Nuclear Detonation They didn't choose her for looking like previous incarnations of the Lana character (because she doesn't); it has nothing with that -- they choose her because she's hot. Okay, maybe she nailed the line. Maybe she didn't. But, quibbling aside, after reading the writers' statement you can't help but fall for the inevitable conclusion -- she looked like everything they wanted Lana Lang to embody, and they fell hook, line and sinker. And I agree with the fact that it is, partially, the writers' fault; they did a really crappy job of consistently portraying the character throughout the series. But, also, I just don't really respect Kristen Kreuk as an actor -- she really hasn't shown us her best up to this point; and there is only so much you can blame on a poorly written script. But, moving back to the subject on hand -- did anyone check out Clex Weekly? AHHH!!! *dies* Clex weekly?? NO FING WAY!!! *glomps* I LOVE YOU!!!

I love it there, and I'm so glad I found someone that agrees with me. I'm in the middle of writing a really cheesy Fan Fic about lex/clark for Valentines day...a little late but better than never.

May I ponder as to why? I actually rather enjoy them; it's a way for fans to explore all the unexplored possibilities of a show. There are, of course, many poorly-written pieces out there; but if you're willing to look for those hidden gems, it's well worth the time.

I love fan fics...Unless they are totally Outrageous and are CLEAR fan fic. But if the writing and Dialog are actually quality, then i will stand to read them.

Idk, I like watching how the producers evision the character. I don't really want to read about some cheesy fan fic where the characters act really out of character. I'm sure there are good fan fics out there though.

I don't know; it's interesting to see how the writers script a character, but as long as a fanfic writer stays within those initial parameters I don't see anything wrong with exploring the deeper psyche of a character. A lot of times a show can't explore all avenues of a character's personality; that's where fanfics come in.

A lot of people who watch the show religiously ARE able to capture the characters a lot of the time. I think you would be surprised if you actually were showed some quality Fan Fic.

I love them! some are so good I think they should be episodes!! I mostly write on fanfiction.net

Lex is soo hard to do right, but surprisingly most people can do it, and even if they don't it's still a good story.
