Thoughts on 310 and 311:

HOLYSHIT! THAT WAS AMAZING!
The bending, and the fighting, and the scheming and the- Gaaah! I don't even kno what to say!
Well, I guess I'll start by saying the Kataang actually didn't bother me. It's not that I like it, it's just that it didn't seem very serious to me. Yeah. I know. Them kissing is not serious to me. xD What I mean is, Katara seemed a little more shocked and embarassed than, I dunno, 'love-struck'. Plus, nothing else really happened between them in relation to that afterward. It just seemed sort of... forgotten.
Second, OMGZUKOILOVEYOU! Finally! He made the right decision! And now he's stalking them again~ <3 I can't wait for the next eppy! I wanna see everyone's reaction to him!
Oh, and the lightning redirection was also full of long-awaited awesomeness.
Ursa and Suki are presumably alive! Yays! Now Sokka and Zuko can both be happy and have tearful reunions! <3
Toph was being awesome within the first, like, 15 seconds of this episode.
"All I heard was blah blah blah spirit mumbo-jumbo blah blah blah something about space."

Seeing all the old characters was awesome, too. I missed them so much, though I hate Haru's mustache. I was quite happy to hear Sokka's mentioning of it during his nervous rant. xD
Azula - Wow, that girl is evil and awesome and acrobatic. o.o Her fight scenes are always amazing, even when she isn't bending.
Uhhhhhhhhh.... That's all for now. I just really really really wanna see the next episode and found out what happens and have squee fits over Zuko being awesome and smart again.
Wow. That's a mouthful.

Oh...Augh....Squeeeee... My love for these two episodes just got completely renewed...For like, the umpteenth time!!
Zuko's progress in this part never ceases to amaze me. He finally confronts his father, he finally breaks up with Mai, he finally completely acknowledged what Iroh really is to him, he's finally decided to join the Avatar's cause. Every little bit of realization we Zuko-fans were hoping and waiting for, all came out in a matter of less then half-an-hour.
WOW. Holy Crap...Just wow.
And the battle scenes were awesome. They know how to wage war, that's for sure! X3 The Earthbenders, the Water tribe warriors, Sokka and his sword and inventive subs and tanks, seeing all the old characters again(Though Haru's moustache always makes me giggle insanely...He needs to shave that thing! Oo ) Katara was awesome with her water bending, Toph rocked...As ALWAYS <3....Azula was crazy, the Dai Lee were synchronized...and that one guy wondering the underground tunnels was full of win^^
And Iroh! Woot! I'm so glad he's finally out of jail! *does happy dance* Heh, crafty Iroh, training and getting all buff, biding his time until the eclipse would leave his guards powerless against his might! *laughs maniacally* Ahem...
Yes, now I think he's headed to visit Lu Ten's grave, then that's where we will finally learn about his fabled trip to the Spirit World! Then after that he'll probably run off and join the White Lotus to create an army! heh, maybe not...But I can dream...and you never know...This is Avatar, anything can happen!!
And I knew Suki was alive! Ursa as well!
I CANNOT wait until the Western Air Temple to air. I am dying to see how much more of my Ursa theory is correct! *bounces off walls* I wonder if they'll put out a preview of the next episode, and/or if they'll be doing it soon...I'm annoyed by the fact that they've stopped showing the little previews after the show...
And let's not forget, the upcoming Zutara. Oh my god. This is what we've been hoping for. Zuko's joining the gaang, and now Zutara has the two things it needs to develop: Time(10 episodes) and a situation where they'll be forced to talk to each other(now that they're going to be fighting, together, there will be many of these) ((This of course is drawn from the awesomeness that is Mizsweet's deductions from Deviantart.))
It has the oppurtunity to develop, and it will. Maiko was doomed from the beginning, and we now know that Aang's feelings for Katara are not reciprocated in a romantic way. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone here the details of that Kataang kiss. It was one-sided, Katara doesn't feel the same way, or the reaction would be a great deal different.
Mizsweet, the awesome writer who analyzes this stuff, has a new essay out concerning all this. Maiko, Kataang, Zutara, fanon/canon, everything related to Zuko and Katara and their romantic pasts, presents and futures. If you have any doubt left at all... Read it. I'll get the link up sometime in the near future...

Okay, now I can think semi-coherently. xD
Gaah, that episode was awesome. I agree, all the characters rocked, and the battle scenes were just amazing. I love that the Earth Kingdom has tanks and stuff now.
Iroh~<3 I forgot to mention him in my initial rant about this! Well, he was pretty awesome, and I totally ship him and that one gaurd girl now. I thiought it was really sweet that he wanted to make sure she didn;t get hurt in the chaos of his escape.
I'm thinkin' Iroh will find the Gaang through the White Lotus (and/or Ursa), since they have a lotus tile.
*squees* Yay! I was so incredibly esctatic when Zuko siad he was joining Aang. Finally! We're getting more interaction between him and Katara! I'm really hoping there's some good emotional development between them, though, and that things don't seem to rushed.
Yes, Maiko always seemed a little out of place, and I know for a fact it wasn't just my biased Zutara mind. There's plenty of non-Zutarians who come to my thread and say they don't like Maiko and think it seems out of place.
As for the Kataang, I agree whole-heartedly. It may not exactly be confirmed, but Katara's reaction didn't spell 'in-love' at all. It didn't feel romantic or tense or dramatic or anything. Just... Awkward and sudden.
Next episode, plz!! biggrin heart

OMG! OMG! OMG!
Kyaaah~! This episode was amazing! I don’t even know what to say!
*deep breaths*
Okay, I think I’m okay now.
So, I completely loved Zuko in this. He was hilarious and cute and dorkish and his flashbacks were incredibly sweet. For some reason, I loved him sliding down the rope. xD It’s just so ninja, how can you not love it?
Oh, and him talking to the frog was hilarious. I especially enjoyed his “Hi, it’s me, Zuko” thing. And his impersonations. xD Especially his Azula one. It was dead-on.
Oh! And When eh finally talked to the gaang? Win. So funny, but also kinda sad, I felt really bad for him when he got rejected, but I loved Katara’s (and everyone else’s) anger toward him. Very fitting.
And! And! And! When he fought the Combustion Man! That was funny and awesome.
“I won’t pay you!” xD
Toph defending him was awesome. I think everyone saw that coming, but it was still cool to see it in canon. Her getting her feet burned was interesting, too. I never thought of something like that happening, but it makes sense.
Sokka was amazing, as usual. He had even more awesome lines, and I loved seeing the boomerang back in action. <3 Plus, his awkward moment with Zuko was cute and funny. XD I look forward to many more.
Katara!!!1!one! I love you too! As I said before, I loved her resentment toward Zuko; it was perfect. I especially liked when she was debating on accepting him at the end, and Zuko had that really nervous, hopeful look on his face. <3 And the end. I actually squeed at the fact that she was threatening him. XD what can I say? I love the hate and tension between them (though ther’s no hate on Zuko’s end).
And, of course, her bending was amazing. The giant wave and then the raining of icicles was freaking awesome.
Hahaha! It seems almost as if Katara and Aang have completely forgotten about the kiss. They didn’t even mention it, and this pleases me. Why? Because if Katara really did like him, I imagine there would be an almost immediate heart-felt confession of mutual feelings, because there isn’t a whole lot of time left in the series; it’s half way over, they can’t drag Kataang out anymore. It’s either happening now or never.
Oh! Another thing; Appa licking Zuko was hilarious and full of win. I think everyone saw that coming, too.
Uhhh… Yeah. Freaking aweosme episode, I lol’d and squeed and shook with joy.

wow. i found the western air temple episode a little weird. zuko not being emoish, it just seems a little outta character! i suppose its something that i will have to get used to.
def interesting to see him in the comic relief position. "i'll pay you double to stop!" haha.
did you guys notice when he was practicing his speech on the frog that it left, then returned? i think that was nice foreshadowing on the writers part.
i gained a new appreciation for toph. i knew she would be the one to see reason in the group.
actually i was thinking the whole zuko confrontation would be more violent. where are his swords?!
katara in this episode i did not like. it just seemed to be a complete departure from her normal character. its almost a role reversal with her and zuko. she's mean and spiteful and he's endearing and loving? weird weird weird!!! i knew she would be angry at him for ba sing se, but not that mean! that was almost azulaish!
i wonder how he will get back into her good graces (so zutara can happen, of course). the writers are so good at plot twists, so the kataang moment in DoBs makes me think zutara will happen even more.
there is some chatter on avatarchapters.com (where i watched western air temple, since i live in the US) about the name of the next episode. anybody know it yet? there is talk about one being named "the fire lady" and "the white lotus" I don't know how bogus these are, or if either is actually an episode name, all I know is that if one is named the fire lady, and katara sees zuko's mom, maybe she will forgive him. cause you know zuko will be very weepy if that were to happen.
oh! and i liked sokka carrying toph around. and him showing zuko to his room. and the thing about the wart in his throat.

I noticed the frog return, but I never saw it as foreshadowing. Nice spotting!
Well, in defence of Katara, she's been the most hurt by Zuko's betrayal, and add on to that the fact that she's very protective of people she cares about, and you get some pretty nasty behaviour. Don't worry though. She's a very kind-hearted person, so I doubt her grudge will last much longer.
Ooh, interesting. I'd be incredibly happy if either of those titles were correct, since they'd probably suport the amazing theory one of our members has come up with. I can't wait for Ursa to apear and have an emotional reunion with Zuko. <3 The poor boy needs some motherly care!
Sokka was just awesome overall this episode. xD But, then again, when is he not?

The Western Air Temple is SO FREAKIN' AWESOME! It's upside down! I seriously jaw-dropped when I saw that. I was like "dude!!!" xd
Oh, and Zuko talking to a frog? Hah! That was so priceless, and that made me crack up! Iroh's and Azula's impersonations were so amusing too. This episode totally made me love Zuko so much MUCH more! heart
And, daaaaamn, Katara's a bit ..... hell, she's just royally pissed. I mean, basically, that whole "if you screw up, just even once, I'll kill you" thing towards the end, was like, so harsh. xp
And the Combustion Man showing up was really unexpected. At first, I thought Zuko hired him back to act that whole thing out to make it seem like he was good, but, I was dead wrong. And I loved how Sokka was able to measure at what trajectory he should throw boomerang at. That was so strategic! 3nodding
And that was so cute how Appa was licking Zuko. And when Toph was defending Zuko when everyone else was like "noooes, he's still bad!!", that was a kinda heartfelt moment. But I do agree with Toph when she was like "I'm beginning to really wonder who's the blind one around here." Everyone else, although they had a good reason to, were clearly blinded by their anger and feelings towards the old Zuko, but hopefully, in time, they'll grow to accept and get rid of those past feelings and moments in time.

I'll post my thoughts about the ep tomorrow, too excited tonight and sleepy x3 yes, i just found that out. i guess the site i was on was talking nonsense with the fire lady and white lotus. oh well. but i did find out that the firebending masters airs december 28th (6pm EST) on YTV in Canada. (You Canadians are lucky!) at least I can be a horrible person and seek it out on the internet before it airs in the US. haha.
