Kat just glowered at him, and quickly reloaded her other gun before taking off to where she thought Crim was heading, still jumping from bookshelf to bookshelf. Of course, given the length of that distraction, he could be anywhere by now.

((Jeez making me edit my post! xd Hold on))

Crim` dove behind the central desk and looked at his arm, jamming his knife into the wooden desk he leaned against. "Only knicked the skin and went right through... Well... I guess it's not all that bad." he muttered, frowning. His eyes drooped a bit. He shook his head quickly. "The hell?" he asked himself. He heard two gunshots and snapped out of it, looking down to his leg. "Heh, losing too much blood. Perhaps it's time I take my leave..." he said, tightening the cloth wrapped around his leg and then searching in the desk and finding a white cloth, wiping off his shoulder a bit.

He peeked above the desk with narrowed eyes, spying his jacket nearby. He'd keep low and crouched, moving toward it after grabbing his knife and then taking cover behind a shelf. He slipped it on, grunting a bit as it covered his wounded arm.

"Wait a minute... who was she shooting at just then? She doesn't generally waste ammo out of frustration..." he blinked. "...Though that would be funny..." he said, getting a rediculous visual of Kata in a form similar to Yosimite Sam, blasting the ground with her guns and hopping with each blast. He laughed, his own absurd thoughts getting the best of him. Perhaps it wouldn't be so great to be thinking of things like this while getting shot at. Crim` stood and frowned. "I hope she isn't shooting at that guy who helped me. It'd be bad karma if I let him get killed... Damnit..." he said to himself, clearly fighting with his conscience over whether to flee or go check it out.

He opted to check it out, shaking his head and breaking into a jog back in their direction, wincing a bit in pain as he noticed the stabbing sensation in his leg, the adrenaline from earlier apparently having worn off some. In moments he spotted Kata and instantly propelled himself into the air, using the momentum built up while running to launch himself into a spinning kick a few feet off of the ground which would aim his right foot at the bookshelf Kata had just landed on, striking a point just above it's center, knocking it over and causing another domino toppling effect. He'd push off of the bookshelf with his right foot after striking it, landing and taking a CQC stance, his knife held in his right hand reverse gripped, his knees bent and his left hand kept close to his right.

Kat looked down the row of bookshelves for Crim, only to feel the whole shelf below her begin to fall. The only thought running through her head, as she struggled to keep her balance, was "Oh, s**t."

She kept her balance for the first couple of seconds, only to get knocked off as it hit the bookshelf behind her. She hit the second shelf and held on as it fell to the ground also. The jarring impact from the ground knocked her flat, but she struggled to get to her knees quickly, looking at Crim.

Somewhere in the fall, she'd lost a gun, buried beneath fallen bookshelves.

Crim` relaxed, standing upright and raising his arms at his side mockingly. "Don't forget your target is me, catgirl." he said, raising his knife to her , pointing it at her and then waving it back toward himself. He then turned a bit, his left side moving to face her as he simultaneously raised his left hand in front of him, letting his right arm fall to his side. He glanced to his wounded shoulder, trying to play it cool despite the pain from the gunshot wound. On his left middle finger he wore a silver ring, embedded on this ring was a green jewel, and within this jewel there seemed to be a constant swirl of energy which radiated in a brighter, almost neon green color. He stretched out his left hand, his fingers popping underneath his black glove and then his hand would relax, his left arm remaining extended.

"What do you say we let our gifts from above decide the outcome of tonight's little dance, hm?" he asked, a smirk on his face.

"He's the one who interfered, I didn't just go targetting him." She snapped, getting to her feet despite her awkward position of standing on the side of a fallen bookshelf. She held her arms loosely at her side, her right hand holding her remaining gun, and her left with her fire ring. The ring was also silver, with a dark red stone that was now glowing dully with the occassional sparkle.

"I think I have the technical advantage right now, if you want to mess with elements." She said, returning the smirk. The entire library was filled with flammable papers, while Crim would need to summon the earth through the floor of the building.

As Migy stepped back toward where she was still sitting, she got up and walked to his side. "She shot you?" the elf asked incredulously. "Well that wasn't very polite of her, but you did step into it didn't you? Would you like me to heal those wounds, or do you prefer the scars?"

"Perhaps." he said, tilting his head to the side a bit as he looked at her. "But advantages can easily be turned against those who have them." he continued, ever confident.

Kat rolled her eyes at Crim's confidence. He'd been fairly cocky when she stole his wallet too.

"If that's how you want to play then..." She said, "Let's." As she said the last word, the bookshelf to Crim's right light on flame, her ring gleaming. It wasn't close enough to burn Crim, but she hoped it would distract him as she darted to her right between the still-standing bookshelves.

Crim` saw the spark of flame ignite the area on his right and instinctively ran left, shielding his eyes with his right arm. He looked over his arm, his eyes darting back to where Kata was and seeing a trace of her before she vanished amidst the bookshelves. "You shouldn't have worn white!" he said with a smirk, making a fist with his left hand and raising it again toward the bookshelves, he crouched, opening his hand, raising it above his head, then setting it down hard, flat on the floor, the ring on his finger glowing brightly as the floor cracked along the center in a moment, the floor cracking in a path headed straight for the bookshelves, the earth underneath the floor driving itself upward hard enough to break the hard library floor.

Hearing the fight start to get serious, he turned to Kelwyn taking her hand lightly in his. "Actually she shot me twice, and yes, I did put myself in that situation. I would be glad if you healed me; although, condidering the sudden change of events, it may be better if we left the library for now."

Kelwyn nodded. "Yes, from what I heard they're about to get in an elemental battle, which can get quite nasty with two combatants as reckless as them. Lead the way, I'll keep an eye on the fight so we don't get caught in the middle of it. I'll heal you when we get outside."

Even more proof that white was not Kat's colour. From now on, black. Or leather. Leather didn't stain as easily.

Either way, Kat felt, rather than saw, the crack and the earth heading her way. Not very good. Then again, since she was running straight ahead, and the crack, comparitively, was at an angle, it wasn't very bad either. Crim was aiming for where she was, or possibly for where she would be, but even with a bad leg, she still easily ran past the approaching attack.

She emerged from the other side of the rows of bookshelves, the shelves themselves making a slow decision to fall over, and turned to her left, running closer to Crim. The falling bookshelves and the flying pages partly hid her until she was parallel to Crim. She abruptly turned, heading straight towards Crim and hoping the flying pages would hide her a little longer until she got a bit closer. At least amid a flurry of white paper, her white clothes might provide a bit of additional camoflague.

As he started to make his way out of the library, he saw Se-vens sitting on the desk with his eyes closed and his legs crossed. He stopped for a second to look him over. He looked familiar somehow, as if he had met him before. Shaking his head, he turned his head foreward and continued on out to the streets of Aekea.

Crim`s maroon eyes darted about quickly searching for Kata through all of the items that were being kicked up in the short amount of time after his attack. A silhouette... A shadow, anything would be useful, but he could make nothing out as the moment he saw a hint of a human form it seemed to move and disappear. "She's getting close..." he thought, eyes darting about. He opted to do only what he could think of and that was to use his position on the ground to his advatage. His hand was already planted upon the ground and he called forth the earth to send up a defensive wall that would cover his entire front side in a half-circle.

Kat came to a stop 5 feet away from Crim's protective wall. Damnit. She'd had this beautiful plan to blast him once she got closer, and he'd gone and thrown up a wall. Of course, she could go around, but he'd probably spot that easily, since he only had to watch a small area.

Hmm... Books... She could work with that. She grabbed a large book off the shelf, The History of Gaia. Nice and big and thick. Then, in her best underhand throw, she tossed it up and over the wall of earth in front of her. As soon as the book reached the height of it's toss, her magnum whipped up and shot the book.

The book exploded into pages, most falling within Crim's wall in a thick cloud of white. She smirked and lowered the gun, admiring her work for a split second before throwing her left hand out towards the papers, palm forward. The ring on her finger glew brightly as simultaneously, the cloud of papers burst into flames, creating a cloud of fire slowly descending towards Crim.

She smiled evilly. This strategy might be very useful. She only wished she had some wind magic, pushing her clouds of fire around would be great. She tore her eyes away from her cloud to watch the back of Crim's shelter. It'd be the logical way for him to run.
