive me your lordship. For intruding on your.... Meeting?" She cast a questioning glance towards the others in the room.
"I am Queen Ellianthe of Aelethia, and I think you and I may be able to help each other." Her pale features were schooled into an emotionless expression, but her musical voice conveyed the urgency of her message.
"Lord Toleranth, and friends this is a plea for your aide. The potion dumped into your waters is filtering into mine. Aelethia is an island kingdom so I'm sure you can understand the cataclysmic scale of my issue. This is a slaughter. My people are predominantly of magical descent and this potion is rapidly ripping through their numbers with brutal efficiancy."
A glassy tear rolled down her cheek. " I have had my seers in every district looking for the source of such an evil concoction. "
She straitened, and her voice took on a formal note, she seemed to speak with the voice of many and her words took on the lilting accent of ages past.
"When mine eyes did fix upon that scaberous citadel that doth sit upon the surface of thine kingdome. My heart was filled with a hate unlike any other I have ever experienced. My heart is heavy with sorrow for I have seen both futures. The time hath come for my people to step in and return this ancient power unto thee."
She emerged from her trance unruffled, and gently stroked something in her lap. "I hold in my lap a very dangerous power. Long removed from the world of mortals, and entrusted to the harpies by the ancients themselves. Now I offer it to you. Taking full responsibility for the trouble that it will doubtlessly cause, but also accepting that it may be our only hope against the demons that plague us."
She gave him a hard look. "I will intrust it to you Lord Toleranth, but I warn you, it may only be opened by its guardian. One pure of body and soul. Should any other than its true guardian open this box the sorrows will be unleashed on the world and the damage they will wreak will put even the demon lord to shame."
Ellianthe held up in one hand an elegantly carved, and bejewled box. In the other, a tiny golden key.
"A gift from the winged folk, may it serve thee well." Despite The Queens obviously insubstantial image, the box she presented was real enough, and filled the room with an unshakeable icy dread.
"Oh by the way Toleranth? My armsmen are at your immediate disposal. They wait at the entrance to your hideout. Should you need me merely ask one of them, for our race are all connected in mind and spirit. I do pray that thou should ask for me only under the direst circumstances for reaching across this vast distance tires me greatly. Do you have any other questions?"

Vrinn hit his face with his palm. He was trying to figure out what was going on, but also why no one was reacting to him just appearing. That man who was helping him in Domachi even walked right by him without noticing. What was going on? Let's try talking again.
"Hey! Do I not exist or something? Why doesn't anyone react to my entrance? I assume this is some important meeting or something? Shouldn't you be telling me to get out of here if it is? What's going on?" He said nearly shouting at first, but quite a bit softer at the last sentence.
He angrily marched toward Toleranth, who was, as had become obvious since his entrance, the most important person in the room. His anger had prevented him from thinking clearly. He reached to put his hand on Toleranth's shoulder, meaning to spin him around look him in the eye. See if Toleranth notice him then. But Vrinn's hand went right through his shoulder, as if it wasn't there.
"WUAHH!" Vrinn shouted out, shocked. Now this was an unexpected development. What's happening? Okay, asking that to myself doesn't help at all. What does this mean? I'm incorporeal... I thought I died... I'm dead and incorporeal? A ghost? But why would I be here?
((You all brought this upon myself. I just got the idea. Not my fault.))

(I think it would be a cool way to infiltrate Loas's headquaters, Vrinn the rouge spirit.)
Tolly took the box from the Queen nodding respectfully. "The war i wish to fight is a war that i cannot fight here, for your people, and many others who live here would suffer the consquences of that action. Many disapprove of my current actions, but i believe for the moment they are for the better. That in no way says I will not fight when the time for fighting comes, and your offer of aide is well accepted.
I do not know what I can do for your people, but as for the poisonous potion sweeping the waters, there is a spring at the bottom of the caverns i use that is still safe. You are more then welcome to take back what you need to your people. I've a few specialtist mages working on the way to twart the potions effect, but it is very complex and strong in magic that is blended from many types."
Tolly took a break to think a second reviewing what she said, and he asked a question. "Lady Ellianthe, have your seers located the one to whom you speak of, because not to be rude. My people believe we are born pure, and the choices we make stain ourselves throughout life. The beliefs among the people here are many, and such a person you speak of can be any number of them. With the fate of the world resting in my hands, and the truths you spoke moments ago. I half to ask if you know who it may be?"

Alhana looked off to the side as though speaking to someone.
"Toleranth. We have a problem. Auren says that Inthe, except for the castle has been pretty much overrun. The Wyverns have your children in their care, and are trying to patch them up best they can, but battlefield medicine isn't meant for children. If the Wyverns try transporting them to here, the game is most definitely up for Auren and the Wyverns, with perhaps fatal consequences for Arkayid, half of the Wyverns, and certainly injure Auren."
"Sorry Toleranth, but your children are going to have to stay in Esperanza for now."

Her violet eyes were filled with sorrow. " No I'm afraid. My seers have not yet had the time to find the identity of its guardian. It may simply that my seers have not the ability needed to divine an answer from our gods. Or simply the ancients have chosen not to reveal him or her to us. It is all together possible that the guardian has not yet come into its power. Who knows?"
Ellianthe listened to Alhana's message with her violet eyes narrowed to slits. "That isn't entirely neccesary. Every Harpy I have dispatched into your service is able bodied, and perfectly capable of carrying the children. Unless you want them there of course. Under the circumstances they may be safer if Laos isn't aware of their survival. Every demon there was killed I assume?"
She glanced back over her shoulder, and nodded curtly. "Our spell is growing weak, My time here is severly limited. Choose your questions wisely, and with haste."

Karjic decided it was about time to speak up. "If feasible I would volunteer to make the journey to retrieve your children, Toleranth. My knowledge about the situation is limited as I have said and would probably be of little help in terms of planning at all, but I've always been pretty good at fighting. Might as well put it to use, unless you think there's a better spot for me to go to? Kids really shouldn't be involved in this sorta' thing, so I'm more then willing to go get 'em or help out." Karjic was a bit perturbed by the whole 'pure soul and body' bit, given the times and way of life generally speaking, it'd probably have to be a child... which would mean this whole thing would be going on for a good deal longer. He was very interested in what might be in the box though, even if the whole 'unleash sorrow unlike any world has ever born before should not the guardian open it' thing was a bit trippin' to say the least.

Tolly looked to Ellianthe; "I wish not to burden your reserves of power Lady Ellianthe, at the moment all of my questions that can be thought of have been asked, but with your many servants working abroad I can always have them send word to you if i have a question arise."
Tolly looked at Alhana; "If that is the case, then could they make the mage tower that overlooks Inthe, because there is a good chance Tuski and her party may still be there. It was discussed earlier that a trip there might happen, but the length of their stay was never determined. It is possible Tuski returned to the resistance base with her party already."
Tolly turned almost completely around to look at Karjic while itching his shoulder that Vrinn's hand just went through. "In time Karjic, at the moment their needs are more desperate, and to travel the many miles to get where they are would be dangerous as would be time consuming. Although the 6 of us should get moving, much is to be done, and we all stand to be attacked or put this village at risk of attack by waiting too long here for demons to sniff us out.
I wish not for Loas to get his hands on this box or key, I'm sure Lady Ellianthe's warning alone proves why he shouldn't get the chance to, and no offense to anyone present either. We also half to consider the human equation as well, surely 6 people in a church talking for more then a few hours is grounds enough to snoop, and if they were to learn of this box and its purpose. The chances of us being attacked on the way back by desperate people increases."
(just so you know there is only 5 visible people in the room. Tolly was going of senses to make the count, and Vrinn just barely made it on the radar as a presenceto be counted, but location is not determined until tolly was to focus a bit more on it. those visible are: Alhana, Tolly, Lady/Queen Ellianthe, Tairon, and Karjic. Vrinn is not visible apparently, so let the questions to tolly math ensue while we leave the church please. cause at the moment we need to get moving.)

"The place is under-siege. Tsuki and crew are holed up there for now. The children can't be dropped off there, because Laos has the place under lock and key. If the Wyverns were to drop them off, it'd be kinda suspicious. That blows Auren's cover as our inside agent, and instead of merely dying, his soul could be obliterated. If that were to happen, I'd most likely have my soul ripped away and shattered as well, since we have bonded, and then where would we be, hmm?" Alhana said.
"Point is Toleranth, Patience. You're acting like a hatchling who wants to fly now rather then later."

((Hoshi, I'm dragging Marta about as of now because I -need- to get these two moving. It is plot-vital.))
With the situation getting worse and worse, Lyra thought it was high time that her and Marta left. None would come with them, as the information to be imparted was sacred and not to be heard by ears other than theirs.
"Come, Marta. It is time we leave this place." Marta nodded and hoisted the travel pack she had acquired a short time ago onto her back.
((since it looks like a long while has passed since I last posted in here...I'm going to write a big long 'time-skip' thing because again, this needs to be done -now-.))
Marta and Lyra traveled first to the Houkan palace. After evading capture several times, because they needed to in order for the plot to work, they reached the throne room once again. Lyra explained to Marta that because their countries were ruled over and protected by gods, the current 'rulers' of the country had a connection with their god. They could be summoned from the divine realms in a time of great need.
"I'm not sure if you feel it, but you have a connection to your god Lumos right now. As soon as you were proclaimed Queen of Pearle, the link was created. Now watch carefully as the ceremony should be the same for you."
Lyra walked behind the ornate throne and pressed a brick. To Marta's surprise, it indented into the wall and the wall moved aside. Inside of the secret room was an alter, and on the alter was the two halves of a familiar stone.
"That...that's the Houkan sacred item! I thought it was still in the temple..."
"No, we moved it moments after it was discovered broken and made a copy of it. A decoy if you will. The witch Sibel apparently thought we wouldn't be able to call on our goddess if this stoen was broken. Oh how wrong she was..." Lyra trailed off with a smirk.
As she approached the stone, the two halves started glowing.
"My goddess, I need your help. Our empire will fall if you don't answer my call." Lyra said simply.
'Watch carefully, eh? Some ceremony...' Marta thought sarcastically.
The stone halves glowed brighter, until the light was so bright that it was blinding. When the light faded, a woman in ornate robes was standing just in front of the alter.
"Lyra, you know my power is limited in the mortal realm. I wont be able to help you as much as the both of us would like, I warn you of this now before it comes back and bites us." The woman said.
"Yes, of that I am well aware Lycra." Lyra replied.
Marta stood there, rooted to the spot. This was the secret power of the royal families? She would have to summon a god?!
"Lycra, I'm afraid you'll have to put up with the presence of your husband because we need him." Lyra continued.
The temperature in the room rose by a few degrees as the goddess said, What? I'm not speaking with him until a reconcile takes place. I refuse to!"
Lyra gave the goddess a look before saying, "In case you haden't noticed, that over there is the current Queen of Pearle. You think I would show a political, economical, and territorial enemy into the most secret and protected room in the entire empire for kicks and giggles? We've signed a peace contract. The reconcile has come and gone, our lands are allies again."
Lycra looked rather taken aback. It was obvious that the goddess hadn't been keeping stock of the current affairs of her subjects.
---------------------------------
Several days later, the reached the Pearlean capitol and again evaded capture. (Mostly thanks to Lycra this time, she was a goddess after all and could do things like that.)
"Are you sure about this? I really have a connection to Lumos like you say I do?" Marta asked hesitantly.
"Of course I'm sure, I wouldn't take such a chance on an uncertainty! Where's all that newfound confidence from a few days ago, eh? Buck up, you can do this." Lyra reassured her.
Marta took a deep breath and nodded before looking upon the royal blue stone in front of her.
Hesitantly, Marta started the 'summoning'.
"Ehm...Lumos, protector of these lands. I beseech you, come and do your duty? The lands we both hold dear...will be overrun if you do not heed my call!" Marta had started out shakily, but gained confidence and by the end had been shouting.
Unlike with Lycra's summoning, the stone seemed to blacken and suck the light from the room until it was completely black. Not a thing could be seen.
When the light returned to the room, a silver haired man stood in front of Marta.
"Greetings, wife. It is good to see you again. I hear there has been a peace agreement between our lands. Does this mean you will cease you childish game and return to me? As for you, Marta. I greet you and give you my blessing. May you lead our country to victory against this evil." Lumos said calmly.
"What?! Why do you know the current state of affairs in this realm when I don't?" Lycra said indignantly while at the same time, moving to embrace her husband.
Lyra chose that time to speak up, "I think I know. Your stone was broken Lycra, so you couldn't see into our realm. One thing Sibel's machinations suceeded in doing was to blind you to the goings on here."
Lycra nodded, that made sense.
"Whatever, talk later but right now we have got to get back to HQ." Marta interupted.
Lyra nodded her agreement. They'd been gone a total of 10 days and it was high time they get back.
Lumos smiled softly, "I might have a solution for quick travel. Since I am god of the moon, I have a small ability to manipulate shadows. No where near as powerful as that of your shadow user friends, but enough to 'get around' as it were. I can transport all of us back to your HQ in and instant if you would let me look into your mind and see where it is."
"That would be tremendously helpful. Thank you." Marta said.
With that, Lumos looked into Marta's mind and transported them all back to 'HQ'.
((There. Important plot bit taken care of.))
