I'm learning Jap!!! Just started though, so I can't say much crying And YAY!!!! Another non-asian person!!!! Though, truthfully, I don't myself WANT to BE asian....I want to live in Japan someday, true, and marry an asian man (coughcoughCHANGMINcough) but, I am perfectly happy being a white American 3nodding

I'm fine being american but im not really white XD im a mix of mainly Mexican and German but I have other thngs in me also.But anyways yea I cant wait to finish school and move to Korea XD well id move anywear but here >.>(not a big fan of our goverment) Me too1 I will only marry an asain man XD (oh my dads side of the family will kill me what that happens)

hahaha....with me being Asian is fine...but asian guys are cute!!!!!!!!!!! i can' say much in Jap. thou....'cuz officially....im taking 1st yr Spanish...i only learn Jap from books and manga/anime...hichic...so plz teach me Jap. ppl!!! crying crying

Same here! I want to learn japanese and korean! ANd then if I ever meet DBSK (and maybe faint right after i do), i can start a conversation with them!
Oh my gosh, i want to die. THe most embarrassing thing happened to me today. My family and my cousin's friend were going to Hong Kong Buffet today, and my cousin and I were playing while we waited for uncle (cousin's dad). But while playing she gets on one knee and pretends to go,"MARRY ME" and I laugh and suddenly shout out : AH BWUA LA?!?!?!
meaning : what the h*** in korean...aka, it's A CURSE WORD!
and 2 people just HAPPEN to pass by and i hear them repeat "ah bwua la" and add something else.
I stood there stunned.
And then when they were gone, my cousin went hysterical.
reason : those people were koreans....
I WANTED TO DIE!!!!

to^.i nghie^.p chu*a...no'i tie^'ng Ha`n thi` co' ngu*o*i` Ha`n 8 la.i lie^`n...hehehe...sorry can't help it!!! rofl rofl it happened to me once....since i have some Chinese friends...they taught me some Chinese curse words...and we were walking down the street and they poked me (to make me laugh) then I cursed sth in Chinese...2 other Chinese men walked by and looked at me like Im a crazy nut head....i felt so weird!!!! crying crying ......ah....baka neko!!!

*Blink* Luckily....I have never had that happen. Although, I am DARN proud of the fact that the first words/phrases of ANY language that I learn are usually swears/insults xd Seriously, I know so many it is disgusting........ And I am definately caucasian through and through.....German, Hungarian, Dutch, English....You don't get much more caucasian than that..... sweatdrop

lmao, oh dear gosh. the FIRST word i learned in korean (and BIG credits to Jaejoong form UNFORGETTABLE LOVE for this), is AH BWUA LA.
because he kept getting slapped by Bae Seul Gi. rofl his curse is growing on me....

HAHAHA, that has happened to my friend they were singing the 3 bears song while walking around the city and a korean couple walked passed and giggled.
@nacom: HAHA, that's so funny, i only say stuff in different languages if i'm like 100% sure of it. my sister and i use jap as much as we can also to avoid our parents understanding our conversations.
@Ylwa: What was teh chinese curse word?? hahaha.
and can you translate the korean and japanese swear words for us too! i want to learn ^o^
@Miss Wednesday: i want to live in japan one day it's so nice there. i don't really like the fact people learn so much jap from anime cause it's so informal most of the time and slangy. it's better to learn formal first and then realise how words become informal over time. cause it's just like learning "Yo wassup man how ya doin?'" in english and not knowing how to say "Hello, how are you?"

Dw japanese isn't THAT hard, once you get grammar structure down and build your vocab that's pretty much it.

I have learned some formal from my oldest sister, she took about 4-5 years of jap so she teaches me alittle when she vists but shes been teaching me russain also so I do get them mixed up.All I picked up from animes was greatings and 1 phrase "I'll be waiting for that day" (from Noir) I dont know hwo to type it out so I wont =P. We stuided japanese in my world languages class (before I was hoemschooled) so I learned to count alittle also.
