((We call them truck cabs in America too, I just think she got it confused.))

Dom jacked up the iron cage with the controls on the hover-platform's handle and with the amazing wonders of government technology, Dom pulled the entire cage and captive with less force it took to pull a wheelbarrow down a sidewalk. He lined it up with the back end of the bed and walked the cage up into the truck.

He kept an ear open on Marc's movements, and listened as he spoke to the human woman with short and terse tones. Something had definately grated on the other werewolf's nerves on this assignment. The woman seemed to be cooporating now, but whether or not she remained that way throughout the rest of this process was yet to be seen.

He secured the cage and platform, and closed the back of the truck bed with a loud slam of metal and patted the side to let the driver of the truck know it was checked and locked.

"Alright," Dom said, approaching the younger man, "it's all set to go whenever you're ready."

Alby's cheeks went red, mahogany eyes widening as Sayn leaned so close to him. He thought maybe...the other was going to kiss him, but obviously he didn't, only pulled back with a parting remark and got out of the car. Completely ignoring Alby now. The incubus' cheeks blushed even harder, if possible, and he let out a breath. He decided, after a moment of thought, he was glad nothing had happened. But he still frowned, hair and hat hiding his eyes for a moment as he stared blankly at Sayn just...walking away. He didn't even look back, or notice that Albion wasn't following him.

He got out of the car and hurried to catch up.

At the door, while Sayn said hello, Alby was feeling more like himself again and barreled through, grinning at the three women in the room. "Now what," he said, adjusting the brim of his hat and grinning at the three like a wolf, "are three fine foxy ladies like y'selves doin' in a dump like this?" He laughed, circling the room. "Visna, you're looking well," he smiled charmingly, bowing to her a bit before snaking a slap on her rear as he passed her. Snickering, he hurried over to the other two lest he get a fang or two in the neck. "Nickyyyy..." he grinned behind her. "You look just bursting with joy as usual..." And then he flung his arms around Aamira's neck, giving her big puppy-dog eyes. "Aamira! My love. My goddess! How I have counted the hours, nay, the minutes since our last meeting! Kiss me darling!" he said dramatically and puckered his lips like a fish.

Of course his incubus powers didn't work on Niqui or Aamira because of their demon blood, but that didn't mean he still didn't flirt wildly with them, especially Aamira, he seemed very fond of bugging the crap out of her like a third-grader with a crush.

"Alright," Dom said as he walked over, "it's all set to go whenever you're ready."

Marc gave a nod, closing the door on the young woman, and leaping up into the front passenger seat. The first thing he did was roll the window down and stick his head out. There are some things that really are just hard-wired into the brain.

"Was the cafeteria still doing dinner when you left?" he asked the other werewolf. "I hardly got in the door before they called me out again."

The invisible, smiling fox’s mask slipped back over the man's face once more. Despite beginning to become dripping wet and half frozen to the bone, Keima managed a wide smile that showed his perfectly white teeth (he was probably the biggest maniac out there about keeping his teeth, essential to picking up the ladies, clean and healthy. It was a pretty big feat for himself, since he was quite the smoker. Pun intended) and a wide wave of the arm.

“Byeee~”

In a high, cheery voice he bid the others farewell, trailing the ‘e’ at the end much, much longer than necessary. It probably aggravated the hell out of most people in this sort of situation, but then again, he was not a ‘Stupid Fox’ for no reason. He took a warped sort of pride in the nickname he had acquired over the long years; it was a rather dark and conniving little sort of pride, not unlike that of a mischievous fox’s. Let them think what they wished; in the end, he would be neither friend nor foe, watching all and helping none, a being who refused to be placed under a yoke. Ah, but he had picked the perfect animal to be the namesake of.

...Damn. But first things first, he had to get out of this rain before he went and got himself sick. Then he had to make a phone call. It would be a pity if the girl - a pretty young thing she was too, he’d met her at the local sushi house while on another one of his restaurant hunts - he had picked up two nights ago got pissed and decided to break off their ‘relationship’. He had figured it would last at least a week or two.

Ah well.

He set off in the direction of the closest club he knew around here.

Dom watched Marc pull himself up into the truck cab from the ground and roll down the window immediately after closing the door, causing the older werewolf to smile knowingly.

"Was the cafeteria still doing dinner when you left?" Marc asked. "I hardly got in the door before they called me out again."

Dom nodded, "Should be. With the hours this company holds, they're pretty good at having food available at all the strange hours of the day." He peered through the rain at Keima, who was walking off into the distance. He had lots of sympathy for both of the younger men, they'd been rudely introduced into the life that he'd chosen willingly. He pulled himself into the truck cab behind Marc and signaled to the dispatch driver to take them back to the Bureau.

      • Niqui's reaction to Vi wasn't unexpected. Neither was Aamira's. Visna should have known, or so she reminded herself, not to let herself get ahead of this and get lost in preoccupation. She didn't work with these two liberationists often. And her own tendency for being more detached when she felt it needed wasn't the same, certainly not for Aamira. 'That would be bad to forget,' Vi mused in her head, 'especially as the lights are flickering already.'

They didn't need to get into who was used to being around who and whether or not Vi needed to watch her words more carefully. That had gotten to be a worn out record. She nodded to Sayn in greeting as he entered before shrugging at Aamira to offer as close as she could get to an apology, "It's done. I don't intend to give orders. I just have to get this pleasant get-together on its feet. It's really up to whoever wants to be involved to decide what to do."

Her mouth parted but before she could say anything else, she realized that the hurrying sounds approaching the door after Sayn meant Albion. Well, this was going to get delayed fast. That wouldn't be all bad. The black haired naga ran over a few things in her mind. They had more than enough options for tonight.

Albion breezed in like testosterone clockwork. Vi had dealt with him plenty of times. Getting upset didn't do anything, but it probably made him a little prouder. "I think I could use a drink, if you're buying." She grinned with a flash of fangs. Even if everything she said would probably upset Aamira for a while still, Vi knew she could trust Alby to pick up on humor at least. He never seemed to mind it.

Her tall slim figure relaxed against the wall. Vi moved to have one arm bent with hand on waist and the side of her dark arm against the wall. Couldn't back up completely. No tail touching the wall. That would be bad. Somehow.

It was not a long journey back to the shabby-looking building which housed the Bureau of Supernatural and Paranormal Affairs. The truck pulled into a loading bay in the carpark up against the side of the building, and Marc was swinging out almost before they had come to a complete stop.

"Do you want to look after the fae, and I'll take care of our lovely lady, hey, Dom?" Marc asked, the promise of food inside lightening his mood considerably. "There was a bit of a misunderstanding involving a gun and my stomach, so I think we may have gotten off to a bad start, he explained to the other werewolf as he opened Aileen's door, and offered his hand to help her down. "You eaten?" he asked her.

For the second time in roughly as many minutes, Niqui's long red toungue snaked out of her mouth, this time in answer to the oh-so-charming incubus Albion's remark. Of course, that didn't stop her from givign him a look from underneath her tick white eyelashes, her tail snaking back and forth and betraying her.

Albion had very efficiently diffused the tension between Vi and Aamira with his cheeky flirting, and now Niqui was starting to look forward to tonight.

Dom got out of the truck behind Marc and smelt a scent on the air that told him who was approaching the truck. He nodded to Marc as the younger werewolf started to help the human female out of the cab, "That works for me. I'll get Charlie to help me out with it."

He walked to the back of the truck bed and smirked at the auburn haired human that was approaching the loading bay. He touched his nose and raised his eyebrows at her, "So, now what are we supposed to do with this thing?" he asked, nodding his head toward the back of the truck as the girl got closer.

--------

Charlie smiled at Dom, shaking her head as she came to stand in front of him. "That nose of yours is going to get you into trouble one day," she said with a small laugh. "But about this monsterous thing," she pointed to the back of the truck, "For now, we get it into one of the interogation cells and see if we can coax Marduk into coming out of hiding. I 'hurt his feelings' eariler."

"For now, we get it into one of the interogation cells and see if we can coax Marduk into coming out of hiding. I 'hurt his feelings' eariler"

As Charlie said it Marduk popped in. In the blink of an Eye he was simply there. No fading, no light to announce his arrival. He was simply there behind Charlie. He reffered to this particular mode of teleporting as 'Blinking' becuase in a blink you were there and in a blink you were gone. He managed to catch the hurt feelings part.

"Well how would you feel if you were just overly helpful to you children and got insulted in return?" He told her obviously still alittle miffed. "I'm I'm not going to disappate that purple smoke until you apologize." He told her defiantly.

He was once more in his full grown form. He chose to be a little taller this time at 6'2. He'd changed his clothes as well. Instead of wearing the brlliant whiite of before he was wearing a suit made entirely of black that was so dark it didn't even reflect the light. It simply looked like he was wearing a suit that was devoid of any color or light. His tie was made of real flame. He'd pulled his hair into several tight braids and braided them togther as well. He was also wearing think glasses that sat on his nose. If the Devil had a Lawyer, it would look much like how Marduk looked now. The only except was his transparent butterfly-like wings were now free and twittering behind him. He was ready to interoogate. Or at least sit in on it. By the look of him, playing the 'Good Cop' role wasn't an option this time.

Dom only shook his head and turned back to the truck to lower the door of the bed and reach in to grab the handle of the hover-platform to pull the cage out onto the floor of the loading bay. The sidhe inside was still unconcious in the center. He looked to Charlie and asked, "Where to?"

---------------

Charlie turned to Marduk and sighed, "I'm sorry. Besides, I wasn't serious and you know it."

She looked back to Dom, who had the cage out of the truck and was waiting for the two of them, "Just down the hall. In interogation room three."

"I'm sorry. Besides, I wasn't serious and you know it."

Marduk gave Charlie a very suspicous look. He looked her over with a face of stone. "You sure sounded serious at the time."

Then his face broke and he smiled widely. "But apology accepted." He told her with a grin before becomming very serious again. "The iron burn on his arm looks worse then it did before. I think it may be slowly poisoning it's system. We'll need a bigger containment area and someone to take care of the arm. I may not like the poor thing but I don't want to see it whither and die either." He said. The part then went usaid was the he didn't want that becuase he wanted it to suffer. It would pay for belittling him.

Charlie raised an eyebrow at the -- extremely -- tall fae. It was always a strange experience talking to Marduk when he was a normal human size, but when he was nearly a foot taller than her? It was just weird. She was so used to being the bigger of the two...

"How the heck did he get an iron burn? I don't remember hearing about that when I talked to you and Marc earlier," she sighed and frowned as she thought out loud, "If I'd known, I would have sent for a healer to be available when he got here. Anyway, do you think an interogation room will be big enough, or do you think we should go bigger?"

-------------

Dom listened to the two talk. "Why don't you just whip something up, Charlie? One of your potions would probably do better than any human healer would on the sidhe."

It seemed that everyone had decided to drop by tonight, no sooner had Sayne mad his entrance Alby came thundering in after him. Aamira sigh, annoyed at the delays, she wanted to play not stand here waiting for everyones imput.

She was about to snap at Visna again when Albion decided it would be a good plan to physically impede on her train of thought, his arms around his neck lips puckered comically. Aamira didn't laugh though, she sighed again putting her hands on his chest to push him away she let a small current flow through them, just a little spark, she was in no mood for his games today. Though she never really was, but that wasn't the point.

"Christ, Albion! Get off me."

Her voice more annoyed then angrey now, Alby had indeed succesfully changed the mood in the room. He was aggrivating and tiresome but he was good at what he did, at least she was distracted enough now not to fry Visna like bacon.
PostPosted: Sat Jan 27, 2007 12:00 am

Alby started, jumping back from Aamira and rubbed his chest. The little shock didn't hurt; in fact, it felt kinda good. He had a high threshhold of pain, anyway. He pushed up his hat and grinned deviously at her, sticking out his tongue. "Oooh, hit me harder baby, I like the jolt."

Of course he moved away from her in case she decided to take him up on his offer and hit him really hard. He wasn't sure he could take a thousand volts. But he loved annoying her, and would more than likely do it again before the night was through, a lot. He climbed up and sat cross-legged on the table, his right elbow resting on his leg, cheek in his hand, his other hand on his left thigh, arm at a right angle. "So what's the plan? Rape and pillage? Destruction? Pestilance? I'm in a mood to do some damage tonight!" He laughed, grinning at them all. He could tell when he came in he'd dispersed a mood, but that was his job, after all. He liked to think of himself as the glue that held all these clashing personalities together. Or maybe just the comedic relief.

But hey, when you're working with eye candy like this, he'd take any role.

"If I'd known, I would have sent for a healer to be available when he got here. Anyway, do you think an interogation room will be big enough, or do you think we should go bigger?"

Marduk considered this for a little bit. "Well the interrogation room is most certainly large enough, but it isn't excatly a sealed iron chamber. We'll have to see about expanding the cage I guess." He told her dismissing the part about the healing. That could be taken care of at their end. He wasn't gonna lift a finger to help if he didn't have to.
