punk_rock_goddess21 Dianic Wicca, a type of Wicca that os made specially for worshipping the Goddess "Dianic" sounds very similar to the Roman Goddess Diana. Is there a relation between the two names?

Atheist, but I like to consider myself well versed in many sects of Christianity, Wiccianism, Judiasm, and Greek Mythology. I try to learn more about other religions, but with school - I'm a bit busy.

Just a Christian. I really dont' see why there should be soo many branches and denominations of Christianity, but let's just say that I'm a non-denom Christian that has a good relationship with Jesus Christ.

I don't remember if I've posted in this thread yet, and if I have, oh well. ^^
I'm a Buddhist, as of three months ago. Before that, I was an agnostic who meditated daily. ^^

I am Ame. Not in the guild (yet sweatdrop ) but I wanted to describe my religious beliefs. And my hubby is at work and I'm bored. Hehehe. Lets see, I was raised Catholic. When I was 15-16 I didnt believe in anything, then I started going to a Baptist church, and then a Church of Christ Church. Uhmmm I dunno what I would be. I believe in God, and that Jesus is the saviour. However, my views are slightly...different. And I think all religions lead to the same place, but maybe thats just me.

I was raised United Methodist but in college a religion professor, who mentored me during my idependant study to receive a minor, gave me Starhawk's "Spiral Dance" and a book about Druidry. I started blending Druidry with my beliefs and began communing with the Goddess. Now I am ecclectic Pagan and consider myself to be a wild mage. I socialize with the Elodrym who accept magicians and mystics of any religious tradition.
I believe that labels are inadaquate because people's ideas won't fit neatly inside a box. I believe that there is a spiritual essence that flows through all of us and people around the world perceive it in many different ways.

if you wish to be techincle about it i have been babtized in the church of latter day saints or the MORMANS however i do not believe in most of this religions standings. In truth i guess you could call me a child of the universe.... influenced by my mother my main belief is that what you put into the universe will return to you twice fold. if this is the basis of a real religion please notify me so that i can do some reashearch. I guess i believe that wich seems to be true. when an expierence proves something that i believe in to be wrong and i can find no evidence that it is right then i simply change my belief. in doin this i hope to find the true " religion " if one truly exists " .

The concept of "what you do returns to you" is called Karma. Some say it will return onefold, some say twofold, and many say threefold. Karma is a major concept of many Eastern religions and a few Western religions. Religions beliving in karma include Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Spiritism and Neopaganism. For more info on karma, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KarmaOn a less metaphysical level, just about all major religions believe in acting as you wish to be treated, with the possible belief that goodness will return to you in this life or the afterlife.
