Skittles Well, in the 1 Corinthians verse, I don't think it's talking about death. When it says handing him over to satan, I think it's still in part referring to the same thing the end of the chapter says. Verses 12-19 are talking about not having part with those who commit such sins and call themselves brothers. Then it goes on to say: 12For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."It says put away. God doesn't want them in the church, as you said, because it make the church look hypocritical. And in verse 5 when it says hand them over to satan, I believe it's referring to the same thing. If they aren't in the church, there in the world, and satan is the ruler of the world. So I don't believe that it's talking about literal death. I read through the same section in several different versions of the bible to see if what I was seeing in one, followed through all of them. I think the new living translation made it pretty simple: in the name of the Lord Jesus. You are to call a meeting of the church, and I will be there in spirit, and the power of the Lord Jesus will be with you as you meet. Then you must cast this man out of the church and into Satan's hands, so that his sinful nature will be destroyed and he himself will be saved when the Lord returns. Anyways, those are my thoughts, and I would love to hear more of yours! xd

Therion_Berserk How can you listen to an idea. God is nothing more then an idea. a state of mind. there is no profe. and don't give me the ******** bible as profe. For the bible controdicts it self on many bassis. f.e. it said plants came before humans, but there is another part that says humans came before plants. WELL WHICH IS IT SMARTY PANTS!? Mr. sees all and knows all?! Make up your damn mind. Not to forgot anyone who rights like this. "then god created light and it was good." doesn't know s**t about anything, especially english literature and common knowledge. Last thing I remember is that love is not a sin. So what if a girl and a girl enjoy each other. so what if a guy is attracted to another guy? Is it hurting you? Everytime 2 guys kiss does it cut you? Does your hair fall out? You bunch of inconsiderate people. how about if it doesn't cause physical pain or injury to you, if it doesn't jepordise your rights, if it restricts you in any way, then don't worry about it. It's not for you to worry about it. Go eat your crackers and baptise yourselves or something more productive then pissing people off! Who the ******** gave any religion the right to claim what is moral and what isn't? Hitler said it was moral to kill jews, communists, gypsies, and anything that could taint the German/Nordic blood. Should i do that too? First of all, where in the Bible does it say those things that you say it does that are contradictory? And yes, when taken out of context, some scriptures seem contradictory. Anything taken out of context can be contradictory or taken completely wrong. And Christians (or at least I'm not) aren't saying that it hurts us when homosexuals make out or we hear about it. I am only saying that I don't agree with it, not that it personally insults me. And obviously you can't take what anyone says (see the qoute re: Hitler) just without thinking first. See if it makes sense, think about it. Ponder it. Hitler's reason is nonsensical. Maybe Christianity is as well, but think about it at least. I've considered the issue of homosexuality for quite a while, seeing as many of my friends are gay or lesbian. But I have decided that, while it may not destroy the universe, God made men and women to be together in a perfect and holy union, and we should not destroy that. I'm not telling you what to think. Make up your own mind. I might not agree with you, but that doesn't mean I'm condemning you.

And if you "don't believe" the Bible, then too bad! The Bible is the oldest book in print and is nearly the oldest scripture in the entire world! Just because you don't believe it doesn't make it false and doesn't apply to you. Whether you like it or not this applies to everyone in the world.

Yes indeed. Eve was made for Adam and Adam loved her. That’s how the world it supposed to work. I think that gays and lesbians have a deep physiological issue to work out. It’s not like they are bad, they just have a problem. We all have problems and we should all try to work them out 3nodding .
